[Toy Review] Icicles No. 24 Glass Tentacle Dildo

Fantasy sex toys are probably the single category that I get asked about the most and have to respond “I truly don’t have a fucking clue.” Absolutely zero judgement if you want to fuck things that look like monsters or aliens or tentacles, of course. YKINMKBYKIOK! But it’s not my thing. Even so, given that I get asked about them constantly, I thought it might be time to try some out and see if I can gather some recommendations for you all.

My pals at Whipple Tickle, a new UK-based sex shop selling a vast range of products, kindly sent me a couple of products to try. First up is the Icicles No. 24, a glass tentacle dildo by Pipedream Products.

Icicles No. 24 Glass Tentacle Dildo

The Icicles No. 24 is a glass tentacle dildo measuring 6″ in total length (5″ insertable.) It is made from borosilicate glass – the same stuff as Pyrex cookware. This material is body-safe, non-porous, hypoallergenic, and surprisingly strong. There’s no way a glass toy is going to break inside you, so please put that fear to bed now. (Though if you drop the toy on a hard floor, it’s best to retire it. Even if it looks okay, there may be cracks that you can’t see.)

Icicles No. 24 glass tentacle dildo

The Icicles No. 24 is easy to clean using warm soapy water, boiling water, a sterile wipe, or a 10% bleach solution. As it’s non-porous and has no motor, it’s safe to use in water. The curved tail “handle” also means you can safety use the Icicles No. 24 anally, if you want to.

The Icicles No. 24 is very pretty, with a lovely pink hue to the glass. I can see that, if you have that particular kink, it could be very sexy.

In Use: What I Didn’t Like

After many years of trying and reviewing virtually every variety of sex toy under the sun, I have had to concede to the point that I just don’t particularly like very textured internal toys. I find them overstimulating to the point of painful more than I find them arousing.

Icicles No. 24 glass tentacle dildo

I really gave the Icicles No. 24 a damn good go and I wanted to love it much more than I did. Unfortunately it’s just not one that’s a good fit for my body. Even with plenty of lube, it’s slightly too wide for me to insert comfortably. The bumps on the top of the shaft also caused me pain rather than pleasure.

It’s important to say, though, that this is a matter of personal preference. There’s not much inherently wrong with this toy and, if your preferences are different and more aligned with what the toy is offering, you’ll probably love it.

One design feature that really bugs me is the handle. Firstly, it’s too small. I can just about get two fingers through the loop, but I have teeny tiny hands. Anyone with bigger hands than me is going to really struggle to hold this toy comfortably. I also hate that the bumps extend all the way around the handle. I get it from an aesthetic perspective, but it makes the toy really uncomfortable to hold.

In Use: Anything I Did Like?

The one thing I will say in this toy’s defence, though, is that the gently curved shape is excellent. Perfect for targeted G-spot pressure. Remove those bumps and narrow it a bit, and this would be a toy I’d love. In this guise, though, it’s not for me.

Icicles No. 24 glass tentacle dildo

Other good things I can say about it: it’s satisfyingly weighty. Also, glass can be heated up or cooled down for temperature-based fun. Just pop it in the fridge or run it under warm water before you play.

Verdict

You should buy the Icicles No. 24 glass tentacle dildo if you have a tentacle kink, enjoy very rigid toys, and like the intensity that comes with excessive texturing. If you prefer smoother or softer toys, though, it’s unlikely to work for you.

Icicles No. 24 glass tentacle dildo

This one is really going to be a Marmite sex toy, I think. (That’s British for “you’ll either love it or hate it”, for my international readers.) It doesn’t really work for me, but I can tell you exactly what type of person it WILL work for.

The Icicles No. 24 retails for £70.99.

[Toy Review] Lovehoney Sensual Glass Irridescent Anal Beads

It’s Sex In Full Colour month at Lovehoney in celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride month. So during June, I’m going to be bringing you a series of reviews of fun, playful products to bring a little additional colour and sparkle to your sex life.

