[Toy Review] Lovegasm Seductive Rose Vibrator

Rose sex toys seem to be all the rage at the moment, possibly largely thanks to one such product going viral on TikTok in early 2021. Since then, many different variations on the theme have come out from various companies, some of which I’ve tested in the past. This week, I received another of these toys to try out: the Seductive Rose Vibrator from Lovegasm.

Lovegasm Seductive Rose Vibrator: Details

The Lovegasm Seductive Rose Vibrator is a clitoral “suction” toy, meaning that it has an open nozzle and delivers stimuation to the clitoris via pulses of air. This petite toy measures just 2.6″ from base to top, and 2.3″ in diameter at the widest point. The nozzle is 0.5″ in diameter. It’s light and easy to hold, coming in at a petite 124g.

The charging time is around 75 minutes, and you’ll get 75-90 minutes use out of a full charge. The Seductive Rose Vibrator has a waterproof rating of IPX4, meaning it is splashproof but you should not submerge it in water.

In the box you’ll also find a magnetic USB charging stand, an instruction leaflet, and a drawstring storage bag,

The Seductive Rose Vibrator is coated in 100% soft and body-safe silicone. Confusingly, the box it came in claims the material is “silica gel”, which is a different thing entirely. I flame-tested the toy and the results indicate real silicone, which is what I already suspected from the look and feel of the material, so you can use it with confidence.

If you like pretty toys, you’ll love this one. The toy is a lovely deep red and the silicone is fashioned into delicate rose petals at the top.

Settings and Controls

The Seductive Rose offers 3 constant speeds and 7 patterns. You control these through a single button interface located just below the centre of the toy’s main body. The button is easy to press and responsive. It also lights up, making it easy to see if you’re playing in low light.

I would have preferred both-ways controls to switch between settings. However, I can forgive that oversight in a toy at this price-point.

Does it Feel Like Cunnilingus?

These types of suction-based sex toys are often marketed as oral sex simulators. While I sort of understand where the thinking behind this is coming from, it’s just not really accurate. Cunnilingus is a very, very difficult think to effectively mimic with a sex toy. Despite valiant efforts, I’m not sure any toy manufacturer has succeeded yet.

seductive rose vibrator from Lovegasm

So does the Seductive Rose Vibrator feel like receiving cunnilingus? No. That doesn’t mean it’s not a good toy, but it means I cannot get behind the claim that the Seductive Rose Vibrator will “satisfy your craving for oral action.” I’ve used enough pressure wave toys at this point that I don’t go in expecting them to feel like cunnilingus. A beginner to this type of toy might not know that, though, and I don’t think this kind of marketing is helpful.

In Use

With the above said, I actually think the Seductive Rose Vibrator is a great toy! The motor is strong enough to get the job done, and the range of settings allows you to explore with different sensations. I also like that the smaller nozzle allows for intensely focused and targeted clitoral stimulation. This is such an easy toy to use – I pretty much just switch it to my favourite setting, put it in place, and hold it there until I come. Bliss!

seductive rose vibrator from Lovegasm

Here’s a little pro tip for you: if a toy like this one is too intense when you place it directly over your clit, try positioning it over the hood instead. You’ll still get all that focused sensation, but with a little less intensity.

The Seductive Rose Vibrator isn’t too loud, coming in at around 60 dB at its loudest. If it’s switched on and the door is closed, it cannot be heard in the next room.

Thanks to its light weight, the Seductive Rose is easy to angle and position. It is comfortable to hold in place even for an extended session. It’s worth bearing in mind that the nozzle is on the smaller side. Genitals, like all body parts, come in different shapes and sizes and this toy might not be a good fit if you have a larger glans clitoris (that’s the external bit.)

Verdict

The Seductive Rose retails for just £34, making it an excellent budget-friendly sex toy. With body-safe materials, a decent motor, multiple settings to choose from, and an attractive design, it’s got everything you need in a basic clitoral toy at an affordable price-point.

[Toy Review] Satisfyer Wand-er Woman

Satisfyer started out making pressure wave toys, bringing products like the excellent Satisfyer Pro 2 and the famously adorable Pro Penguin to market. After that, they branched out into vibrators, some of which I loved and some of which were just okay. So I suppose it was inevitable they’d make a wand eventually.

The good folks at EroticFeel, an online sex shop selling an extensive range of products from sex toys and lingerie to BDSM gear, were kind enough to send me the Satisfyer Wand-er Woman to try out.

Wand-erful First Impressions?

The Wand-er Woman arrived discreetly in plain packaging and inside, the toy was presented in an attractive blue/pink/purple box with information about the toy and line drawings of nude women. I have to say that I don’t like this product’s name. It’s a cute pun, sure, but it’s really unnecessarily gendered since wand vibrators are for everyone.

Satisfyer Wand-er Woman wand vibrator

My other first impression of the Satisfyer Wand-er Woman is that it’s LARGE. Measuring 34cm (13.4″) in length and weighing in at 647g, this is not a small toy. I’m not necessarily opposed to large toys, but they can be challenging to hold and manipulate and are inaccessible for some people. I actually found the thickness of the Wand-er Woman’s handle to be more of a problem than its weight alone. I have fairly small hands, but the thickness of this toy’s handle combined with its weight made it challenging to hold for long enough to have a decent play session with it.

