After their recent collaborations, I have come to expect great things from a product made by the powerhouse duo of Lovehoney and Womanizer. So when the InsideOut landed in my review pile, I was ready to be wowed.
Did it live up to expectations? Let’s find out!
Lovehoney x Womanizer InsideOut
The InsideOut is a dual stimulation clitoral and G-spot toy made by Lovehoney and Womanizer. It’s a similar shape to a rabbit vibrator but, instead of the traditional “bunny ears,” the clitoral stimulator is a suction toy using Womanizer’s patented Pleasure Air tech.
It is superficially similar to the Womanizer Duo, though there are some key differences. Specifically, the InsideOut has a shaft that is pretty much the same width all the way along, while the Duo has a more pronounced head. The Duo also has fancy bonus features that the InsideOut lacks, such as the Smart Silence function.
The InsideOut is fully waterproof, and rechargeable via USB. Its shaft is 4.5″ in insertable length, and the whole thing is 7.5″ long. It is made of smooth body-safe silicone in the same shade of purple as Lovehoney’s Desire range.
What I Did Like
First, the good.
The clitoral suction stimulator is amazing. It really ought to be, given that that’s the main thing Womanizer is known for! It has 12 settings and comes with a second nozzle, which has a wider opening. The extra nozzle is ideal if you have a larger clit or like stimulation over a broader area.
The shaft is also really flexible. A common complaint with dual stimulation toys is that they just don’t take different bodies into account. But because the InsideOut’s shaft flexes, you can position it however you like. This makes it easy to hit your clit and G-spot effectively at the same time.
Speaking of G-spotting, that curved shaft is ideally shaped. I also like that it’s not too thick, since slimline is usually more my jam when it comes to penetrative toys.
Finally, I found it oddly easy to use this toy hands-free. Once it’s in, if I keep my legs pressed together it stays in place really well. That was unexpected, but it’s a nice bonus.
What I Didn’t Like
Unfortunately, the InsideOut has some really significant downsides. First and (for me) most importantly, it is – and I cannot stress this enough – loud as fuck. The clitoral suction part makes a really obnoxious rattling buzz that sounds like a cross between a lawnmower and my coffee machine when it runs out of water.
The InsideOut somehow gets rated 4/5 for “Quietness” in on-site product reviews, which is just laughably inaccurate. It is so so loud, and in a way that is distracting enough to significantly reduce any pleasure I’m getting from the toy.
Secondly, the buttons are finnicky. I struggle to get the InsideOut to reliably turn on and off, and sometimes have to press the button two or three times to get it to do what I want. Also for some reason the red “power” light stays on inside the nozzle for several minutes, even when you’ve switched the toy off.
Finally, the vibrations in the shaft are super buzzy. This is less of a problem for me personally, since my idea of good internal vibes is no internal vibes. But lots of people do enjoy G-spot-targeted vibrations and if this is you, you’re likely to find the InsideOut’s power disappointing. I tried to repurpose the shaft as a clitoral vibe and it was nowhere near enough to get me even close to orgasm.
The InsideOut has a lot of potential but is really let down by its flaws. While I did get some pleasure out of using it, thanks to the flexible positioning and strong suction settings, it left me disappointed overall.
After some major Lovehoney/Womanizer winners, this one is a miss.
