[Toy Review] Mr Hankey’s Toys Scimitar

Those who have read my sex toy reviews for a long time will know that I love a curvy dildo. That’s why, in my latest batch of review products from Mr Hankey’s Toys, I requested the Scimitar curvy dildo with ridges to try. Famous for giant toys, unique fantasy dildos, life-cast realistic toys, and more, Mr Hankey’s has come up with yet another unique concept. Let’s get into the review.

Mr Hankey’s Toys Scimitar: A Curvy Dildo with Ridges in Four Sizes

Mr Hankey's Toys Scimitar purple silicone curvy dildo with ridges down the back

The Scimitar dildo is based on “the sleek, dangerous curves of a scimitar blade,” a type of curved and convex sword. This dildo has a bulging middle section and curvy head, with a series of ridges along its back. The tip tapers to a semi-realistic penis head. Like many Mr Hankey’s toys, it has a large and bottom-heavy base.

The Mr Hankey’s Toys Scimitar is available in four sizes, ranging from Small (6.25″ insertable length and 2.14″ in diameter at the widest point) up to XXL (10,5″ insertable length and 3.66″ in diameter at the widest point.) As I’ve said before, Mr Hankey’s “small” sizes might be called large in any other context!

The Scimitar is made of body-safe silicone. It comes in possible four levels of firmness ranging from 40% soft (super soft) up to “extra firm.” Like all Mr Hankey’s dildos, it is available in your choice of 25 colours with the option to add a metallic effect if you like. You can also choose to add a vac-u-lock hole to use your dildo with certain types of sex machines.

I received the Scimitar in size Large, which offers a hefty 9″ of insertable length and a diameter of 3.11″ at the widest point. I requested the toy in 75% soft silicone (the second softest option) and in purple.

What I Liked About the Mr Hankey’s Toys Scimitar Curvy Dildo

Mr Hankey's Toys Scimitar purple silicone curvy dildo with ridges down the back

The Mr Hankey’s Scimitar is ideally designed for three types of users:

  • Those who enjoy large insertables but want the gradual, comfortable insertion afforded by a tapered toy
  • Those who love curvy dildos
  • Those who enjoy some serious texture

The Scimitar is narrowest at the top. Mine measures 2.3″ in diameter at the rim of the head, meaning it gains an additional 0.8″ in diameter from the top to the bottom of the shaft. For many users, including me, toys that taper from a large base to a narrow top can be more comfortable to use. This allows you to get used to the toy’s size at each stage before deciding if you want to go further.

Because the curve is concentrated in the top few inches, you can get plenty of G-spot or prostate stimulation by just using the head of the toy if the entire thing is too much for you. The flexibility of the softer silicone I chose helps with comfortable use and positioning. I also love the little bulge in the underside of the head, which targets my G-spot perfectly.

As well as its curvy head, the Scimitar dildo also has a bulge in the middle of the shaft. This, along with the ridges along the dildo’s shaft, stimulates the sensitive vaginal or anal opening as you move the toy in and out. Around the rest of the shaft, the texturing is deep yet smooth. It has long, flowing lines that remind me of the contours of muscles.

If you want to feel the curvy shape, texture, and ridges of this dildo more intensely, choose a firmer silicone. I prefer light to medium texturing, so I found the softer silicone made this toy more usable and comfortable.

Due to the large base that Mr Hankey’s uses on this and many of its toys, the Scimitar stands up on its own. This means that, if you wish, you can place it on a firm surface and ride it hands-free. Its weight gives it pretty good stability. If this is your main reason for choosing this toy, a firmer silicone will make it easier.

Things to Be Aware Of

As I’ve mentioned before, Mr Hankey’s tends to use pretty matte silicone for its toys. This means lots of lube is absolutely essential, especially given the size of these toys.

They’re also very heavy, especially in the larger sizes. I can’t really use most Mr Hankey’s toys by myself for more than a few minutes due to their weight. Having a partner use your toy on you, riding it hands-free, or pairing it with a sex machine are some of the possible ways you can overcome this if it’s an issue for you too.

Mr Hankey’s Scimitar Curvy Dildo: Verdict

Yes! This is an excellent toy. I love the curvy shape, tapered head, texturing, and soft silicone of the Mr Hankey’s Scimitar dildo. This toy is surprisingly easy to use, considering its size, with thoughtful design details that really elevate the experience. Another fantastic offering from Mr Hankey’s Toys.

The Scimitar curvy dildo retails for $159.90 for the small size in 75% soft or medium firmness. Larger sizes, different firmness levels, and various other customisations increase the final price.

Thanks to Mr Hankey’s Toys for sending me the Scimitar dildo to review and for sponsoring this post. All writing and views are, as always, mine.

8 of the Best Travel-Friendly Vibrators to Pack for Your Next Vacation

Who doesn’t love getting away from it all for a much-needed vacation? If you’re travelling with a partner, you might be one of the many couples that enjoys more and better sex when you’re away from home. Vacations take you away from the stresses of daily life, give you more free time, and help you to get into a more relaxed frame of mind, while allowing you to connect with your partner over a shared adventure—all key ingredients for great sex. Whether you’re travelling alone or with a lover, these travel-friendly vibrators available at ShopErotic will add a little extra sizzle to your next trip.

Travelling with sex toys is easy as long as you’re sensible (don’t try to take that giant stainless steel dildo through airport security!) Pack them in your checked or carry-on bag, engage the travel lock if your toy has one, and make sure it’s clean in case your bag gets checked. And remember: yours isn’t even the first vibrator airline staff have seen today. Unless it looks like a weapon, they don’t care.

I’ve partnered with ShopErotic adult store to bring you a rundown of 8 travel-friendly vibrators you should know about.

We-Vibe Tango X: The Ultimate Bullet

The original We-Vibe Tango wowed power lovers everywhere, and the rereleased and improved Tango X upped the ante even more. This petite powerhouse is one of the strongest and rumbliest bullet vibrators on the market, and its small size makes it ideal for throwing in your travel bag.

Before we decided it made more sense to keep a set of toys at each of our houses, this was one of the vibrators I’d often pack to visit my long distance girlfriend.