Woman holding magic wand vibrator by Satisfyer

The Wand-er Woman is available in three colourways: black, white, or purple. I received the white version, which has lilac buttons and a silver decorative bad at the top of the handle. The Wand-er Woman is rechargeable via the included cable, and completely waterproof. The body and head are coated in soft, body-safe matte silicone and the silicone cap is removeable from the head, which allows for easier cleaning.

In Use

The Wand-er Woman boasts ten vibration settings (constant vibration plus 9 patterns) and 5 speeds, for an impressive total of 50 possible combinations. The three-button interface is simple and intuitive, and the buttons are easy to press. I appreciated being able to scroll through the speeds by simply holding the plus or minus buttons down, without needing to press repeatedly. The Wand-er Woman’s neck has a little flex, which is useful for positioning.

Satisfyer Wand-er Woman magic wand vibrator buttons

The Wand-er Woman is not quite as powerful, nor as rumbly, as many of the corded wands in my collection. It doesn’t deliver the eyeball-shaking, whole-room-rattling intensity of some of my all-time faves. It also doesn’t quite match up in terms of deep, penetrating rumbles.

Satisfyer Wand-er Woman wand vibrator

That’s not to say it isn’t powerful, though! All but the most discerning Power Royalty will still be able to get plenty of pleasure out of this toy. It’s not exactly buzzy, either, just… somewhere closer to the centre of the buzz/rumble spectrum. I need the highest setting to get off, but not everyone’s clit is as demanding as mine. I also don’t particularly care for patterns – I tried them all for the sake of being thorough, and because I keep hoping to meet a vibration pattern that changes my mind about vibration patterns, though I haven’t yet.

The cordless design is useful, as I don’t always wand power cords trailing across my bedroom (and, in environments like play parties, there isn’t always an outlet available). The battery life is good. Noise-wise, it’s fine. Interestingly, I’ve seen some users complain of their Wand-er Woman being excessively loud, but mine just makes a persistent hum at the kind of volume you’d expect for a toy at this power level. It’s not silent but it doesn’t sound like a power tool, either.

Verdict

One of the key selling points of the Satisfyer Wand-er Woman is its relatively affordable price point. Retailing for £44.95 at full price, it’s less than half the price of many of its main competitors. If you’re willing to cope with the downsides, such as the toy’s weight and the width of the handle, and you’re not expecting the same power you’d get from a pricy corded toy, it’s a perfectly fine option. Folks on a budget, or beginners wanting to try out wands without splashing out £100 or more immediately, might find it’s perfectly adequate for their needs.

I don’t think I’ll be reaching for it regularly, but I’m glad it exists!

[Toy Review] Sohimi Rose Queen

I tend to come to cheap sex toys with a healthy degree of scepticism. Yes, there are amazing toys costing under £30 out there. But so many budget sex toys are poor in quality, made of unsafe materials, have shitty buzzy motors, or die after three uses. I say all this to illustrate how impressed I was with the Sohimi Rose Queen, a $37.99 (that’s about £27.50) dual purpose sex toy that absolutely blew me away.

A Rose Queen by any other name…

(Yes, there are going to be rose puns.)

The Sohimi Rose Queen is a dual purpose sex toy shaped like – you guessed it – a rose on a stem. Look how pretty it is!

Sohimi Rose Queen review product

The flower part of the rose houses a clitoral suction toy, while the handle is a vibrator that can be used internally or externally. Given that the rose head offers a form of flared base, you could even use it anally, if you wanted.

The Sohimi Rose Queen is made of soft and body-safe silicone in a bright shade of red. (Real silicone, not a weird blend or an unsafe gel material masquerading as silicone!) It is rechargeable, offering an hour’s run time and taking around two hours to charge via the included magnetic cable, and fully waterproof.

Sohimi Rose Queen clit sucking vibrator

This toy measures 8″ in total length, of which 6″ makes up the insertable handle and 2″ the rose head. The shaft measures 1.3″ in diameter at the widest point and is lovely and flexible.

Interface and functionality

The Sohimi Rose Queen features two buttons, located on the top of the shaft just below the rose head. The top button (with a lips icon) controls the suction functionality, while the bottom button (with a vibration waves icon) controls the vibrations in the shaft.

Sohimi Rose Queen double ended vibrator buttons

You can use both settings at once, though I’m not really sure why you’d want to.

The clitoral sucking rose head offers five settings: three constant speeds and two pulsing settings. The vibrating end, meanwhile, offers 10 settings: 3 speeds and 7 patterns. I’d have preferred two-way controls, as you have to scroll all the way through to find the settings you want, but we can’t have everything. Remember, this is a $38 vibrator.

Sohimi Rose Queen close-up of clitoral sucking vibrator

Volume-wise, the Rose Queen is acceptable. The vibrations are about what you’d expect for the level of power on offer. Unusually, the clitoral suction end actually gets louder when applied to the body. According to Sohimi, the toy’s highest volume is still under 30 dB, so it’s not egregiously loud or anything.

Rose to the occasion?

So how did the Sohimi Rose Queen fare in use?

