[Lingerie Review] Lovehoney Late Night Liaison Body

When it comes to lingerie, there are a couple of things guaranteed to make me gravitate towards a piece: boob-friendly (non-wired) shapes, and unusual colours. The Lovehoney Late Night Liaison Body, a blue lace bodysuit, meets both criteria.

The Late Night Liaison Body from Lovehoney is from the same range as the Lovehoney babydoll I tried a couple years ago (though the black colourway is no longer available.) It’s a one-piece bodysuit style with a plunging neckline and strap detailing around the hips and between the breasts. It features criss-cross strap detailing at the back, and a crotchless G-string gusset.

The Late Night Liaison Body is made of a polyester/elastane blend lace. I don’t love synthetic fibers as they are unsustainable and don’t breathe like natural fibers do, but realistically the vast majority of lingerie is made from polyester or similar fabrics.

Late Night Liaison Blue Lace Bodysuit: Look & Feel

I absolutely adore the colour of the Late Night Liaison Body. In reality it’s an even more gorgeous, deep midnight blue than it appears on the picture. This is a relatively unusual colour for lingerie, and it’s nice to see something different amidst the endless sea of black, red, and occasional purple (this is an industry issue, not a Lovehoney issue).

The delicate floral pattern on the lace is beautiful, and I love the scalloped edges. The straps add some interesting detail, and I like the way they draw attention to my cleavage. The extra coverage is also useful for days when I’m not feeling so confident about my stomach.

Fit & Comfort

The Late Night Liaison blue lace bodysuit is a pull-on design. It’s pretty easy to get into and out of as a result, though the straps are a bit finnicky.

It comes in 2 sizes: One Size (UK 6-16) and Plus Size (UK 18-24). I’m typically wearing a size 12 at the moment and the One Size fits me reasonably well (apart from the eternal boob issue, which we’ll get into in a minute). Given that it was on the snug side of comfortable for me, I’d be really surprised if it fit someone a dress size or two bigger comfortably.

Other reviewers seem to agree, with one shopper noting in an on-site review that it doesn’t work well for taller frames. If you’re tall or above a size 14, I’d suggest sizing up.

For some reason, I had even more trouble with this piece from a boob-fit perspective than I’ve had with other bodysuits. Perhaps it’s the super-plungey neckline or the wider cut to the V-neck. Either way, it’s tricky to get it to contain my chest for more than three seconds without everything falling out! It barely contains my nipples and as soon as I lie down, bend over, or really move at all, it doesn’t stand a chance.

If you don’t care too much about falling out, have at it. If you want your chest to stay contained, though, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone larger than about a C cup.

The back straps are adjustable, which does help with the fit issues to a certain extent. They’re quite difficult to adjust once you’ve got the item on. Get someone to help you or adjust before you put it on if possible.

From a comfort perspective, I have no complaints. There are no nasty wires, and the lace is soft and enjoyable to wear.

Late Night Liaison Blue Lace Bodysuit: Verdict

A genuinely beautiful piece in a gorgeous colour that’s let down by some major fit issues. The problems might be because of the “one size” cut, which by definition has to be based on averages to a certain extent. As a rule, though, I’d rather see lingerie cost slightly more and be available in more sizes so that people can actually find a decent fit.

As is so often the problem, this is one for people with smaller chests than mine. I’ll likely pass this one along to a friend who will be able to enjoy it more than me.

I was really spoiled for choice with this year’s Lovehoney Valentine’s Day lingerie offerings; between the flirty red Tiger Lily range, the sophisticated blue Orchid range, and now the classic and sexy black Lotus range including this gorgeous embroidered chemise, there were so many beautiful things to pick from. I decided to branch out and try something I wouldn’t normally pick up – namely the Lotus Embroidered Black Chemise Set.

“Lotus” Take a Closer Look

This Lovehoney chemise set comes with two pieces: the chemise itself and a matching thong. The embroidered chemise features wired quarter cups, bra-style back clasp and straps, and removeable panels to cover your nipples. Its waistband and removeable panels are made of beautiful semi see-through lace with floral embroidery, and the skirt is made of a soft and swishy polyester/elastane blend. The matching thong features a sexy lace panel at the front and a 100% cotton gusset.