VeDO Vivi Finger Vibrator

Finger vibrators are a great choice for travel due to their small size and discreet design. VeDO is known for quality toys with great motors at relatively affordable price points, and the Vivi finger vibrator is its most petite product. I particularly like the finger-rest design, making it comfortable to hold whether you’re using it on yourself or someone else.

ShopErotic stocks this toy in three different colourways.

RRP: $39.99

Womanizer Vibe: Near-Silent Vibrator for When You Need Discretion on Your Travels

If you’re visiting family, staying in shared accommodation, or otherwise need to be discreet, the Womanizer Vibe has got you covered. This deeply rumbly clitoral vibrator, with its ergonomic handle and hooked tip, is about as close to silent as it’s possible for a vibrator to get.

I was cynical when I saw Womanizer was expanding its range to include a vibrator alongside its signature clitoral suction toys, but the Womanizer Vibe absolutely converted me.

Vibratex Magic Wand Micro: The Cadillac of Vibrators, Now in Travel-Friendly Miniature

I don’t know who originally referred to the Magic Wand Original (formerly Hitachi Magic Wand) as “the Cadillac of vibrators,” but this is a toy with a reputation that precedes it thanks to the work of the inimitable Betty Dodson. The Magic Wand Micro is a super-mini and travel-friendly rechargeable version that packs a surprising amount of power into a small package.

[Toy Review] Funzze Ride-On Grind & Humping Vibrator

Grinding toys have taken off in a big way in the last few years, and anyone who has been reading my work for a while will know about my enduring grinder obsession. Funzze recently sent me some of their toys to try, including this ride-on silicone vibrating grinder.

Funzze Ride-On Grind & Humping Vibrator: A Vibrating Grinder with Three Motors

The Funzze Ride-On Grind & Humping Vibrator is a vibrating grinder with an insertable dildo and three separate motors. Made of body-safe pink silicone, this grinder toy measures 9.06″ in total length. The dildo portion measures 4.3″ in insertable length and 1.26″ in diameter at the widest point.

Funzze silicone ride on vibrating grinder toy

It has two raised pads: the front one (for clitoral stimulation) has a height of 1.65″, and the back one (for anal/perineal stimulation) has a height of 1.15″. The dildo leans very slightly to the front to help it to target the G-spot in use.

The Funzze Vibrating Grinder is rechargeable, with a two hour charge giving around an hour of runtime. The packaging and site says it is waterproof (submersible), but the instruction manual says not to leave it in water for a long time. So that’s a little confusing. This toy comes with a wireless remote control and a storage bag.

Funzze Vibrating Grinder: What I Liked

I like the design of the Funzze Ride-On Grind & Humping Vibrator a lot. Its flat, flexible base means you can easily place it on any flat surface, and the bottom-heavy design helps it to stay in place. This plus the user’s body weight means it doesn’t slide around or move out of position during use.

Pro tip: if you want to use this toy in an upright kneeling position, pad your knees with cushions to stay comfortable. If this isn’t accessible or doesn’t feel good to you, you can also put the toy on a chair and straddle it, put it underneath you and lie on top of it, or use pillows or positioning wedges to create a configuration that works for your body.

Funzze vibrating grinder viewed from above

I appreciate that the Funzze Vibrating Grinder’s dildo isn’t particularly big. Many dual stimulation toys are designed such that getting any kind of clitoral contact requires uncomfortably deep penetration. However, the relatively short and slimline design of this vibrating grinder’s dildo means it will be comfortable for users who don’t enjoy large insertables (or don’t want to work up to them every time they use the toy.)

Positioning is pretty easy and comfortable, and I can actually get a good amount of clitoral stimulation with this toy. The silicone is super soft and smooth. The firm yet slightly squishy surface of the external humps gives an amazing “bouncy” feel as you grind against it. This is a great design for people who prefer lots of clitoral pressure. As I mentioned, the slight forward tilt also makes it easier to find and stimulate the G-spot with the dildo portion of the toy.

Most of the shaft has a firm core, while the top inch or so is soft and squishy. This feels like a good balance for this toy. Too flexible and it’d be hard to ride, too firm and it could be uncomfortable. As it is, there’s enough firmness for easy use and enough squish for comfort.

Funzze vibrating silicone grinder sex toy

The three motors have a pretty decent level of power. The vibrations feel more intense through the insertable dildo than either of the external stimulators, but I suspect this is just because the silicone is thinner so they’re less dampened.

The toy has 3 constant speeds and 10 patterns, and the remote control is a nice addition. The grinder’s single-button interface is situated on the front of the clitoral stimulator. This makes it possible to operate the toy this way while you’re using it, but the remote control is far easier. It also makes it easy to hand over control to your partner, or to keep your hands free to do other things.

Of course, you can also use this toy without the vibrations if you enjoy the grinding/penetration combo on its own.

Anything I Didn’t Like?

Though I’m quite impressed with the motors’ power, this vibrating grinder is a little more buzzy than I would prefer. I also would have liked the motors to be independently controllable so I could switch off the internal vibrations while leaving the clitoral stimulator on. Dual-directional speed and pattern controls would also be good.

The Funzze Grinder gets significantly louder when it’s flat on a hard surface vs. when you hold it in your hand. If noise level is important to you, use a soft surface like a bed or chair. You can also cushion it with a blanket or towel to deaden the noise.

The third motor, designed for anal or perineal stimulation, didn’t really do anything for me. It’s fine, but I wouldn’t miss it if it wasn’t there. Then again, I’m not that into anal play for its own sake. It tends to work best for me as part of a kink scene or power dynamic. If you enjoy external anal stimulation, you might appreciate this feature more than I did!

Verdict

Funzze’s silicone ride-on vibrating grinder was a pleasant surprise; dual-stimulation toys are so often a miss for me. But this one is thoughtfully designed and enjoyable. Not perfect, but pretty damn good and a relatively affordable alternative to many more expensive products.

If you enjoy combined penetration with clitoral and external anal/perineal stimulation, this toy offers all three. And if you find that dual stimulation toys are often too large for you, or require weird positioning or uncomfortably deep insertion to stimulate your clit, you might get along better with this one. I certainly did.

[Toy Review] Mr Hankey’s Dildos & Dragons

I sometimes feel like I am the only polyamorous person on the planet who doesn’t play Dungeons & Dragons. (I’m also ambivalent towards most board games. I know, I know, just revoke my polyamory card now!) Even so, given the reputation my community has for being utter nerds, how could I resist a DnD-themed fantasy sex toy? Mr Hankey’s Toys kindly sent me their Dildos & Dragons dildo to try out.