The most important thing with any sex toy, ultimately, is “did it get me off?” And dear God, yes, the Rose Queen got me off!

The nozzle is wide enough to encompass a good portion of the external clit, and the silicone is soft enough to provide comfort during use, especially if you add plenty of lube to its rim.

Here’s something I’ve learned: if suction sex toys feel too intense for you, try applying the nozzle over your clitoral hood rather than directly to the glans itself. Many people find that this lowers the overwhelming intensity without reducing pleasure.

Sohimi Rose Queen flexible shaft vibrator

The shape of this toy is a real godsend. Many suction toys are difficult to hold or position in the way that works for my body, simply due to their shape. But the Sohimi Rose Queen’s flexible stem handle is not only comfortable and ergonomic to hold, but also makes it easy to manipulate the toy into my desired position and keep it there.

The vibrating end did less for me. I’m not a fan of internal vibrations, and the vibes are a little too buzzy to do much for me in the way of clitoral stimulation. However, the firm-yet-flexible silicone means it can be used as an insertable dildo for G-spot (or prostate) stimulation, if that’s your thing.

I doubt I’ll reach for the Rose Queen for internal use much, if at all. But that rose head end though? Yes, that’s going to see plenty of use!

Verdict

If you’re looking for an affordable, dual purpose sex toy that offers both vibrations and sucking action, then you’ve found it. The Rose Queen isn’t perfect, of course. The lack of two-way controls and the buzzy vibrations are notable downsides. But overall, it’s a great product that is made of quality materials and gets the job done.

I don’t usually care much about packaging, unless you count getting upset by excessive single-use plastics. But the Rose Queen came packaged in a lovely sturdy box with a rose design on the outside. If you’re on a budget but want to give your loved one a toy that feels special, this is a really nice touch that makes the Rose Queen ideal for gifting.

[Toy Review] Lovehoney x ROMP Switch Suction Clitoral Stimulator

I love many of Womanizer’s products and their suction-based clitoral stimulators are second to none. (Which is probably why so many companies have shamelessly ripped them off since!) But there’s one issue: most of them are really, really expensive.

This puts first-time users off. And I get it. I probably wouldn’t spend £70 for the most basic model (or £170 for a fancy high-end version) of something if I wasn’t pretty damn sure it would work for me. Reviewers and fans have been calling for a more affordable version for ages.

Well, here it is. Let’s take a closer look at the ROMP Switch, an exclusive collaboration between Lovehoney and ROMP by Womanizer.

Get Switch-ed On

The ROMP Switch is a clitoral suction toy utilising the same trademarked Pleasure Air technology as the rest of the Womanizer range. It came attractively packaged in a branded green box with a picture of the toy on the front:

Lovehoney Womanizer ROMP Switch sex toy packaging

The Switch measures 5 inches in length and features a tapered ergonomic handle. Its body is made of ABS plastic in an attractive lilac purple, and its nozzle is made of silicone, meaning that the toy is 100% non-porous and body-safe. The nozzle is removeable for easy cleaning.

ROMP Switch clitoral suction toy

The ROMP Switch is a battery-powered toy, requiring 2 x AAA batteries (included.) You’ll get a seriously impressive 300 minutes (around 5 hours) of runtime out of a set of batteries! For reference, I’ve never had a rechargeable toy last that long on a single charge. The ROMP Switch is splashproof but not waterproof, so bear that in mind if you’re a fan of bath wanking.

The ROMP Switch retails for a very affordable £34.99 ($34.99 US), and you can get a further 10% off by using my code “coffkink10” at checkout. If you’re specifically looking for a rechargeable toy, you can get the rechargeable ROMP Shine for £15 more.

Use and Experience

Yes, yes, yes! Ultimately, the litmus test for any sex toy is “does it get me off reliably?” and dear God, yes, the ROMP Switch delivers in that regard.

Nozzle of clitoral suction vibrator

The shape is good, and the gentle curve means it was easy to get a good seal around my clit with the nozzle. I found it easiest to hold the toy with the handle pointing downwards, but some may find rotating it 90 degrees (so the handle points up towards your stomach) is more comfortable. Experiment and see what works – there’s no right or wrong way to do it.

The ROMP Switch has six power settings, ranging from a gentle lapping up to “powerful” and then “holy shit”. The two-button interface is simple, and – praise the sex toy deities! – features +/- controls so you can change the setting either up or down. The buttons are easy to press, intuitively placed on the front of the toy in the middle, and easy to feel for without looking.

The ROMP Switch’s nozzle is quite firm, and I found that adding plenty of lube made my experience much more pleasurable and fun. Swirl some water-based lube on the toy’s nozzle and/or your body before you get started.

It’s important to note that if you’re used to traditional vibrators, suction clitoral stimulators feel very different. Some people liken it to the feeling of cunnilingus, though I personally don’t experience them as similar. The best way I can describe it is a kind of very rapid tapping sensation on your clit.

The ROMP Switch gets me off every bit as well as many of the more expensive suction toys I’ve tried, and better than some. Yes, it’s lean on extra features (for example, it doesn’t offer additional vibrations, patterns, or a fancy silencing function.) But all those things are just that: extras, not essentials. This is a simple but effective toy that does the job it’s designed to do, and does it damn well.