Today’s review is also a first for me, as I’ve never reviewed a set of anal beads before. In fact, I’ve never even tried anal beads before! Read on to find out how I got on when the Lovehoney Sensual Glass Irridescent Anal Beads landed in my review pile.

Dare to Gleam…

The Irridescent Anal Beads from Lovehoney are made of borosilicate glass (the same stuff that Pyrex cookware is made from.) Borosilicate is hard-wearing, body-safe, and easy to clean.

Irridescent Glass Anal Beads from Lovehoney

Measuring a total of 7.5″ in length, this set of beads offers 6″ of insertable length and a convenient loop handle. The toy’s seven beads are very gently graduated in size, getting a little larger as you move from tip to handle, and the whole shaft is slightly curved.

The glass shimmers in different colours as you move it and it catches the light. The pink, yellow-gold, and blue shades are eyecatching and unusual. The product description refers to the design as “oilslick” and yes, it really does look like spilled oil in sunlight. It’s almost impossible to capture the full effect on camera (at least with my level of photography skills) but this toy is so, so beautiful.

Comfort and Experience

So I was a little nervous about trying the Irridescent Anal Beads. Glass toys tend to be intense anyway because they’re so rigid and unyielding, and glass anal toys particularly so. But the rounded tip and smooth glass made them a breeze to insert and super comfortable to use.

Glass Irridescent Anal Beads

The great thing about anal beads is that you can insert them as much or as little as feels good for you. I found that the entire length was a bit too much to be pleasurable, but going to the fourth or fifth bead was perfect. Your mileage may vary, of course.

The loop handle makes these beads ergonomic and easy to use and manipulate, however far you want to insert them.

Whatever you do, remember to use tonnes of lube. Sliquid Sassy is my anal lube of choice but any thick, body-friendly lubricant will work with a glass toy.

Some Fun Ways to Use Anal Beads

As with any sex toy, the only “correct” way to use anal beads is the way that is safe and feels pleasurable to you. The first time you play with them, I suggest just inserting them and seeing how they feel. You can wiggle them around to get some additional stimulation, which I hear is particularly good if you’re someone who has a prostate.

With that said, here are a couple of other fun and creative ways to play with anal beads:

Play with temperature

Run your Irridescent Anal Beads under some warm water or put them in the fridge for a few minutes before you play. Glass retains temperature, so you’ll be able to enjoy a warming or cooling sensation.

Pull them out at the point of orgasm

This is the main reason many people swear by anal beads. If you pull them out just as you reach orgasm, they can intensify the contractions and give you a more powerful or longer-lasting climax. This won’t work for everyone, of course, but give it a go if you’re curious!

Verdict

I’m a convert! These glass anal beads are ideal if you’re experimenting with anal play for the first time and looking for an easy, safe toy. They’re also ideal if you’ve tried silicone or other soft anal beads and are looking for something a little more intense.

The Lovehoney Sensual Glass Irridescent Anal Beads retail for a bargain £32.99 ($39.99 US). You can a discount on your entire order with the code “AFF-COFFKINK10” at checkout.

Thanks as ever to Lovehoney for sending me this toy to review. All views, as always, are mine.

[Toy Review] Jopen Key Comet Wand

Update 15/09/23: unfortunately Self & More has now closed down. Links have been removed or amended to reflect this.

The Jopen Key Comet Wand has been on my wish-list for some time. It’s one of those toys I’ve seen so many sex bloggers rave about. Naturally, I wanted to try it! Luckily for me, the lovely folks at Self and More – a woman-owned, online store that stocks only body-safe products and uses ungendered marketing – were happy to hook me up.

Jopen Key Comet Wand packaging

Let’s take a closer look…

The Jopen Key Comet Wand is a two-in-one dildo. It’s a glass wand, and one end is dipped in body-safe pink silicone. It has a pronounced curve and two bulbous heads (the silicone head is larger than the glass head.)