Dungeons & Dragons: A DnD-Themed Adult Toy

Dice courtesy of Mr C&K

The Dildos & Dragons dildo by Mr Hankey’s is a fantasy sex toy made, like all Mr Hankey’s toys, from 100% quality and body-safe silicone. It features a large base and a gently curved shaft, with a pronounced head and some superbly intricate dragon scale detailing.

This dildo comes in four sizes, ranging from Small/Med (10.25″ in overall length, 2.38″ in diameter at the widest point) up to XXXL (15.6″ in overall length, 3.74″ in diameter at the widest point.) The Dildos & Dragons dildo is available in a choice of 24 colours, with the option to add a metallic effect. You can also choose from four firmness levels and add a vac-u-lock hole (for use with some fucking machines) if you wish. One reviewer noted in their post that this toy worked well with their mini sex machine.

Close up of scales on Mr Hankey's dragon adult toy

I requested the small/med size, medium-firm, in metallic blood red. It is, as I’ve come to expect from Mr Hankey’s toys, far from anything I would personally define as “small.”

Personally, I wish I’d opted for a brighter colour. The dark reddish-brown is striking, and felt thematically appropriate for this toy, but on reflection it isn’t really my style. Fortunately, you can get your dildo in any colour you want so you can customise it in whatever way feels right for you. Hot pink dragon? Bright orange dragon? Sure, why not?

Whatever colour you go for, I recommend adding the metallic effect. It gives the toy a gorgeous shimmer under the light. It adds nothing but aesthetic value, but aesthetics matter when it comes to fantasy sex toy choices.

Dildos & Dragons Fantasy Sex Toy: What I Liked

Mr Hankey's Dildos & Dragons fantasy sex toy

Every Mr Hankey’s fantasy dildo I’ve tried so far has blown me away with its sheer level of and attention to detail. The Dildos & Dragons is no exception. This dragon-themed dildo is simply gorgeous. From the feathering detail towards the base to the ridges up the side and the small scales decorating the head, every inch of this toy has been thoughtfully and intricately crafted.

If you want an immersive fantasy experience with your toys, Mr Hankey’s is consistently hard to beat.

The other thing that really drew me to the Dildos & Dragons dildo was its shape. The curve makes it ideal for targeting the G-spot (or prostate, if you prefer.) And, since the curve is primarily located towards the top of the shaft, you don’t need to insert the entire toy to enjoy it. Want to play with just the first few inches? Chances are, you’ll still be able to hit the good spots with this toy.

The head on this toy is pretty pronounced. If you enjoy the feeling of having the sensitive opening of your vagina or anus stimulated, you’ll likely enjoy the “pop” sensation this head gives you when you thrust the Dildos & Dragons dildo in and out. It also provides additional pressure against the G-spot or prostate, which many people find very pleasurable.

Finally, let’s talk about that texturing. It’s intense, but not overly so. Much of the detailing is fairly “flat” (i.e. there aren’t large bumps or ridges sticking out,) making it definitely noticeable in use without being so much that it becomes uncomfortable. The texturing is most noticeable around that aforementioned head ridge.

Dildos & Dragons Fantasy Sex Toy: Things to Be Aware Of

I can’t really find anything to “dislike” about this toy. Even though mythical creatures aren’t my kink, I can appreciate the Dildos & Dragons dildo as both a beautifully made piece of art and a fantastically designed sex toy from a sensation perspective.

Just a couple of things to be aware of to help you make the right fantasy sex toy buying decision for you:

  • There really is no “small” here. This toy’s size options range from “pretty large” to “holy fucking shit, nope.” Take note of the dimensions before you buy, because if you’re used to more standard dildos (or, like, regular human penises) you might be surprised at how eye-wateringly huge these things are. With that said, as I mentioned above, the Dildos & Dragons design lends itself to just using the first few inches if you prefer. And, despite its overall large size, the Dildos & Dragons dildo has a relatively small head diameter compared to many other Mr Hankey’s toys.
  • Your firmness choice can really make or break your experience. I went with “medium firm,” which seems about right for this toy. I think “extra firm” might make the texturing too intense, while one of the softer levels might not give enough internal pressure. Obviously it’s all down to your preferences. In general, though, firmer silicone = a more intense experience.
  • The silicone is pretty matte. You’ll definitely need a lot of lubrication with this one. It also picks up a lot of lint and dust in storage, so always give it a quick wash before use.

Verdict: The Perfect Toy for Adult Dungeons & Dragons Fans

If you are (or your partner is) a DnD nerd, or if you’ve ever fantasised about fucking a mythical creature, you’ll probably love the Dildos & Dragons dildo. This is a beautifully crafted and well-designed fantasy sex toy that offers aesthetic appeal and functionality in equal measure.

The Dildos & Dragons dildo retails for prices starting from $130.95 for the smallest size in any standard colour. Larger sizes and various customisations increase the price.

[Toy Review] Funzze Pink O Clitoral Sucker

These days, I go into every clit sucker review I write preparing to be surprised. For every high-end toy in this category I’ve loved, there’s also at least one disappointing flop and at least one cheap clit sucker that gets the job done surprisingly well. The Funzze Pink O? That turned out to be one of the latter.

Funzze Pink O: Details

The Funzze Pink O clit sucker is the latest toy Funzze have kindly sent me to review. I wasn’t fully prepared for how small this toy would be! It arrived in a tiny box, and the toy measures just over 3.5″ in total length and weighs just 73g. As I said: tiny! This makes it a travel-friendly option I can throw in my bag when I visit my long-distance love.

Funzze clit sucker product image for review

Like the many other toys in this category, the Funzze Pink O has a nozzle that sits over the clitoris and stimulates it indirectly via air pulses. Some retailers still insist on claiming that this sensation feels like receiving cunnilingus. It doesn’t. Let’s put that myth to bed. I’m pleased to see Funzze hasn’t leaned too deeply into this misconception.