Womanizer ROMP Switch clitoral stimulator with pleasure air technology

If I have one complaint about this toy, it’s the noise. It is noticeably noisier than some of the pricier suction sex toys I’ve used, though the noise is somewhat dampened when it’s pressed against the body. I didn’t find it particularly intrusive or problematic, but it’s something to be aware of if discretion is important to you.

Final Thoughts and Verdict

If you’ve never tried a clitoral suction toy and you’re curious, you could do a lot worse than the ROMP Switch. Likewise if you’re into that kind of sensation and you’re on a budget.

Effective, affordable, and cute – what’s not to like?

[Toy Review] Pillow Talk Sassy

Update 15/09/23: unfortunately Self & More has now closed down. Links have been removed or amended to reflect this. This toy is still available from other retails including the wonderful Pleasure Garden.

There are a few sex toys that have been on my “want to review” list forever. The Pillow Talk Sassy was one such product, after seeing sex bloggers I respect immensely (including Epiphora) raving about it.

So I was thrilled when the lovely folks at Self & More – a boutique, women-owned sex shop based in London – reached out to offer me the Sassy for review. Shall we dive in and find out what I thought?

(Pssst. There’s also a discount code for you at the bottom of this review, so keep reading!)

Pillow Talk Sassy: First Impressions

One of the things that immediately drew me to the Sassy was the gorgeous colour. It’s a lovely mint green, which is probably my favourite colour apart from purple! This is a relatively unusual colour for a sex toy, and it stands out amidst a sea of pink and other more common colours. (The Sassy does also come in pink, if that’s your thing.)

The Pillow Talk Sassy’s button features a sparkly Swarovski crystal, which is entirely unnecessary but also pleasingly extra to a #Sparklefemme such as myself.

The Sassy came attractively packaged in a white, clear front box. Included with the toy, there was a charging cable, a satin storage pouch, and – this is really cool – a little cleaning brush to help you clean in those tricky grooves and ridges.

The Pillow Talk Sassy in its white, clear front box

Facts & Figures

The Pillow Talk Sassy is 7.5″ long, with 5″ of insertable length, and the diameter is 1.5″ at the widest post. It is splashproof (not fully waterproof) and USB rechargeable. The advertised charge time is 2.5 hours; in reality, I got around 2 on full power.

The Sassy has a pronounced curve and bulbous head. It is made of 100% silky-smooth, body-safe silicone.

The Pillow Talk Sassy G-spot vibrator on a desk

As ever, water-based lube is your friend and will make your experience more pleasurable.

Simple one-button interface

The Pillow Talk Sassy has an unusual control system. It runs on a one-button interface and the button is large, intuitively located on the base of the shaft, and easy to press.

Button end of the Pillow Talk Sassy G-spot vibrator and clitoral vibrator

Here’s where things get unusual: once you’ve turned your toy on (via a quick press of the button,) you turn up the intensity by holding down the button. The power increases smoothly until you release the button. To give you an idea of how many intensity levels the Sassy offers, it took nine seconds to get to full power once switched on.

Another quick press switches the toy off. There are no patterns or any of that sillyness – just good, straightforward vibrations.

The Pillow Talk Sassy features a travel lock. Just press the button three times in quick succession to activate the travel lock, and then do the same again to release it. Useful if you don’t want your bag to start vibrating unexpectedly at the airport (remember those?)

In Use

Anyone who has read my work for a while will know that I have a thing for taking G-spot vibrations and repurposing them as clitoral vibes. The reason is simple: my G-spot doesn’t like being vibrated!

Fortunately, the Sassy is also a brilliant clitoral vibrator. It provides deep, rumbly vibration at all power levels, and the Powerbullet motor packs an impressive punch.

Pillow Talk Sassy clitoral vibrator and G-spot vibrator lying on a blanket

I absolutely love the shape of the Pillow Talk Sassy. It’s easy to hold and angle the tip against my clit. Though I’m not a fan of internal vibrations, I thought it might be fun to repurpose as a dildo. And oh my, yes, this little gem delivered! Its curve is ideal for reaching the right spot and getting that gorgeous “come hither” motion going. Honestly, I really want to have a partner fuck me with this while I use a bullet vibe on my clit.

The Sassy’s shaft is somewhat flexible, so that’s something to bear in mind if you prefer very rigid toys or intense G-spot pressure. I found the gentle flex made the experience more comfortable and fun.

The Sassy’s noise level is about what you’d expect for a toy at this level of power. Not silent by any stretch, but not likely to wake the neighbours, either!

Final Thoughts

The Pillow Talk Sassy is an awesome all-rounder. It takes a simple premise – a powerful, rumbly vibrator with a curve just made for G-spot pleasure – and it does it damn well. It is also pleasingly pretty – who says you can’t have beauty and function in one awesome package? The Sassy is shockingly well priced at £45, and of much higher quality than many toys that are two or three times the price.

Excellent on all scores. It’s earned a place in the coveted Easy Access Basket where all my favourite toys live!

Go get one. Your bits will thank you.