Black lingerie never goes out of style. Though this is part of the Valentine’s Day lingerie line, it’s really a timeless style that will look fabulous any night of the year. The floral lace adds a fun and femme touch, and the hint of skin between the bra cup and lace panel ups the sexiness.

I also really love the shape of this piece. I’m confident about my waist and less confident about my stomach, and this chemise emphasises the former while drawing attention away from the latter.

Lovehoney Chemise Set: Fit and Comfort

The Lovehoney Lotus Chemise Set comes in sizes from UK6 up to UK30. I received the Medium (UK10/12 equivalent). Unfortunately, every time I order an item of lingerie with underwires, I remember why I usually don’t. While the rest of the piece fits me well, hugging my waist and reaching just to the bottom of my butt, the cups are far, far too small.

I understand that lingerie like this can’t come in every possible permutation of body size + cup size. That’d make each item unreasonably expensive and probably result in a lot of unsold stock. Unfortunately, this reality means that designers have to make some assumptions regarding average cup sizes in relation to body size. And I’m aware that my size 12 frame/G cup boobs combo isn’t exactly typical. The result, though, is that the overwhelming majority of lingerie with wires just isn’t going to work for my body.

I can sort of get the Lotus Embroidered Black Chemise to work for me with some very careful adjustment to how the quarter cups and embroidered panels sit. But even then, things keep slipping out of place, meaning that either my boobs fall out or I get poked in the ribcage with a wire that’s really too small for my chest.

The Lovehoney Lotus Chemise is adjustable in a couple of places. The bra clasp features 3 settings, and you can make the straps longer or shorter to suit you. There’s a good amount of stretch to the thong’s waistband, too, so that should work for most bodies that fall within the size range.

Comfort-wise, I have no complaints beyond the sizing issues and the fact that I really don’t like wire. The mesh skirt is super soft and the lace is skin-friendly and non scratchy.

Lotus Embroidered Chemise: Verdict

Beautiful… as long as your boobs will fit in it! If you’re small to average chested, this is a gorgeous piece in a classic, sexy design. If you’re larger chested, though, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend it as you’re likely to encounter the same fit issues as I did.

I really wish this one worked for me, because I really do love the style. Unfortunately, I think I’ll be passing it on to a smaller-chested friend, and continuing to gravitate towards more boob-friendly styles such as some bodysuits and wireless pieces.

[Fetishwear Review] Lovehoney Fierce Wet Look Catsuit

I got my first catsuit not long after I started this blog, and it soon became a bit of a statement piece (alongside, of course, the signature ears). Wearing it to the Eroticon 2018 after-party and enjoying the looks and reactions it got was a particular highlight. So of course, when Lovehoney offered me the Wet Look Catsuit from their Fierce range, part of the Halloween “Come Alive at Night” collection, I simply had to say yes.

Feline Fierce: Wet Look Catsuit

The Lovehoney Fierce Wet Look Catsuit is made of a super-shiny, stretchy wet-look fabric that catches the light beautifully. It features a collar neck, fastening with bra-style clasps, and a cleavage-displaying cut out section at the front. It is adorned with mesh panels at the hips, which show a glimpse of skin.

The material is soft and comfortable to wear. Though the product page describes the fabric as “breathable”, it’s still skin-tight black fabric and does get very very hot after a while. Bear that in mind if you’re going to be in a very warm environment.

The Fierce Wet Look Catsuit fastens with a single, long zip that runs from the centre of the chest all the way to the top of the butt. It’s quick and easy to get into – just step into the legs, pull the arms on, and zip up. I found the collar a little difficult to fasten. If you do too, you might want to use a mirror or ask your partner for help.

With a zip pull at each end, you can choose how open or closed you want the front. You can also unzip the back for easier sex access without needing to take the whole thing off.

Skin-tight black clothing is typically associated with a dominatrix look. However, I’m much more inclined towards the subby end of the spectrum. Fortunately, clothing can be whatever you make it, and I feel like I can definitely use this piece to tap into aspects of my submissive self.