The Pink O Clitoral Sucker is made of pink body-safe silicone and white ABS plastic. It is rechargeable (you get about an hour of runtime for an hour charge) with a USB cable included. Confusingly, the Funzze website describes this toy as suitable for “pleasure in the shower, bathtub, or pool,” but then says it is only splashproof. The included instruction booklet also cautions against keeping it in water for long. I recommend assuming it’s only splashproof rather than fully waterproof, and not using it in the bath or submerging it in water.

The Pink O clit sucker is a cheap option for those on a budget, retailing for just $33.99. This also makes it a good entry-level option if you’re trying clitoral suckers for the first time… though, as we’ll see, this little beauty is so good you may not feel the need to upgrade to a pricier model!

Funzze Pink O Clit Sucker Review: What I Liked

The shape and size of this toy endeared me to it straight away. It fits comfortably in my hand, it’s light enough to hold for an extended session, and the slight curve makes it easy to angle it against my vulva without needing to curl my hand or arm into uncomfortable positions. The relatively large nozzle diameter compared to other toys in this category (around 0.5″) and wide, flat nozzle rim provides a consistent and comfortable seal around my clit.

Top-down, side-on view of Funzze Pink O Clitoral Sucker

The Funzze Pink O has 8 settings: 2 constant speeds and 6 patterns. Its single button interface is straightforward, and the relatively large silicone button set into the ABS plastic body makes it easy to locate by touch alone.

Also, the button is shaped like a little heart. So that’s cute!

Funzze Pink O, a cheap clit sucker toy made of white plastic and pink silicone

Now the most important question for any clit sucker review, did it get me off? The answer for this one is a resounding yes. On its second constant speed, this toy can make me come reliably. That’s pretty rare for a toy at this price-point!

In terms of sensation, the suction is pretty smooth. It’s harder to quantify clitoral suction toys as “buzzy” or “rumbly” the way I normally would with vibrators, but I can best describe the quality of this toy’s suction as “deep.” It feels like it’s really getting into the nerve-endings of both my internal and external clit, not just tickling the surface. It also doesn’t have any unpleasant numbing or desensitising effects.

Funzze Pink O Clit Sucker Review: What I Didn’t Like

I would have preferred more constant suction speeds and fewer patterns, personally. Anecdotally, as someone who’s been in this industry for a long time and spoken to hundreds of people about their sex toy preferences, almost no-one actually likes patterns. I certainly don’t. However, more constant speeds would allow for a more gradual warm-up to the higher intensities.

I also would have preferred dual-directional controls. The simple interface is nice, but having to scroll through all those patterns to switch from the higher constant speed to the lower is pretty annoying.

I wouldn’t really describe the Funzze Pink O as quiet. It also doesn’t get quieter when it’s against my body, unlike some clitoral suction toys. Something to be aware of if discretion is important to you.

Verdict: A Cheap Yet Effective Clit Sucker That Gets the Job Done

The Funzze Pink O clitoral sucker is a surprising gem and an absolute bargain. Its thoughtful ergonomic body, excellent nozzle design, and good power level elevate this one beyond its budget-friendly price point. If you’re looking for an entry-level clitoral suction toy, you could do much worse than this one. The next iteration just needs a few more constant speeds and fewer patterns!

[Toy Review] VVD RiderGo

Remember the VVD Rider Desire, a ride-on saddle-style sex machine I reviewed last summer? Well, VVD has recently released a new attachment toy to go with the Rider Desire and kindly sent me one to test and review. However, the RiderGo is no ordinary sex machine attachment. Its clever two-part magnetic design makes it both an attachment and a standalone hand-held sex toy.

What is the VVD RiderGo Rider Desire Add-On and How Does This Toy Work?

VVD RiderGo, a two part detachable rabbit vibrator made of pink silicone

The RiderGo looks, at first glance, like a straightforward rabbit vibrator. However, it’s actually a clever two-in-one product that functions both as a hand-held standalone rabbit vibe and an extra attachment for VVD’s Rider Desire ride-on sex machine.

A strong magnetic mechanism connects the insertable machine attachment to a handle and clitoral stimulator that allow you to use it as a rabbit vibe. It’s also compatible with the original attachments that came with the Rider Desire, by the way. Simply swap them out to mix and match your experience.

The insertable section makes a back-and-forth oscillating “come hither” motion (hence this toy being dubbed a “finger vibrator”) as well as vibrating.

The VVD RiderGo offers around 4.5″ of insertable length and measures approximately 1.3″ in diameter. It is 8.1″ in total length and weighs in at 230g. Made of body-safe pink silicone, this toy is IPX7 waterproof (i.e. submersible) and USB rechargeable.

VVD RiderGo Rabbit Toy and Sex Machine Attachment: Pros

I have to say, I think this design is pretty cool. I love the versatility offered by the combo of the Rider Desire and the RiderGo, since you can combine the two bases and three attachments in numerous different ways. The clitoral stimulator also still works when the insertable head is detached, and the two motors have independent controls so you can use one without the other if you prefer.

VVD detachable rabbit sex toy in two pieces

The G-spot stimulation provided by the come hither motion is truly excellent. It’s like being fingered, only faster (unless you have superhuman manual dexterity, anyway.) The short strokes are perfect for people who like intense and repetitive G-spot pressure but not a lot of hard “pounding.” While some reviewers have noted that they didn’t find the 15° curve intense enough, it was just about perfect for my body’s preferences.

I like the flexible clitoral stimulator, which overall maintains pretty good contact with my clit during use. This is helped by the fact that I don’t have to thrust the toy in and out, since the G-spot stimulator mimics that motion by itself. The little “tongue” flap that protrudes from the top of the clitoral stimulator is a little too light and tickly to be truly satisfying, but it does offer an interesting tease or warm-up.

While the relatively small and slimline size of this toy might make it “not enough” for some people who prefer larger insertables, it was pretty ideal for me. I like that I can dive straight into using it without the warmup needed to insert a larger toy.

I like the loop handle, which makes the toy easy and comfortable to hold, and the button placement is intuitive. The controls themselves are straightforward and the buttons are easy to press. There’s an on/off button, a button to control the insertable portion, and a button to control the clitoral stimulator.

VVD RiderGo sex toy buttons

Also, VVD’s slogan for this toy—”soft outside, wild within”—is a mood and I want it on a t-shirt.