Jopen Key Comet Wand on a red and white blanket

Thanks to the glass, the Comet Wand has a satisfying weight to it and is firm to the touch. You get around 5″ of insertable length from each end, and the diameter is 1.5″ at the widest point.

Your Comet Wand comes with a storage bag, which will help keep it lint free and prevent the glass from getting chipped in storage. The glass end features a stainless steel accent with the Jopen Key insignia.

Shape and feel

This toy is enduringly popular with fans of G-spot play. Having now had a chance to try it, I can see why.

When I play with rigid toys made of hard materials, I prefer to sort of wiggle them gently rather than thrust (which tends to be more painful than pleasurable.) The Comet Wand is absolutely amazing for this purpose. The curved shaft targets the right spot with ease, the firm, bulbed heads provide intense pressure, and the wand is large enough to create a feeling of fullness, without being so large as to be uncomfortable.

Jopen Key Comet Wand on a wooden floor

I can have G-spot orgasms reliably with the Comet Wand. Using it with a strong clitoral vibrator for blended orgasms is also amazing.

Whichever end you’re not using for penetration makes a convenient and ergonomic handle, making the Comet Wand comfortable to hold and manipulate.

I haven’t been able to try this out as I’m not able to see any of my vulva-owning lovers right now (curse you COVID!). But I suspect this toy would work well to use together if you’re into that, as it’s effectively double ended.

Jopen Key Comet Wand on a wooden floor

Whichever end of the toy you’re using, remember to use plenty of water-based lube to keep things comfortable.

Verdict

The Jopen Key Comet Wand is a genuinely excellent G-spot toy, effective and brilliant in its simplicity. If you enjoy firm internal stimulation and want tol

[Toy Review] Lovehoney Sensual Beaded Glass Dildo

My shipment of review products from Lovehoney for Masturbation Month contained not one but TWO glass toys! (I reviewed the first a few days ago, check it out). I love glass sex toys and I really don’t know why I didn’t own more of them until now, considering how affordable they are. Let’s take a look at the Lovehoney Sensual Beaded Glass Dildo

Handblown for your pleasure

The Lovehoney Sensual Beaded Glass Dildo

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Dildo is a gently curved, handblown class toy, made up of 6 pronounced bulbs, getting smaller from the bottom to the top. It’s made of clear glass and sports the Lovehoney heart insigna stamped on the largest bead at the bottom.

Can I use glass sex toys safely?

I’m going to keep banging on about this: yes! Properly made glass sex toys are made of borosilicate glass, which is annealed to be extremely strong. It’s the same stuff that glass cookware is made of. Your glass dildo is not going to break inside you.

The Lovehoney Sensual Beaded Glass Dildo

A word of caution: if you drop your toy on a hard surface, retire it even if it looks okay. There might be cracks you can’t see which make it less safe.

But otherwise, glass sex toys are phthalate-free, non-porous, easy to sterilise, and totally body safe. So go for it and don’t stress.

Tips for using your Beaded Glass Dildo comfortably and safely…

I have to admit I was a little daunted by the Beaded Glass Dildo when I took it out of its packaging. It’s bigger than you think it’s going to be! It is 9 inches in total length, 7 inches in insertable length. The widest point of the insertable shaft is 1.35 inches wide.

This might not sound huge, but it’s a fair size when you remember that glass is completely rigid. Unlike silicone, it has no give at all. Therefore you’ll want to make sure you’re proberly warmed up before you use your Beaded Glass Dildo.

I’ve found that I need to work up to this toy. Starting out with a silicone dildo means that I can warm up, get everything stretched out, and make sure my body is receptive and ready to take this things’s bulk.

The Lovehoney Sensual Beaded Glass Dildo
Please ignore my horrible nails!