The playful kitten is one of the submissive archetypes I enjoying embodying. It’s something I’ve felt quite alienated from recently, after a pretty traumatic break-up with the partner who used to call me “Kitten”. But it’s a part of myself that I’m trying to get back in touch with. Slipping into the Lovehoney Fierce Wet Look Catsuit, I remembered why I love that role so much. I didn’t know that a catsuit could be one of the tools in the “get over a broken heart” toolkit, but here we are!

Fit

I requested a size M, and it fits my size 10/12 body well. If you’re between sizes, I’d recommend going a size down since the Fierce wet look garments are pretty generously stretchy and meant to fit snugly like a second skin.

Otherwise, the fit was good, and even contained my G-cup boobs without me falling out every time I moved! The only slight fit issue was that the legs were a little long for me. (I’m not that tall, and I have disproportionately short legs and a long torso for my height). Just something to be aware of if you’re on the shorter side.

Halloween is coming, which can mean only one thing: scary kinky parties! (Okay, it also means I can stock up my cat ear collection from the fancy dress aisle in Sainsbury’s…) So naturally, I’m already planning my outfits for some adventures at the end of the month. That’s why I was excited to receive a few pieces from Lovehoney’s Come Alive at Night Halloween campaign.

I’ve tried a few pieces from the Fierce wet-look range before, and always found them sexy as hell. This time, it was the turn of the Fierce Wet Look Cut-Out Mini Dress.

First Impressions

I debated whether to categorise this piece as clothing or as lingerie. It’s definitely a dress, but it’s also extremely short – unless you’re maybe 5’2″ or under, this is not going to be something you can wear to an ordinary club or bar unless you want to show everyone your underwear.

I was immediately impressed with the shine of the fabric. It’s a stretchy polyester/elastane blend in a luscious deep black that catches the light when you move.

Fit & Comfort

The Fierce Wet Look Cut-Out Mini Dress opens completely at the front and then closes with a zipper up the middle. This makes it easy to get into. Just slip your arms into the sleeves and then zip up. You can choose how far you want to close the zipper, depending on how much skin you want to show off.

The collar closes with bra style clasps with three different settings to choose from, depending on how tight you want it. I found this a little difficult to fasten by myself when I couldn’t see what I was doing. Use a mirror or ask your partner to fasten it for you. Once the neck is fastened, you get a cut-out peephole neckline which is super sexy.

I got the medium, which fits my current size 10/12 body very well. With these pieces, I’d recommend sizing down rather than up if you’re between sizes, as they’re meant to cling like a second skin. This dress is surprisingly comfortable, since it has no wires and does not pinch or dig in anywhere. The fabric does make you very, very hot after a while, so be aware of that if you’re wearing it in a warm venue like a club.

Aesthetic

The Fierce Wet Look Cut-Out Mini Dress is a rare gem for me: a garment that works with my G-cup boobs, rather than fighting against them. It gives me cleavage for days, and I am, here for it!

I feel sexy in a vampy sort of way in this dress. I love the way it enhances the curve of my waist and hips and shows off my shape at its best. I’ll likely pair it with some killer heels, sexy stockings, and the signature kitty ears for a full Halloween look. This range is well-named – it really does make me feel fiercely fabulous!

Verdict

[Lingerie Review] Lovehoney Hourglass Open-Cup Crotchless Body

If you’ve been reading my reviews for a while, you’ll know that my biggest complaint when it comes to lingerie is often that my G-cup boobs simply won’t fit in the garment properly. One of the ways around that problem? Open-cup lingerie! I recently received the Lovehoney Hourglass Open-Cup Crotchless Body to review. Did it live up to expectations? Let’s find out…

Lovehoney Hourglass Open-Cup Crotchless Body

The Lovehoney Hourglass Body is a one piece bodysuit made of black floral lace and microfibre. It features removeable straps, which frame your breasts as well as helping the garment stay up (though the top is elasticy enough that it stays up fairly well without them). It also features removeable suspender straps.