Cons

As we’ve seen, there’s a lot to like about the VVD RiderGo. However, there are also a few downsides you’ll want to be aware of:

  • The battery life isn’t great, with a 1.5 hour charge giving just 45 minutes of runtime.
  • No dual-directional speed controls. This isn’t too egregious given there are only 6 stroking speeds and 7 vibration settings to choose from, but it’s still pretty annoying when you want to go back a step.
  • It makes the same high-pitched mechanical squeaking noise as virtually every other toy in this category. I can’t really fault VVD for this, since I don’t think any manufacturer has yet cracked this problem, but it definitely affects the user experience.
  • As is so often the problem with toys of this type, the vibrations are super buzzy and not particularly strong. Does it feel good? Yes, for a bit. Can it get me off before my clit gets numbed out? Sadly, not so far.

How Use the VVD RiderGo Detachable Toy With the Rider Desire Sex Saddle

Image showing insertion of VVD RiderGo into Rider Desire ride on toy

Using the RiderGo with your Rider Desire saddle is super easy. Simply detach the RiderGo head from its base with a gentle pull, and slot it into the attachment space on the Rider Desire using the slit in the plastic as a guide. You’ll feel the magnets click it into place. Once in, it’s very secure and shouldn’t go anywhere even if you ride it pretty vigorously. (That said, just to be on the safe side, I wouldn’t recommend using this one anally.)

Do I Need to Own the Rider Desire to Use the RiderGo?

VVD Rider Desire ride on vibrator with RiderGo toy attached

No. The RiderGo is fully functional on its own as a rabbit vibrator. Pairing it with the Rider Desire sex saddle isn’t necessary, but offers a few fun additional ways to use it. Let’s finish by looking at some of the possibilities…

Try This: Stimulate Your Clit While You Ride

Since the RiderGo clitoral stimulator still works when the insertable arm is detached, you (or your partner) can use it manually on your clit while you straddle the Rider Desire saddle.

Try This: Play a Sexy Guessing Game

Ask your partner to blindfold you and choose an attachment for the RiderGo or Rider Desire, then use it on you. Your job is to correctly identify which one they’ve chosen. What do you get if you win? Well, that’s for you two to negotiate.

RiderGo Rabbit Toy and Sex Machine Attachment: Verdict

Overall, the VVD RiderGo is a decent standalone toy as long as you don’t need intense or rumbly clitoral stimulation to get off. Its finger-like motion is excellent. However, it is the innovative interchangeable design and compatibility with the Rider Desire that really elevates this one for me. As a companion product to the existing machine, it’s excellent.

[Toy Review] Lovense Lush 4

One of my most controversial sex toy opinions ever? That the Lovense Lush (specifically the Lush 2) was utterly mediocre. Its vibrations were weak and its shape failed to stimulate my G-spot. However, past experience has taught me that a previous iteration of a toy being bad doesn’t necessarily mean the new version will be bad (the Queen Bee to Pulse Queen glow-up has entered the chat.) With that in mind, I went into this Lovense Lush 4 review with an open mind, hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

At the time of writing this review, the Lovense Lush 4 has 4.7 stars out of 5 on Lovense’s on-site review system and 4 out of 5 on Lovehoney. So the general consensus is that this thing is pretty good. Let’s find out if I agreed.

What is the Lovense Lush 4?

The Lovense Lush 4 is the latest iteration in Lovense’s “Lush” line of egg-shaped, insertable vibrators. It has just under 4″ of insertable length and a long tail, the end of which sits against the clitoris when the toy is inserted (allegedly. More on that in a minute.) Its diameter is 1.46″ at the widest point.

Lovense Lush 4: C-shaped pink vibrator with a wide head and slim tail

Made of hot pink silicone, the Lush 4 is designed to provide hands-free internal stimulation. Like previous versions of this product, it is app-controllable via Bluetooth. It is also IPX7 waterproof, i.e. submersible, and USB rechargeable. Strangely, the Lovense website claims that the Lush 4 comes with a storage pouch, but mine didn’t (nor did there seem to be space for one in the box.)

App-controlled products tend to be popular with people in long-distance relationships due to their ability to be controlled from anywhere in the world with an internet connection, facilitating long-distance and even inter-continental sex. However, Lovense products are unique in that they are designed with one particular group of users in mind: online sex workers such as cam models. Lovense toys, including the Lush 4, integrate with many online camming platforms and allows workers to hand over control to viewers or even set the toy to respond to tips from fans.

What’s New?

Fans of previous Lovense Lush products will probably be wondering what’s new about this version and whether it’s worth upgrading. Here’s what’s new with the Lovense Lush 4 compared to the 3 and earlier versions:

  • Improved Bluetooth connectivity.
  • A refined neck design, intended to be more comfortable and stay in place more effectively.
  • Rapid charging, with 5 minutes charging giving you an hour of use.
  • Extended battery life, with around 350 minutes (about 6 hours) of runtime for a 45 minute charge.
  • More powerful than the Lush 1 & 2, the 3 and 4 use the same 7000 RPM motor.
  • The quietest Lush yet, with maximum volume of 36dB (compared to 45.5dB and 38dB for previous models.)
  • A slightly redesigned and wider end to the external arm, possibly designed to stimulate more of the clit.
  • A decorative electroplated panel on the back of the external piece. This has optional and customizable LED lights that change depending on which mode you’re using. Unnecessary, but pretty.

Lovense Lush 4 Review: Pros

Lovense Lush 4 with tail light glowing in light purple

Outside of its specific applications designed for camming, the biggest selling point of the Lush 4 is the Lovense app and the extra functionalities it offers. The app connectivity is fast and reliable, and offers an array of features such as:

  • Setting the vibration level more precisely
  • Handing over control to a partner
  • Syncing the toy to music
  • Syncing with content such as videos
  • Syncing your toy with a partner’s toy so you both feel the same vibrations
  • Text, voice, or video chat with a partner
  • Play group games with other users online

However, despite these fun features, I’m struggling to recommend the Lush 4 on the basis of its app for reasons we’ll discuss in a minute.

Compared to the Lush 2, the Lush 4’s motor is excellent. It’s both stronger and rumblier. It might not be the toy’s intended purpose, but pressing it against my clit can get me off relatively easily. And while we’re on that subject, the slight bulge on the underside of the bulb is dreamy for clitoral stimulation.