The other thing I’ve learned about glass toys is that they’re not really optimal for thrusting with. If I try to “fuck” with a glass dildo, it just hurts, and may people report similar experiences. (This is especially true if, like me, you HATE having anything hit your cervix.) Instead, I like to insert my Beaded Glass Dildo and then just wiggle it gently against my G-spot. It’s so hard that even the smallest movement gives a delicious pressure which is super pleasurable.

Remember: when you’re using a rigid toy, it’s really important to use plenty of lube. I always recommend a good quality, natural water-based lube like Sliquid Sassy! But silicone-based or oil-based is fine too, if that’s your preference.

You might find the sensation strange if you’ve never used a glass toy before. That’s really normal. If anything is painful, though, you should stop. Pain is your body’s way of indicating that something is wrong!

Can I use it anally?

Yup! The large bead at the bottom of the dildo acts as a sort of base, meaning it’s safe for butt play. Many people with prostates particularly find that stimulation with glass toys can be really pleasurable, but it can be fun for anyone.

As with all anal play, listen to your body and use more lube than you think you need. No, more lube than that. And a bit more still!

So how does it feel?

Oh my god, I love this dildo!

The bulges of the beads give an amazing full feeling, the curve is just at the perfect angle for reaching all the right spots, and the pressure of that bulb against my G-spot… mmmmffff. Honestly, this thing is near perfection. I can’t praise it enough!

What other fun things can I do with a glass dildo?

I feel like I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating!

  • If you enjoy internal vibrations, either vaginally or anally, press a powerful vibrator against the base of your Beaded Glass Dildo when it’s inside you. The glass will transmit the vibrations to all your sensitive spots. A wand is best for this.
  • Glass dildos are made for temperature play! Pop your dildo in the fridge for 20 minutes before play, or run it under warm (not hot!) water for a minute or two.

So do I recommend it?

Yes! The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Dildo is a great buy. Safe, versatile, feels amazing, and it’s even pretty to boot. At a ridiculously affordable £29.99/$39.99, I heartily recommend adding one of these to your collection.

[Toy Review] Lovehoney Pure Pleasure Sensual Glass Butt Plug

I love a glass sex toy! Ever since I first held a glass dildo in my hands at a fetish market sometime circa 2010 and knew I just had to buy it, I’ve had a huge thing for them. Glass is brilliant for a number of reasons. It’s body-safe (more on that in a minute). It’s rigid, unyeilding and just insistent. And it’s just so pretty! So it was lovely to find the Pure Pleasure Sensual Glass Butt Plug in my package of Masturbation Month goodies from Lovehoney.

The Lovehoney Pure Pleasure Sensual Glass Butt Plug

Important facts ‘n’ figures

The Pure Pleasure Plug is a classic glass butt plug. It’s smooth, gently tapered, and has a good sized flared base (which is very important for anything going in your butt!)

The Pure Pleasure Plug is 4.5 inches in length, of which just over 4 inches are insertable. It is made of clear glass and has the Lovehoney heart insignia stamped on the base.

The Lovehoney Pure Pleasure Sensual Glass Butt Plug

It also comes with a little black velvety storage pouch with a pink drawstring. This is both cute and helps to keep your toy safe in storage.

Is it safe to use a glass butt plug?

Yes!

Glass sex toys are made of borosilicate glass, which is annealed to make it very tough and hardwearing. The chances of your glass butt plug breaking in use are near zero.

If you drop it on a hard surface, though, you should retire it – even if it looks fine. This can damage the glass in ways that aren’t immediately visible, compromising its safety.

Clean your Pure Pleasure Plug with warm water and gentle soap, a sterile medical wipe, or a 10% bleach solution. I’m squeamish about sharing anal toys, but it is safe to do so as long as you completely sterilise it between users. The Pure Pleasure Plug is condom-compatible.

How does it feel?

Mmmmmfff, I love this plug.