[Toy Review] Lovehoney Beaded Heart Glass Dildo

Glass sex toys are enduringly popular for a reason. They’re really pretty, body-safe, often very affordable, and feel fucking amazing. So I was thrilled when the very sweet and generous lockdown care package I received from Lovehoney contained this little (well, not so little) beauty! Meet the Lovehoney Beaded Heart Glass Dildo.

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo

What’s in the box?

My Glass Heart Dildo arrived in Lovehoney’s signature pink and white branded packaging. Inside is the toy (wrapped in a generous amount of thick packing foam for safe transportation,) and a useful and stylish black velvety storage bag with pink drawstrings.

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo is 8 inches in total length, of which around 6 inches are insertable. At its widest point the diameter is 1.4″. Glass toys tend to be heavy, and this one weighs in at a hefty 310g.

This toy is super pretty. I love the aesthetic of glass toys and the pink heart handle with the Lovehoney heart insignia stamped on it adds a cute femme touch to this one. I’m sure they’d sell even more if it came in different colour options!

Are glass toys body-safe?

Yep!

Properly made glass sex toys are made from annealed borosilicate glass. This type of glass is non-porous and phthalate-free, and therefore the ideal material for body-safe sex toys. This type of glass is also hardwearing and sturdy. There’s virtually no risk of it breaking inside your body. Use with confidence!

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo

A couple of caveats:

Be careful how you store your glass toy, because it could break if you drop it or put something heavy on top of it. If you accidentally drop your toy on a hard surface, even if it looks fine, I advise retiring it. There could be fractures in the glass which you can’t see but which compromise its integrity and safety. And please, please do not use any glass items as sex toys that were not designed for that purpose! (Or any item, frankly.)

You can use any type of body-safe lube with a glass toy. Water-based is nearly always my preference, but silicone-based and oil-based are fine too, so pick what works for you.

Clean your glass toy with soap and warm water, a body-safe sterile wipe (I buy mine in bulk from a medical supplier,) or a 10% bleach solution. You can also put a condom over it if you want to share it with a partner without sterilising in between, if you’re not fluid-bonded.

How easy is it to hold and manipulate?

The heart at the top of the Beaded Glass Heart Dildo makes a convenient handle for ease of use. It fits well in my small hand. Folks with bigger hands might find it a little more challenging.

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo

If you struggle with heavy toys, it’s worth bearing the weight of this one in mind. It was fine for me, but some people might find the heft of a large glass toy difficult.

How does it feel?

I’m in love with the feel of this dildo! I love the unyielding rigidity of glass, the ridges along the shaft feel delicious, and the bulbous head at the end is perfect for targeted G-spot stimulation. The weight of it also gives an amazing full feeling.

Personally I don’t like to thrust with glass dildos, as I find it intense to the point of being unpleasant. Instead I like to get it into the right position and then wiggle it gently. Other fun things to do include having this toy inside you while you use a clitoral vibrator, or pressing a powerful wand vibrator against the base of the dildo. The glass transmits the vibrations all the way inside for intense G-spot stimulation!

Another wonderful thing about glass dildos? They’re ideal for temperature play! Pop your Glass Heart Dildo in the fridge for 20 minutes before using it, or run it under some warm (not hot!) water. The change in temperature wakes your nerves up and makes the sensations extra intense.

Is it anal safe?

I deliberated on this one, but I’m going to say yes. The flared ridge and fairly large heart handle mean that the odds of anything going wrong if you use this toy anally are very very small. Remember to use plenty of lube – the butt isn’t self-lubricating, and using something rigid like a glass toy without sufficient lube can be painful or even cause tearing.

Final thoughts: do I recommend it?

I really love this dildo! Glass toys are an enduring favourite of mine for all the reasons listed above, and the Beaded Glass Heart Dildo delivers spectacularly. A+, highly recommended. And at just £29.99 ($39.99 US), it’s an absolute steal!

Thank you to Lovehoney, who sent me the Beaded Glass Heart Dildo as part of a very sweet lockdown care package. This post contains affiliate links and buying through them supports my work at no extra cost to you!

[Toy Review] Noje Magic Wand

The Noje Magic Wand was sent to me by Francesca at The Pleasure Garden, a wonderful feminist sex-shop with an inclusive, safety-first ethos.

The Noje Magic Wand mint green vibrator on a white sheet

So pretty!

Can we just take a second to acknowledge how pretty this colour is? In an endless sea of the same colours again and again, toys that do something surprising and different aesthetically are a big hit. I love this green, which I can’t decide if it’s mint or turquoise.

Important Bits & Bobs

The Noje Magic Wand vibrator is a teeny-tiny little thing. It is just 13cm in length, and fits completely in my (also very small) hand. It looks like a very miniature version of the classic wand vibrator shape, only with a curved handle. Weighing in at just 67g, the Noje is a great choice if heavier toys are difficult for you.

The Noje Magic Wand mint green vibrator in a womans hand

The body of the toy is ABS plastic and it has a silicone cap which fits over the head. This makes it 100% body-safe, non-porous and phthalate-free, so you can play safely. The silicone cap pops off and back on easily, so you can wash it thoroughly or even boil-sterilise if you wish. Water-based lube is safest and makes everything more fun!