Downsides, Issues, and Things to Be Aware Of

First, and this is a huge issue, Lovense has come under fire for some pretty major security breaches in the last year. Experts claim they exposed users’ email addresses in the supposedly-anonymous app. Though the company claims to have patched this issue, this is the tip of a very large privacy iceberg when it comes to app-controlled sex toys in general. I am far from a cybersecurity expert, but I strongly advise caution with sex toy apps. If you’re going to use them, you can reduce your risk with simple steps like using a throwaway email address not connected to your real identity.

Woman's hand holding the Lovense Lush 4 to show its flexible tail

If you decide to proceed using the app, its functionality is a double-edged sword. The options it offers are numerous and varied, turning this into an incredibly versatile toy and opening up various options for online and long-distance play. However, for a toy that retails for £219 at full price, the manual mode options are poor. It has a one-button interface located on the tail, with which you can scroll through three speeds and four patterns. And… that’s it.

An app-controlled toy is never going to be as fully featured in manual mode. But at the very least I’d have liked a few more speed options and dual-directional controls.

Used in its intended form, the Lush 4 offers almost nothing in the way of clitoral stimulation. When I have the toy inserted, the external portion curves away from my vulva and the tail tip ends somewhere around my pubic bone. It certainly gets nowhere near my clit unless I either push the toy in uncomfortably deep (ouch) or smush it against my vulva with my hard (awkward and annoying.) The tail is also pretty floppy, meaning it doesn’t stay in place very well. When I insert it and don’t hold it in place, it sort of flops sideways.

With vibrations transmitting down the tail, I can kinda-sorta feel something through it if I hold it against my clit. However, due to the lack of an actual motor in this part of the toy, the vibrations are pretty weak. I (like the vast majority of vulva-havers, by the way) need clitoral stimulation to get off. This means I’m pretty much never going to use this toy in its intended manner. Of course, you can always pair the Lush 4 with a clitoral vibrator if you enjoy dual stimulation.

The positioning of the button, on the underside of the tail end, also means you have to interrupt what little clit stim it does provide if you want to change the setting manually.

Lovense Lush 4 Review: Verdict

Is it worth upgrading to the Lush 4? If you’ve currently got the Lush 3, I’d say probably not unless the new features like rapid charging and pretty LED lights matter a lot to you. The basic functionality is very similar. If you’ve got a Lush 1 or 2, though, then the Lush 4 is a marked upgrade.

Ultimately, as someone who doesn’t like internal vibrations and is “meh” about most sexual stimulation that doesn’t make my clit the main event, the Lush 4 is never going to be a go-to toy for me. With that said, if you do enjoy internal vibrations and don’t need a lot of clit stimulation to have fun, and if you’re happy to either use an app or put up with limited manual functionality, the Lush 4 might be a great match for you.

[Toy Review] We-Vibe Chorus Pro

When I learned that a new version of the We-Vibe Chorus was dropping, this time named the We-Vibe Chorus Pro, my first thought was “already!?” Surely it hasn’t been that long since the first iteration of the Chorus hit the market. However, apparently it’s been well over five years! Time is fake. That can mean only one thing: it’s time for a review of the newly released We-Vibe Chorus Pro.

What is the We-Vibe Chorus Pro?

The Pro is a new, updated version of the original We-Vibe Chorus. It’s the same basic design, and follows the theme of We-Vibe’s classic C-shaped “wear during intercourse” vibrators.

We-Vibe Chorus Pro & remote in purple

It’s designed to offer additional clitoral stimulation to the wearer during penetrative sex, while also stimulating the inside of their vagina and (if applicable) their partner’s penis with vibrations. It comes with a “Haptic Squeeze Remote” (more on that below) and can also be controlled via the We-Vibe app.

The Chorus Pro is made of body-safe silicone and available in 3 colourways: Cosmic Purple, Satin Black, and Electric Pink. Its internal arm measures ???

The Chorus Pro is rechargeable, with a 2 hour charge giving around 90 minutes of running time. Its sturdy black plastic storage case is also a USB charging case. It is also IPX7 waterproof, i.e. submersible. It’s unclear whether the remote is waterproof, though; the Chorus Original’s remote was only splashproof so the same may be true here.

Chorus vs Chorus Pro: What’s New?

The We-Vibe Chorus Pro offers many of the same features as the previous iteration of this product, including the adjustable hinged design, squeezable remote, app control options, and touch sensors on the main body of the toy. However, it also offers a number of upgrades. Most notably:

Three Motors and Fusion Wave Stimulation

While the original Chorus had two motors, the Chorus Pro has three. There are two motors in the external clitoral stimulator, and one in the insertable arm. This enables something We-Vibe calls “Fusion Wave Technology”, which sounds like something out of Star Trek but actually seems to just mean that the two clitoral motor synchronise to offer rhythmic, rolling and flowing “wave-like” vibrations.

“Haptic Squeeze” Remote

Close up of We-Vibe Chorus Pro remote in my hand, demonstrating for review

Though the original Chorus had a squeeze-sensitive remote, the Chorus Pro has had a significant upgrade in this regard. The word “haptic” just means something relating to the sense of touch. The new Chorus remote is designed to adjust vibration strength with the intensity of the squeeze, with the remote vibrating at the same strength as the toy to provide immediate feedback to the person holding it.

Is this a good thing? Debatable. We’ll get into this in more detail shortly.

We-Vibe Chorus Pro Review: Pros

Something I appreciate about We-Vibe is that, unlike some toy manufacturers, they don’t constantly churn out new products at an alarmingly fast rate. Instead, they seem to take their time and put real thought into their designs. As a result, the We-Vibe Chorus Pro has a lot to recommend it.

Let’s get into what I like about this product.