The Lovehoney Hourglass Body opens at the crotch and is adorned in the centre of the microfibre section with the Lovehoney heart insignia.

First impressions were positive. The piece looks well-made, the fabrics are soft and stretchy, and the aesthetic is sexy.

Fit and Comfort

The Lovehoney Hourglass Body is designed to be wearable either on its own or under clothing as “shapewear”. This means that comfort and fit are of paramount importance – this is something you could potentially wear all night under a dress, not just slip into for bedroom wear.

This piece is super comfy, as lingerie goes, as it’s pleasingly stretchy and feels super soft against the skin. The straps are fully adjustable, so you can set them to suit your body (or remove them entirely, if you prefer). I’m not much of a stockings person but if you are, thigh-highs and killer heels would be a great way to complete the look.

Fit wise, the Lovehoney Hourglass Body runs pretty true to size. I received a Medium and it fits my size 12 frame well. If you’re between sizes, I’d recommend going a size down rather than up, since this piece is stretchy and is supposed to cling snugly.

Since this piece is open cup, you don’t need to worry about cup sizes! (A godsend for people like me who are well-endowed in the chest department and have often struggled with lingerie as a result). You can easily wear it either by itself or with a bra.

Look and Wearability

This is one of those pieces that I’ll wear again and again because it makes me feel confident and sexy as hell.

Despite striving to be body-positive and doing continual work on my self-image, there are still parts of my own body that I struggle with. Most notably, my stomach. So pieces that hide the bits of my body I’m less confident about, while emphasising the bits I do love (waist, boobs), are basically the holy grail of lingerie to me. I’m also really into the way the lace panels cling to the curve of my hips.

The look is a kind of femme soft-bondage, especially with the straps left on. It creates a sexy hourglass (hence the name) silhouette. The floral lace is pretty, and I really love the little diamond detailing around the edges.

Simply gorgeous!

Verdict

Yes – an absolute winner! If you’re looking for something to wear under your clothes and surprise your lover with, or just to feel fabulous in the bedoom (/sex club), look no further.

[Lingerie Review] Lovehoney Mindful Body

Two of the things I love, which you’ll know if you read this blog regularly, are gorgeous lingerie and sustainability. Anything that combines the two? Hell yeah, I’m all over it! That’s why I was delighted to receive an item from the new Lovehoney Mindful range.

I received the Mindful Mint Green Leopard Print Seamless Body, which we’ll take a look at in a minute. But first, what makes the Mindful range different?

Mindful Beauty

Lovehoney Mindful is a range of lingerie and underwear made from recycled seamfree materials such as recycled lace and renewed nylon. Every aspect of the pieces, including the elastics, are made from GRS-certified, pre-consumer recycled materials which would otherwise end up in landfill.

Even the packaging is sustainable. It is made from cornstarch (don’t ask me how – science is cool, y’all) and is plastic-free and 100% compostable.

Pretty cool, no?

Lovehoney Mindful Mint Green Leopard Print Body

This piece (hereafter the Mindful Body for short) called to me straight away. I love comfortable, easy-on (and easy-off) one-pieces, and this looked like it would fill all those requirements.

The Lovehoney Mindful Body is shaped like a swimsuit or leotard. It is available in sizes from 8 to 26, and features high-cut legs and a thick central band that sits around the waist. It opens at the crotch with three poppers.

Look & Style

The Lovehoney Mindful Body is very different to many of the things you’ll normally see in a lingerie store. It’s also quite a change from things I’d usually pick up for myself.

For starters, the mint green is an unusual colour for lingerie – a genre of clothing that tends to favour black, reds, purples, and pinks. But it’s also really pretty, and I love the leopard print!

I sent a pic to one of my flirtfriends and their response was “I’m now picturing you doing an 80s workout video!” And, yes, this does have some distinctly 80s vibes!

The curve of my waist is one of my favourite bits of my body. For that reason, I love the waist band, which accentuates that area. I also like the high leg cut, which makes my short legs look longer!

You can wear this piece on its own, for a night in at home or a night out at a suitable sex-positive venue… or you could pair it with other items to make a full outfit.