The Noje Magic Wand is rechargeable via a magnetic cable (included,) and is fully waterproof. The Noje is brought to us by Blush Novelties, who make a bunch of other awesome products including my favourite bullet vibrator of all time. It retails for a very reasonable £39.99.

Packs a Punch!

Don’t let the small size fool you – this baby has some serious power behind it.

The Noje Magic Wand mint green vibrator on a black and white sheet

Blush consistently use incredibly good motors in their toys. (Again: that $32 bullet vibe!) The Noje Magic Wand is no exception. It has ten settings in total, five constant vibration speeds and five patterns. The lower levels start out with a deep rumble, building up to some impressive power at the higher speeds.

Of course, as this toy is so small you don’t get quite the same level of broad stimulation that you’d get with a full-size wand. However, if you’re after something a little less pinpoint than a bullet but still good and powerful, the Noje Magic Wand delivers.

Flexible Neck

I’m torn on the flexible neck design of this toy. On the one hand, it’s great because it means you can angle the toy precisely and get it exactly where you want it. The downside, though, is that many of us – me included – like to press a toy hard against our vulva, and the flex here makes it hard to do so.

It’s not really a concrete good or bad – it’s just a thing to be aware of. You know best whether it is likely to be a plus or minus for you.

Simple Interface

The Noje Magic Wand operates on a one-button interface, which sits in the base of the toy. You hold the button down to switch the toy on, press it to cycle through the patterns and speeds, and hold it down again to switch the toy off.

The Noje Magic Wand mint green vibrator in a womans hand

You may know that I’m not a huge fan of a one-button interface. I prefer to be able to scroll back through settings, rather than having to cycle all the way back through to go back to one I liked or dial it down a notch.

The button itself is in a sensible place, large enough to press easily, and makes a satisfying click.

Other Things of Note

The battery life of this toy is decent. I got about 90 minutes of play out of a full charge (which took around 2 hours.)

Noise-wise, the Noje Magic Wand is very quiet for the amount of power you get. On full power, I cannot hear it from outside my (closed) bedroom door. If a full-size wand is too noisy for your needs (perhaps you live with roommates or have kids asleep in the next room) this is a great choice.

One thing I did notice about this toy is that it tends to get very warm. The head started getting noticably hot after about ten minutes of continuous use. It wasn’t hot enough to hurt me or anything, and the toy continued functioning just fine, but I do worry about what consistent high level use might be doing to the motor if it heats up that quickly.

Overall: do I recommend it?

The Noje Magic Wand is a real winner! It packs a lot of power into a small, discreet and super-cute package. Yet another brilliant addition to Blush’s already very strong line-up.

[Toy Review] The Godemiche Offbeat

I’ve been sitting on this one for a long damn time, in part because it took us so long to get to actually testing it. But after giving it a second trial run this morning, I am ready to tell you all about the Offbeat from Godemiche.

It’s no secret that I fucking love Godemiche. This UK-based team run by husband-and-wife duo Adam and Monika have been making gorgeous, hand-poured silicone dildos for a number of years now… and now they’ve branched out into penis toys as well! (And yes, their marketing copy refers to the Offbeat as a “toy for the penis”, not a “toy for men” – hooray! I wish all companies would go this inclusive route).

The Godemiche Offbeat sitting on a red laptop keyboard.

Let’s go OffBeat…

The OffBeat is a tube-shaped silicone masturbator sleeve. Inside it has a simple bobble texture, while the outside has a gentle ripple. Each one has the company name stamped along the rim at the bottom, and the “G” Godemiche logo on the side. Each OffBeat comes in its own little storage tub – it looks like a miniature poster tube. This useful addition makes for easy and hygienic storage.

Sizes and colours and customising, oh my!

OffBeat comes in two sizes: Grande is 5cm in length, and Venti is 10cm in length. (And those who understand will know why these size names made me laugh!) Both sizes are 3cm in diameter. We received the longer Venti version for review. Even this larger size is compact and lightweight. Easy to throw in your bag for a date or a filthy weekend away!

Which size you pick is up to your preferences. If you prefer plenty of concentrated stimulation around the head of your penis, I suggest going for the smaller Grande. Godemiche point out that the Grande is also a great companion to oral sex. Simply tease the head of the penis for a while, then slide the Grande down the shaft and use it to stimulate the base of the penis while giving your partner head, simulating the feeling of a deeper blowjob. The longer Venti, on the other hand, is ideal if you prefer longer strokes and plenty of up-and-down motion. If you’re looking for something that comes closer to simulating penetration, you definitely want to go for the Venti.

The Godemiche Offbeat on a green carpet

One of my favourite things about Godemiche is the sheer variety of colours and styles on offer. Whatever colour toy you want, they can probably make it for you! I have a one-of-a-kind bi pride Ambit that I bought in a charity auction and it’s one of my favourite toys ever. I also bought a gorgeous red Adam in their last sale.

The OffBeat currently comes in 6 standard colours, 8 fabulously bright UV colours, and 12 gorgeous pearlescent colours. Ours is pearlescent gold and it’s absolutely beautiful.

A refreshing body-safe offering

Sex toy options for people with penises are often woefully lacking. This is gradually changing as awesome companies like Hot Octopuss, Fun Factory and now Godemiche start offering brilliant cock toys. Unfortunately, most of the strokers on the market are still made of porous and sometimes toxic materials such as jelly, rubber, PVC, TPE/TPR and the notoriously vague “Realistic Feel”.