  • It’s so pretty! The material sort of shimmers.
  • The hinged design allows you to adjust the fit according to your body.
  • The charging case is convenient for both travel and storage. For an ADHDer like me, it also makes me less likely to lose either the toy or the remote.
  • With 7 classic We-Vibe patterns and 3 new “Fusion Wave” patterns built in, as well as constant vibrations and the ability to change the intensity level of any pattern using the remote, the user experience is pretty versatile even before you get the app involved.
  • The remote is highly responsive, both in squeeze mode and when just using the buttons.
  • The squishy design also makes the motor super comfortable to hold and use.
Underside of We-Vibe Chorus Pro with hinge open to show textured surface

  • I love the texturing on the underside of the external arm. It’s pretty subtle but it adds a little extra stimulation. I can’t personally feel the texturing on the internal arm when I’m wearing it, but other users’ experience may differ.
  • The addition of a third motor really does make a difference in use. While I think calling it “Fusion Wave” is a stretch, the synchronised external motors deliver more intense clitoral and all-over vulva stimulation than a single motor can manage on its own.
  • The motors! We-Vibe always uses excellent strong and rumbly motors in its toys, and this one is no exception.

Cons

There are also a few things about the We-Vibe Chorus Pro I found frustrating. Namely:

  • While the original Chorus had two adjustable hinges for a better fit, the Chorus Pro appears to only have one. It’s a shame to lose the extra adjustability the additional hinge offered.
  • There doesn’t seem to be a way to control the motors separately using the toy itself or the remote. If you want to do this, you’ll need the app. As someone who doesn’t like internal vibrations, this is a pretty big downside for me personally.
  • The insertable section isn’t long enough (or curved enough) to get anywhere near my G-spot. Instead of providing additional pleasure, it just sort of sits there as an anchor to hold the toy in place (sort of; see below.)
  • Overall, as in the original We-Vibe Chorus, I found the “Touch Sense” modes too unpredictable and unreliable to be pleasurable. It’s an interesting concept, but the reality is mostly just annoying.
  • I wish there were better controls on the toy itself. The single button interface is very limiting and basically means this toy is only worthwhile with either the remote or the app.
  • Like virtually all toys of this type, it doesn’t really stay in place without a helping hand unless you’re staying very still (and sometimes not even then.) If you’re moving or doing any kind of thrusting, you pretty much have to hold it in position with your hand to stop it slipping around all over the place.

Other Things to Be Aware Of

We-Vibe Chorus Pro inside its black plastic charging case

I have really mixed feelings about the haptic feedback of the squeeze remote. On the one hand, having the feedback could be useful if you’re using the toy on a partner and want to get a sense of the intensity of the stimulation for them. On the other hand, having your hand repeatedly vibrated is really annoying and uncomfortable. Ultimately, each user will need to decide if this bothers them (and, if it does, if they like the feature enough to put up with it.)

I also find that, the longer I do this job, the less I care about a toy’s app features. I can count on one hand the times I’ve used an app to control a toy outside of an “I’m testing this product so I can review it” session. I don’t really want to be on my phone when I’m trying to masturbate or have sex, I don’t use toys in public because they’re nowhere near as discreet as some people seem to think they are, and I’ve found ways to have long-distance sex that work better for me personally.

That said, We-Vibe’s app is one of the better options for app-controlled toys out there, and it offers a number of intriguing additional options including:

  • Handing control over to a partner anywhere in the world with an internet connection
  • Chatting and video-calling with a partner while they control the toy
  • As mentioned above, controlling the motors separately
  • Activating the three available “Touch Sense” modes
  • More finely controlling the intensity of the vibrations
  • Touch mode, in which you can control the toy with the swipe of a finger
  • Creating your own vibration patterns
  • Creating “playlists” of your favourite patterns

We-Vibe Chorus Pro Review: Verdict

Overall, I think the We-Vibe Chorus Pro is an excellent product. It improves on the original in a couple of fun ways, while maintaining We-Vibe’s reputation for good motors and thoughtful design. Despite a few frustrations, I’m still happy to recommend it.

The Chorus Pro retails for £189/$229 and is available from Lovehoney UK, Lovehoney US, Shevibe, Good Vibes, Babeland, or directly from We-Vibe Europe and North America.

[Toy Review] UEROS Remote Control Wearable Vibrator with Detachable Egg Set

Following my UEROS sex machine review a while back, I received another UEROS product to try. This time, we’re looking at the wearable vibe set, or the “UEROS Remote Control Wearable Vibrator with Detachable Egg Set,” to give it its full name.

What is the UEROS Wearable Vibe Set?

At first glance, the UEROS wearable vibrator set is an interesting concept. It contains four main pieces:

  • A thin, vaguely saddle-shaped vibrator that sits against the pubis with a protruding clitoral stimulator
  • A detachable egg vibrator that fits inside the vagina
  • A harness/crotchless panty thing with straps to hold the vibrator against the body
  • A remote control

The main intended use for the UEROS vibe set is for it to be wearable during (penetrative) partnered sex. In case you’re struggling to visualise how it’s intended to work, here’s a handy diagram provided by UEROS:

UEROS wearable vibe set official product photo showing a woman wearing the toy over a set of black lingerie

The vibrator and egg are made of body-safe silicone (with plastic accents on the former.) The harness is made of polyester and spandex.

This USB rechargeable toy offers 1 hour of runtime for a 2 hour charge. It is also IPX6 waterproof, i.e. splashproof but not submersible.

UEROS Wearable Vibe Set: The Good

Let’s start with the positive things I can say about this product.

UEROS wearable vibe attached to included panties

First, I do think the concept is neat. It’s kind of a combination of insertable wearable vibrators (such as the various iterations of We-Vibe’s classic shape) and those “vibrating knickers” that are still inexplicably a thing even though they almost universally suck.

The slim design is thoughtful and means the toy is less obtrusive and “in the way” if you’re using it during partnered sex. Design-wise, I also like the long tail on the egg. This sidesteps the issue of dual-stimulation toys often being designed for one specific type of genitals, making it more likely to fit comfortably with a range of bodies.

The detachable design of the egg vibrator makes this a more versatile product. You could also use the egg on its own as a non-vibrating, leave-in toy, if you like.

The six straps on the harness/panties hold the vibrator in place very well. Unlikely many “wear during intercourse” toys, it stays securely in position. A rare instance of a supposedly hands-free toy that’s actually suitable for hands-free use.

I like that, when you’re using the external vibrator and the egg together, you can control them completely separately. There’s one button for each part on both the main toy and the remote control. Each has five settings: three constant speeds and two patterns.

UEROS wearable vibrator with egg part attached

The silicone is soft and silky. Aesthetically, it’s also kind of fun. The metallic accents give the whole thing a vaguely sci-fi/techno feel.