I’m looking forward to wearing it with a swishy black miniskirt and killer heels, but I think it’d also look fabulous with some skintight leather trousers. Honestly, stick a bra on under it and wear it with jeans or a skirt, and you could get away with it to a vanilla bar or nightclub. A truly versatile item!

Fit & Comfort

Oh my goodness, this thing is so unbelievably comfy! To begin with, the fabric is lovely and soft, and feels gentle against the skin.

The Lovehoney Mindful Body is pretty stretchy, so don’t worry too much if you’re between sizes or not sure which to go for. I’m a UK size 12 right now and I ordered a M/L, which says it is for sizes 12-14. The fit is reasonably true to size, though if you’re unsure I would suggest going a size up rather than a size down.

Also, because there are no cups or wires or anything, the Mindful Body is not only super comfortable but actually contains my boobs! I don’t feel like I’m going to fall out of it with every movement, which is pretty challenging when you’re a G-cup. This piece has racerback style straps which are fully adjustable for the most comfortable fit.

The Lovehoney Mindful Body is also super easy to get in and out of! Just step into it like you would a swimsuit and pull the straps over your shoulders, and you’re ready to go. This is a nice change from many of the more, erm, complex garments in my lingerie collection.

Final Verdict

This cute, quirky piece has me feeling like one sexy kitty! Add in the comfortable fit and the eco credentials, and you’re on to a winner.

The Mindful range contains a selection of gorgeous pieces. They all use eco-friendly materials and offer inclusive sizing.

[Lingerie Review] Lovehoney Empress Body

Today is the first of two lingerie reviews that will be featured in my #12DaysofLovehoney series. I first received pictures of the Empress collection quite a while ago, and I was smitten from first sight! It was hard to choose the piece I liked most, but I eventually settled on the Empress body.

Empress Body: First Impressions

Empress is a line of black and red lingerie from Lovehoney. The line features four different styles, and all are also available in plus size variations.

The Empress Body is a one-piece black lace body with red satin detailing. It features a plunging neckline, high-cut leg, and low back. There are also removeable suspenders, so you can wear it with matching stockings or by itself. Here’s how it looks on the model:

My first impression when I took the Empress Body out of the packaging was of quality and luxury. The materials feel lovely and it’s obviously beautifully made. I couldn’t wait to try it on and see how it looked.

Fit & Comfort

The Empress Body fits me really well! The waist band is stretchy and the bra style clasps at the back have three settings. The shoulder straps and suspenders are also highly adjustable.

It even contains my boobs reliably unless I lie down on my side (in which case they do whatever they damn well please and I am yet to find the garment that can stop them!) It’s nice to have an item of lingerie I can walk around in without feeling as though I’m having to tuck my nipples back into it every few seconds.

I wear a size 14 and I ordered the large as recommended, which ran true to size.

The Empress Body is even reasonably comfortable. The lace is soft and feels nice against my skin, and there are no uncomfortable wires or pinchy/scratchy bits.

Another nice touch is the popper fastenings on the crotch. My partner appreciated being able to pop them open and says they give the Empress Body an extra few points from him!

Look & Materials

The Empress Body is just absolutely gorgeous! The scalloped lace is luxurious and elegent, while the red detailing is super striking.

I particularly love the shape of this piece. The red band sits at the narrowest part of the waist and creates a gorgeous hourglass silhouette. And the plunging neckline emphasises the breasts and creates phenomenal cleavage!

I feel so sexy in this item. It’s been a long time since a piece of lingerie made me feel this good.

Final thoughts

I absolutely adore this piece – I’m so, so impressed with it! I hope we can go to sex clubs again sometime in the not too distant future so that I can wear it and show it off. I think it would pair wonderfully with some ruby red sky-high heels.

[Lingerie Review] Lovehoney Fierce Lace-Up Bra Set

I was so excited about this one that I’ve bumped it up the review queue! I’m very into Lovehoney’s Fierce range and honestly would probably buy one of everything if I could. So it was lovely to receive this set to review for you guys. Let’s take a look.