So of course I am delighted that the OffBeat is made of 100% silicone. This means it is completely body-safe: non-toxic and non-porous.

To clean your OffBeat after use, turn it inside out and wash it thoroughly with warm water and gentle soap. Take extra care to ensure that no fluids remain trapped between the bobbles. You can also sterilise your stroker by sticking it in a pan of boiling water for 10 minutes, or running it through the dishwasher in the top rack.

If you want to share the toy with a non fluid-bonded partner, it’s easy to give it a wash between uses or you can just wear a condom, which shouldn’t impede the toy’s performance in any way.

For maximum comfort and pleasure, use a good quality water-based lube. I recommend slathering plenty of lube inside the stroker and also putting some directly on your penis.

So how does it feel?

Now, obviously I don’t have a dick, so I turned to my trusty stunt-cock Mr CK to help me out with this one. His reaction when I lubed up the toy and slid it onto his cock was instantaneous. Apparently the bobbles on the inside of the toy provided a good amount of friction and sensation without needing to grip very hard at all. This may make it a good choice for people who find gripping hard during masturbation difficult, such as those who suffer from pain in their hands. I certainly found it made pleasuring him for a decent length of time easier.

Mr CK also explained that one of the things he likes about this toy is that it is so simple but really makes masturbation feel substantially different from usual. He likened it to the difference between wanking with your dominant vs non-dominant hand, or the difference between masturbating yourself and having someone else do it for you. Basically, if you’re looking to change up your usual masturbation routine, grab yourself one of these!

The gentle ripple shape of the outside of the sleeve means it sits comfortably in the hand, a finger in each dip. We also tried the toy with me pleasuring him with it, and found this was equally true whichever of us was doing the work.

Size-wise, this is a flexible toy. It stretches well and then “hugs” the penis once it’s inside, so would suit a wide variety of penis lengths and girths.

An absolute hit. I think this one is going to live in the “easy access basket” for things we use all the time.

(The Easy Access Basket just needs its own damn post, doesn’t it?)

Do we recommend it?

We really like this toy! It’s simple, highly effective, body-safe, affordable and should suit a wide range of bodies.

OffBeat retails for £25 for the Venti size directly from Godemiche. The smaller Grande size is £20.

[Toy Review] Rocks Off Chaiamo

I have a major soft spot for Rocks Off. I encountered them at my first Eroticon, where I met the wonderful Tabitha Rayne and bought her brilliant creation, the Ruby Glow (the first toy I ever reviewed!) One of the main things I love about this company is that they create body-safe toys at really accessible, entry-level prices. Their stuff is even available in my local Sainsburys, which is just brilliant.

So I was thrilled when Tabitha offered me RO’s latest creation to review. Enter the Chaiamo!

Chaiamo Vital Details…

The black Rocks Off Chaimo vibrator.

The Chaiamo is a straight vibrator with a gently tapered tip – the classic “lipstick” shape. (Though without the ridiculous “let’s try to actually disguise it as a lipstick” gimmick, thank Goddess).

It is a little over 6″ long in total, with 5″ being insertable. At the widest point, the width is 1.25″. The Chaiamo is fully waterproof and USB rechargeable. The advertising copy says it gives around 3 hours’ use for a single charge, but mine was definitely more than that – probably closer to 4 hours in total, over several uses.

This toy comes in three colour-ways and, praise be, NONE OF THEM ARE PINK. It comes in classic black, a stylish deep burgundy, and a pretty turquoise. Good on RO for bucking the “make everything pink” trend. Chaiamo currently retails for $44.99 at Peepshow Toys and $39.99 at Shevibe. UK readers can pick one up for £39.99 at Lovehoney.

Materials, safety and cleaning

The Chaiamo’s main body is made of soft silicone, with metallic accent at the base. This means, of course, that it is phthalate-free, non-porous and totally body safe.

As the Chaiamo is waterproof, you can clean it using warm water and a gentle soap, or use a body-safe medical wipe or 10% bleach solution to sterilise it more thoroughly. Remember not to boil-wash toys with motors!

The Chaiamo’s shape is ideal for using with a condom if you’re sharing with a non fluid-bonded partner.

Settings & Controls

The Chaiamo runs on a very simple one-button interface. The button (which sports the cute Rocks Off logo) is large and intuitively located on the base of the toy. It is easy and responsive to press. To turn the toy on or off, you simply hold down the button for 2 seconds.

The black Rocks Off Chaimo vibrator

The problem with one-button interfaces is that you cannot go back a step if you accidentally skip the setting you want – you have to scroll all the way back through. It’s an annoyance and the reason I generally prefer toys with +/- buttons, but it won’t ruin an otherwise good product for me.

The Chaiamo has ten settings in total: three constant speeds and seven patterns. I, along with (it seems) most of the sex blogging world, can honestly take or leave patterns. I occasionally enjoy playing around with them, especially if I’m doing a teasing or edging session, but if I just want to come then constant vibrations are where it’s at. Toy manufacturers, please consider this a plug for toys with more constant speeds and fewer patterns!