Let me clarify: I need to be warmed up well in order to comfortably use this plug. It works best after I’ve used a smaller plug in a softer material like silicone, been well warmed up with fingers, or had a clitoral orgasm already.

The Lovehoney Pure Pleasure Sensual Glass Butt Plug

Glass toys have no give at all. Some people find them uncomfortable for this reason. Those of us who love them tend to enjoy the challenge of taking a solid, unyeilding toy.

As glass plugs go, this one is pretty comfy! The gentle taper makes insertion comfortable and means that nothing digs in anywhere it shouldn’t.

This is definitely a “play plug” for me. It’s too heavy and too solid to be practical for wearing for longer periods of time while I go about my day. A silicone plug works better for that purpose.

Some fun things to try with your Pure Pleasure Plug

One of the fun things about glass toys is that they can be used for temperature play. You can cool your glass butt plug by popping it in the fridge for 20 minutes before play, or warm it by running it under warm (NOT hot) water for a few moments.

I also enjoy the way that glass conducts vibrations. If you enjoy vibrations, try pressing a wand or other powerful vibrator against the base of your plug when it’s inside you. This is particularly pleasurable for many people with prostates, but can be enjoyed by anyone! People with vulvas may find that this indirectly stimulates the G-spot, which can be super hot.

So what’s the verdict?

This is a great little plug for the price! The Pure Pleasure Sensual Glass Butt Plug retails for just £19.99/$24.99 at Lovehoney. Don’t forget to grab some good quality lube to go with it!

[Toy Review] Lovehoney Beaded Heart Glass Dildo

Glass sex toys are enduringly popular for a reason. They’re really pretty, body-safe, often very affordable, and feel fucking amazing. So I was thrilled when the very sweet and generous lockdown care package I received from Lovehoney contained this little (well, not so little) beauty! Meet the Lovehoney Beaded Heart Glass Dildo.

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo

What’s in the box?

My Glass Heart Dildo arrived in Lovehoney’s signature pink and white branded packaging. Inside is the toy (wrapped in a generous amount of thick packing foam for safe transportation,) and a useful and stylish black velvety storage bag with pink drawstrings.

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo is 8 inches in total length, of which around 6 inches are insertable. At its widest point the diameter is 1.4″. Glass toys tend to be heavy, and this one weighs in at a hefty 310g.

This toy is super pretty. I love the aesthetic of glass toys and the pink heart handle with the Lovehoney heart insignia stamped on it adds a cute femme touch to this one. I’m sure they’d sell even more if it came in different colour options!

Are glass sex toys body-safe?

Yep!

Properly made glass sex toys are made from annealed borosilicate glass. This type of glass is non-porous and phthalate-free, and therefore the ideal material for body-safe sex toys. This type of glass is also hardwearing and sturdy. There’s virtually no risk of it breaking inside your body. Use with confidence!

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo

A couple of caveats:

Be careful how you store your glass toy, because it could break if you drop it or put something heavy on top of it. If you accidentally drop your toy on a hard surface, even if it looks fine, I advise retiring it. There could be fractures in the glass which you can’t see but which compromise its integrity and safety. And please, please do not use any glass items as sex toys that were not designed for that purpose! (Or any item, frankly.)

You can use any type of body-safe lube with a glass toy. Water-based is nearly always my preference, but silicone-based and oil-based are fine too, so pick what works for you.

Clean your glass toy with soap and warm water, a body-safe sterile wipe (I buy mine in bulk from a medical supplier,) or a 10% bleach solution. You can also put a condom over it if you want to share it with a partner without sterilising in between, if you’re not fluid-bonded.

How easy is it to hold and manipulate?

The heart at the top of the Beaded Glass Heart Dildo makes a convenient handle for ease of use. It fits well in my small hand. Folks with bigger hands might find it a little more challenging.

The Lovehoney Beaded Glass Heart Dildo

If you struggle with heavy toys, it’s worth bearing the weight of this one in mind. It was fine for me, but some people might find the heft of a large glass toy difficult.