Lovehoney Fierce Lace-Up Bra Set

The Fierce Lace-Up Bra Set is part of Lovehoney’s Fierce range, a collection of fetish-inspired, wet-look and faux leather pieces. This two-piece set is made up of a bra and… knickers? Shorts? Kinda a halfway house? I’m gonna go with “knickers” for ease of writing.

The set is made of black faux-leather, which is a polyester/elastane mix. Bonus: the gusset on the knickers is cotton-lined, which is healthier for your bits!

The butt, cleavage, and two cut-out sections on the knickers have lace-up detailing with metal eyelets. The bra ties up in a halter-neck style.

First impressions

I loved this set as soon as I took it out of the packaging. I love the look and feel of leather, but have ethical qualms about it as a vegetarian. So, while not 100% convincing – at least close up – this is a decent alternative.

Fit & Comfort

Ahh – no wires! I make no secret of the fact that I think wired bras are the fucking devil and absolutely will not wear them if I can possibly help it. Fortunately, the Fierce Lace-Up Bra Set is completely wire-free.

As sexy lingerie goes, this set is shockingly comfortable to wear. The fabric feels nice against the skin, and the stretchy elastic waist and underbust bands mean nothing is digging in or pinching.

The Fierce Lace-Up Bra Set comes in small, medium, and large sizes, and there’s a handy sizing chart on the product page. It’s also available in an equally sexy plus size version. As the elastic is stretchyy and the bra has 3 clasp options and a halterneck, it’s somewhat adjustable in terms of sizing.

I’m a size 14 and the large fits me comfortably. Some reviewers noted that the knickers were on the small side, so if in doubt consider going up a size.

So for the moment of truth: did it contain my boobs?

The answer to that is… kind of. They did mostly fit into the cups and stayed put, particularly when I tied the halterneck quite tight to give them a little extra lift. But I did get a little bit of nipple slippage at the front. If this is something you don’t want, go up a size if you’re well endowed in the chest department.

Look & Feel

This set is VERY my style. The feminine silhouette with a kinky edge just speaks very much to my personal aesthetic goals.

Lovehoney describe it as a “Dominatrix-inspired look,” but I think that’s only one possible interpretation. The open panels and easy access through the lacing and crotchless knickers speaks to vulnerability to me, which helps me tap into my submissive headspace when I’m wearing it.

The laced up detailing really makes this set for me. It’s just the right level of showing off my body while leaving enough to the imagination to tease a lover and make them want more.

Care & cleaning

The Fierce Lace-Up Bra Set is hand-wash only. Use cold water and gentle detergent if necessary. Dry it on the washing line, and don’t iron it.

Final thoughts

Oh yes, this one did not disappoint!

The Fierce collection was created with actual kinksters in mind, and it shows.

Bonus: it’s so easy to take on and off that you can wear it to the dungeon[1], slip out of it for playtime, then pop it back on in seconds.

This set retails for an affordable £34.99 ($42.99 US). Far below the price tag of real leather!

[Lingerie Review] Lovehoney “Late Night Liaison” Babydoll

Some things are classic for a reason. The combination of black, lacy and sheer for sexy lingerie is one of them. Today I’m pleased to bring you a review of a black Lovehoney babydoll from the Late Night Liaison range.

Lovehoney “Late Night Liaison” Babydoll

I’ve declared my love for one-piece lingerie before. Okay, the Late Night Liaison babydoll is technically two pieces, since it comes with a thong. But it’s the main piece I want to focus on here.

The babydoll features a plunging neckline and criss-cross style straps at the back. Two additional straps frame the cleavage and meet in the middle. The bust and underbust panel are made of a pretty floral lace, and the skirt is a plain black mesh. The Lovehoney silver heart insignia sits at the bottom of the V-neck, between the breasts.

This babydoll is made of a polyester blend. I would much prefer a natural fiber, as they’re both more sustainable and more comfortable and breathable to wear, but at this price point the reality is that most pieces will be made of synthetic fabrics.