UEROS Wearable Vibe Set: The Bad

Buckle in, because once I started actually trying this product, things went sideways fast.

The placement of the buttons on the top side of the toy seems fine initially, but quickly reveals a significant problem. If you’re having penetrative sex in a face-to-face position such as missionary, the chances of the toy getting smushed between bodies and accidentally turned off are very high.

I also want to know why the clitoral stimulator is squishy. This makes the already-poor vibration transmission even worse and makes it hard to get any significant, consistent pressure.

Underside of UEROS wearable vibrator showing squishy clitoral stimulator

My biggest complaint about this toy, though? The sizing of the included harness/panty, without which the main function of the toy is unusable. UEROS claims this item is size inclusive, which is laughably untrue. It is adjustable, but only accommodates waist sizes of ~28″ to ~38″. Apparently it was “rigorously tested on diverse body types”, which means on women (presumably cis) between 5’3″ and 5’8″ and between 60 and 70kg. That’s not a diverse range of body types. That’s a difference of maybe two or three dress sizes, if that.

Crotchless panties/harness that comes with UEROS wearable vibrator set

If you’re going to design a toy that’s exclusively for thin people… well, first of all, don’t. But if you must, at least be honest about it. Claiming a demonstrably exclusionary product is size-inclusive doesn’t make it so.

Finally, the UEROS wearable vibe’s vibrations are nothing short of useless. They’re as weak and buzzy as they come. There is zero possibility of this toy ever giving me an orgasm, in any configuration. And believe me, I’ve tried.

Verdict

This is a product that is significantly better in theory than in practice. I don’t know if corners were cut to bring it to market faster or if it just wasn’t tested sufficiently, but there’s so much wrong with the execution of what is objectively a good idea.

The UEROS wearable vibe set could have been a great product. Unfortunately, in its current state, it just isn’t.

This set retails for $99.

[Toy Review] Womanizer Enhance

Something that bugs me more than it probably should? When people refer to toys that don’t vibrate as “vibrators.” This term is often erroneously applied to clitoral suction toys, which stimulate the clitoris via air pulses instead of traditional vibrations. However, what if a clitoral suction toy was also a vibrator? That’s the basic premise of the Womanizer Enhance, which I recently received to review.

Womanizer Enhance: Details

Womanizer Enhance clitoral suction toy

The concept of combining clitoral suction with vibrations has been done before. One of the earliest iterations was the surprisingly-good-in-its-day (and now defunct) Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibration. However—spoiler alert for the rest of this review!—I think the Womanizer Enhance is probably the best iteration of this concept I’ve seen so far.

The Womanizer Enhance is a clitoral suction toy in the classic tapering Womanizer shape similar to products such as the Classic, Premium, and Next. However, this one has two important differences:

  • There’s no removable nozzle; it’s all one unit
  • The toy offers not only suction-based stimulation, but vibrations as well

The Womanizer Enhance is available in three colours: black, pink, and lilac (my personal favourite.) It is made of body-safe silicone with a plastic base. It’s USB rechargeable, taking around 90 minutes to charge and offering up to 2 hours of runtime depending on intensity. The Enhance is also IPX7 waterproof, allowing for full submersion.

Womanizer Enhance Review: Greater Than the Sum of Its Parts

Womanizer claims that “100% of testers had an orgasm!” which, I admit, made me roll my eyes a bit. It’s not quite one of those “orgasm guaranteed!” claims that make me want to scream, but it’s at least skirting around the edges of being one.

However, I’ll give them this: the Womanizer Enhance really is an excellent product.

Womanizer Enhance clitoral suction toy in my hand

It offers 10 vibration speeds, 10 suction intensity levels, and 10 vibration patterns. This means that, all-in, there are over 1000 possible combinations to play with. Of course, if you’re anything like me, you’ll find one to maybe five settings you like and stick with those. But, given the versatility, there’s a decent chance of finding at least a few that hit the spot for you.

Suction-wise, the Womanizer Enhance is pretty similar to the many other clitoral suction toys in the Womanizer range. The 10 speeds are well graded, offering a noticeable but not too extreme jump between settings as you move up through them. The suction sensation is intense, yet also smooth and sensual.

In terms of vibrations, I was pleasantly surprised to find them far more rumbly than I was expecting. They’re not the strongest, even at the highest levels, but they’re still pretty good. Overall, though, the beauty of this toy is that it’s greater than the sum of its parts. The suction is good, the vibrations are fine, but together is where the magic really happens.

Compared to other suction-only toys I’ve reviewed, I felt as though the orgasm from the Womanizer Enhance encompassed my whole vulva rather than being concentrated in my clitoris.

Back review of Womanizer Enhance with buttons

Other Things I Liked Include:

  • The five button interface makes the toy easy and intuitive to use. There are two buttons to control the vibrations, two to control the suction, and one to change the pattern. Simple to learn, relatively easy to use by feel, and sensibly positioned on the back of the toy’s handle.
  • The ability to control the suction and vibrations completely separately means that no matter what combination of stimulation you’re in the mood for, you can fine-tune your experience accordingly.
  • It fits comfortably in my hand, with the tapered handle providing ergonomic comfort in use.

Any Downsides?

On my first try with the Womanizer Enhance, I found the positioning slightly awkward. Due to the nozzle being integrated with the main body of the toy, it doesn’t stick out as far from the body as the nozzles on other, similar products. This made it a little challenging to find a position that was both effective and comfortable to hold for a while.

The above positioning issue also makes it challenging to use a penetrative toy such as a dildo at the same time. Not impossible, but… logistically complex. Something to bear in mind if you prefer to use multiple toys together.

Another reason I don’t love the lack of a removable nozzle is that it makes both cleaning the toy and sharing it with a partner more of a faff.

The Womanizer Enhance can also be pretty loud at the higher levels, particularly if you have the suction and vibrations going at the same time.

Womanizer Enhance Review: Verdict

Whether the Enhance is the best Womanizer product yet will be a matter of opinion and personal preference. But for me at least, it’s definitely in the top five and possibly the top three. Yes, the vibrations really do enhance (see what I did there?) the experience that much.

I love this toy.

The Womanizer Enhance retails for around £149/$169 and is available from retailers including Lovehoney UK, Lovehoney US, Shevibe, Good Vibes, Babeland, and of course directly from Womanizer.