How does it feel?

I’m in love with the feel of this dildo! I love the unyielding rigidity of glass, the ridges along the shaft feel delicious, and the bulbous head at the end is perfect for targeted G-spot stimulation. The weight of it also gives an amazing full feeling.

Personally I don’t like to thrust with glass dildos, as I find it intense to the point of being unpleasant. Instead I like to get it into the right position and then wiggle it gently. Other fun things to do include having this toy inside you while you use a clitoral vibrator, or pressing a powerful wand vibrator against the base of the dildo. The glass transmits the vibrations all the way inside for intense G-spot stimulation!

Another wonderful thing about glass dildos? They’re ideal for temperature play! Pop your Glass Heart Dildo in the fridge for 20 minutes before using it, or run it under some warm (not hot!) water. The change in temperature wakes your nerves up and makes the sensations extra intense.

Is it anal safe?

I deliberated on this one, but I’m going to say yes. The flared ridge and fairly large heart handle mean that the odds of anything going wrong if you use this toy anally are very very small. Remember to use plenty of lube – the butt isn’t self-lubricating, and using something rigid like a glass toy without sufficient lube can be painful or even cause tearing.

Final thoughts: do I recommend it?

I really love this dildo! Glass toys are an enduring favourite of mine for all the reasons listed above, and the Beaded Glass Heart Dildo delivers spectacularly. A+, highly recommended. And at just £29.99 ($39.99 US), it’s an absolute steal!

[Toy Review] The Red Head by Glas

I love glass toys, I love pretty toys, and I love double-ended toys. So when the folks at The Adult Toy Shop offered me this beauty from their range to try, I eagerly jumped at the chance.

If you’ve never tried a glass toy, you really should. They feel like nothing else! Smooth and yet completely unyielding, glass begins cold to the touch but warms up surprisingly quickly with your body’s heat. And you can always run it under some warm (not hot!) water or pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes prior to play for some exciting temperature-based fun.

Let’s meet the Red Head

Unlike many double ended dildos, I liked that both the ends on this one are the exact same size.

It’s 8.5″ in total length, and 1.5″ in diameter at the widest points of the heads. The shaft is 1″ in diameter.

This toy is really pretty. I always find glass toys very aesthetically pleasing and the red wave pattern on each of the heads gives this one a unique, striking appearance.

Is glass body-safe?

Short answer: yes!

Long answer: A properly made glass dildo is highly, highly unlikely to just break – and I have never heard of one breaking inside someone. Borosilicate glass, the kind that most glass toys are made of, is the same stuff that “Pyrex” and similar cookware is made from. It’s very hardy stuff and can withstand changes in temperature. It might break if you drop it on a hard floor from height, but that’s all you need to worry about.

Glass is non-toxic and non porous – it doesn’t contain any nasty chemicals like phthalates, and as long as you clean it properly it won’t harbour any bacteria or germs.

Glass toys are also latex and non-latex condom compatible, and safe to use with water, silicone or oil based lubes. In short, a great choice!

To clean your  glass toy, wash it in warm water and some gentle soap or soak it in a 10% bleach solution for a few minutes. For a quick clean, a body-safe medical wipe or toy wipe will do the trick.

In use…

Unfortunately, I did not have another pretty vulva-owning person on hand to try this toy with, so I tested it solo. I’m definitely keeping it earmarked for the next time I have someone with a vagina in my bed, though! As it doesn’t have a flared base, the Red Head is not suitable for anal play, but there are anal safe glass toys on the market if that’s your jam.

I’ve sometimes struggled with straight glass toys because, as they’re so rigid, it can be hard to angle them just right and they end up pressing into the wrong spot and hurting. No such issues with this dildo, though. The curved shape and super smooth surface means that, with the help of a little lube, it slid in with no pain or discomfort at all.