Fit and Comfort

As you can see from the picture of this babydoll on Lovehoney’s model, the first elasticated band is supposed to sit under the bust. On me, it sits just under my nipples. I haven’t had a bra fitting in well over a decade and have no idea what size I actually am, but I’d guess something around a G cup. If your chest is any larger than a C or D cup, don’t expect the Late Night Liaison babydoll to actually contain very much. Yes, it covers my boobs… but barely.

It’s listed as “one size,” which… argh. Regular readers will know how I generally feel about “one size fits all” lingerie. (Spoiler: there’s no such thing. Bodies are different. I’d rather pay a bit more for something that actually fits my body!)

Since the bands are highly adjustable and the underbust (lol) band and waistband are stretchy, it’s probably technically true that anyone from a size 8 to a 16 could wear this Lovehoney babydoll. But what I would really like to see is sizing that takes different bust sizes into account. There’s also a Plus Size version, designed to fit sizes 18-24. The two versions are otherwise identical.

As lingerie goes, the Late Night Liaison babydoll is acceptably comfortable. The lace could be softer, but it’s not horribly scratchy, and the mesh of the skirt is lovely – soft and light.

And, thank Goddess, it has no fucking wires!

As with most delicate items made of lace or mesh, this item is hand-wash only. Use a bowl of warm (not hot) water and some gentle detergent. You can also use the hand-wash cycle on your washing machine, if it has one.

Aesthetics and Sex Appeal

I thought the Lovehoney Late Night Liaison babydoll was pretty enough when I took it out of the bag, but I really fell in love with it when I put it on.

The delicate floral lace is really beautiful, the shape is flattering, and I adore the way she centre straps frame my cleavage. I particularly like the extra lace panel under the bust, which gives it an unusual shape that’s a bit different from the classic babydoll.

Considering that Mr C&K asked me to wear it the next time we had sex after it arrived, I’d say he’s a fan too!

Despite the imperfect fit issues due to the dreaded “one size,” I’m overall a fan of this piece and will definitely be wearing it again. Pretty, flattering, wire-free lingerie that makes me feel good to wear is always a wonderful thing to find.

[Lingerie Review] Lovehoney Moonlight Wine Crotchless Plunge Body

Before I started this blog, I was very definitely Not A Lingerie Person. I haven’t owned a bra that isn’t a sports bra in years. My knickers are more likely to be practical and comfy than small and lacy. With that said, I thought I’d broaden my horizons when I was offered the chance to try something from the Lovehoney Moonlight range. Eventually I chose this Crotchless Plunge Bodysuit in a shade Lovehoney calls “wine.”

Being, as I’ve mentioned, Not A Lingerie Person and someone with a complicated relationship with her body, I was worried that this piece either wouldn’t fit me or that I’d just look ridiculous and feel about as sexy as a blob.

So how did I actually get on?

Lovehoney Moonlight Crotchless Plunge Bodysuit

This bodysuit features plunging underwired cups, lace accents, and adjustable shoulder straps for a comfortable fit. It is available in sizes from Small (UK 6-8) up to 4XL (UK 22-24).

The shade (well-named, it really is close to the colour of red wine!) is stunning, and the lace and ribbon accents are stylish and feminine without being “too much.” The satiny ribbon around the middle is a really nice touch that completes the look for me. I love how it accentuates my waist, which I think is one of my best features.

The material is a mix of polyester satin and lace. It looks beautiful together and feels soft and comfortable against the skin. I don’t love that it’s made of a non-sustainable fibre, though. I tend to shy away from lace because it can be so scratchy, and my skin is very sensitive to textures, but this lace avoids that problem.

Fit and Sizing

As is so often the case with lingerie made to clothing sizes rather than bra sizes, the cups run a bit small if you’re big-busted. My G-cups were falling out of the Lovehoney Moonlight Bodysuit even when the rest of the piece was true to size. I also just really can’t wear underwired pieces for any length of time as they’re absolute sensory hell for me.

Lovehoney Moonlight Bodysuit: Verdict

This piece really is beautiful, but the fit just isn’t quite right for me and my large chest, unfortunately. I enjoyed wearing it for a short time but I think I’ll be passing it on to someone who can get more enjoyment from it than I can.