So how did it actually fare in use?

I’ve sometimes found Rocks Off toys, fab though they are, to not be quite powerful enough for my preferences. I love my Bamboo, but I tend to reach for it as a warm-up toy or when I am feeling especially sensitive.

So to say I was pleasantly surprised by the Chaiamo’s power was an understatement. At its higher speeds, this baby really packs a punch! I don’t know if RO have changed their motors generally or just used a different one in this slightly higher price-point toy, but good lord. And not only is it strong, but it’s rumbly, too. None of that horrible numbness you get from more buzzy toys. I am able to orgasm quickly and reliably with the Chaiamo, again and again. It’s been added to my easy-access basket of the toys I like best and use most often.

The gentle taper of the Chaiamo’s tip was great for me: I like a certain level of direct clit stimulation but not too pinpoint. (Remember the famed Zumio which I didn’t particularly like?) Be aware that if you like very pinpoint stimulation, this toy probably won’t be a good fit for you. But for my preferences, it was brilliant! Sometimes, it works really well for me by just pressing its length against my vulva and clit.

The Chaiamo is also a versatile toy, in that it can be just as easily used as an insertable as for clitoral play. I don’t like internal vibrations at all, so I didn’t use it in this way, but my friend Isabelle Lauren describes her experience very positively in her review.

Do I recommend it?

If you’re looking for a powerful and versatile clit/G-spot toy at an affordable price, look no further! A great offering from one of my favourite companies. I can’t wait to see what they come out with next.

Thank you to Tabitha Rayne and Rocks Off gifting me the Chaiamo in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are, as always, my own. Shopping via the affiliate links in this post helps me make a small commission and keep doing what I’m doing.

[Toy Review] Ruse Jammy Silicone Dildo by Blush Novelties

Can we acknowledge for a second how much great stuff Blush Novelties have been coming out with lately? From the best bullet to come out in ages which is rivaling the famed Tango in popularity, to their brilliant and colourful ‘Pride‘ line, this New York City based company is really one to watch. They’re already doing brilliant things and I suspect they’ll do more. Plus, their philosophy is “that all bodies are beautiful, worthy, and deserving of celebration and pleasure”. Can’t argue with that!

This new offering, the Ruse Jammy silicone dildo, was sent to me by our pals at Peepshow Toys. Visit them for all your body-safe pleasure product needs!

A sizeable realistic offering!

The Ruse Jammy is definitely a dildo for size-lovers. It’s 7.5″ long with a full 2″ in girth. For reference, the average factory-installed penis is around 5.1″ long and 1.4″ wide when erect. This is a sizeable toy! I gulped when I first took it out, but I’m unafraid in my quest to put things in my vagina and write about it for you… even things that make me go “eek!” when I see them.

The Ruse Jammy is made of 100% silicone, and has a suction cup. This means you can attach it to a hard surface – a wall, floor, bath/shower screen – and it also means it’s harness-compatible (why not pair with this fab Blush harness-brief I tested recently?) and anal safe.

The Ruse Jammy is also realistic in design. It has a veiny shaft, a subtle natural curve and a pronounced coronal ridge and  head. There’s even realistic-looking skin texturing and a meatus. This is a very well-designed realistic style toy! Of course, if realistic colouring is your thing you’ll want to look elsewhere – the Ruse Jammy comes in purple or jet black rather than anything resembling a lifelike skin tone. The silicone has a lovely smooth, satiny finish which feels wonderful to the touch.

Body-safety and things

This is a 100% silicone toy which means it’s completely body-safe. The best way to sterilise your silicone toys is to pop them in a pot of boiling water or the top shelf of the dishwasher. In between uses, wash with warm water and gentle soap or use a body-safe sterile wipe.

The Ruse Jammy is condom-compatible, but given the size you’ll want to use large condoms. Water-based lube is, as ever, recommended for silicone toys.

So how did I get on?

I’m not a size Queen, friends. I’m just not. I sometimes enjoy larger things inside of me (fisting is fun!) but more often than not, an average sized cock or small/medium dildo is more than enough to keep me satisfied.

I also have to be careful with depth of penetration, because I have an IUD and anything touching my cervix is painful. So realistically, taking this dildo all the way inside me simply wasn’t going to happen. Even so, I decided to give it a good go and see how I got on!

I tried it with one of my partners during a play session. With plenty of lube, we managed to get about half the shaft inside me relatively comfortably. It gave me a nice full feeling which I did very much enjoy. Once I’d got used to it, my partner tried fucking me with it. This, unfortunately, very quickly led to “Ow! Ouch! No! Too much!”

For me, the best use for this toy is to let it just sit inside me while I do other things such as clitoral play. Thrusting with a toy of this size is not something I find pleasurable.

So do I recommend it?

To size lovers, yes. If you’ve played with smaller dildos and just found they weren’t quite enough for you, the Ruse Jammy is a great and affordable larger option. Considering some toys this size run to £100 or more, the $33 (about £26) for a large silicone toy of this quality is an absolute steal.

I don’t recommend this one for beginners, or those who don’t know they can take large penetrative toys comfortably. But I wholeheartedly endorse it for length/girth lovers and those looking for a realistic toy at an affordable price.