The combination of the gentle curve and the bulbous heads made the Red Head dildo immensely satisfying for me. The head presses in just the right way against my G-spot and with a little gentle wiggling, it feels absolutely wonderful.

A quick pro tip from me: if you like G-spot vibration and intense stimulation, insert your glass dildo then press a wand vibrator against the bit that’s outside your body. The glass will transmit the vibrations and they’ll feel really strong.

I have never squirted, but if I was ever going to, I’m pretty sure it would be a curved, very rigid G-spot toy – like this one – that got me there. Hmm. More experimentation is in order! For science, of course.

So do I recommend it?

Yes, this is a wonderful little (or not so little) toy for the price! It’s body-safe, super pretty, it feels delicious, and it’s perfect for both solo and partnered play. A perfect beginner glass toy, or even a good addition to an afficionado’s collection.

The Red Head retails for $28.34 (RRP $34.99) at The Adult Toy Shop.

This unbiased review was sponsored by The Adult Toy Shop, who carry a wide range of very affordable sex toys. This in no way affects my views of the product which are, and will always be, entirely my own.

[Toy Review] Chrystalino Blue Glass Double-Ended Dildo

Chrystalino are a new brand to me. But when Peepshow Toys included them in a list of review products for me to choose from, I just couldn’t resist the gorgeous blue glass! I went for the double-ended dildo as I did not previously have any double-ended toys in my collection.

The Chrystalino blue glass double ended dildo lying on top of its box on a brown chair seat.
This toy also comes in an attractive box.

A Touch of Glass…

I love glass toys. One of the first dildos I ever bought was my Icicles No. 5, which I used all the time until it sadly met its end on a tiled floor.

Glass is hard and unyielding. It’s so smooth and so firm. You can warm it up or cool it down.

Specs ‘n’ Stats

My hand holding the Chrystalino double-ended blue glass dildo against a while background.
Hand model: me

The Chrystalino Double-Ended Dildo is a curved toy, 7″ in total length, making an insertable length (whichever way around you use it) of a little over 5″. The diameter is 1.3″ at the widest point. One end has a single large, bulbous head, and the other end has two smaller tapering bumps.

The material is handblown Borosilicate glass (which used to be what the common brand-name Pyrex represented, though apparently isn’t any more!) Borosilicate glass is non-toxic, non-porous and shatterproof, which makes this toy completely body-safe.

This double-ended dildo retails at Peepshow Toys for $31.99, which is an absurdly good price for the quality. “Affordable AF!” as Phallophile Reviews notes.

Also Pretty AF

Apparently Chrystalino designs are “inspired by the Venetian glassmakers of Murano, with the beautiful art of lovemaking in mind“.  They’re all made of the same signature blue glass, which just screams luxury. They’re truly beautiful pieces of glass art as well as feeling wonderful. I would display this thing in my house!

So how did it feel?

The Chrystalino blue glass double-ended dildo on my kitchen counter with a "Coffee is My Love Language" mug.

Mr C&K and I tested this dildo together during a play session. I had my butt plugged (stay tuned for that review coming later!) and was lying on my front, and he slid the slimmer end of the dildo into me with the curve pointing toward the front of my body to press against my G-spot.

I cannot take a lot of hard thrusting with very solid toys. My vaginal opening gets sore and my cervix starts to complain. So what we’ve discovered works well with glass toys is this: slide it in, and then just wiggle it very slightly or tap on it lightly with a couple of fingers. This provides the necessary G-spot stimulation without making me sore. It’s less “pounding” and more “pressure”, and it feels incredible.

Next, I flipped over onto my back and we tried the thicker end of the toy. I’m pretty sure the noises I made when that bulbous head pressed against my G-spot scared the neighbours! With my sweetheart gently wiggling the dildo and me holding a wand to my clit, I came hard and fast.

This wand feels divine. The curve is perfect, the opportunity to work up from the smaller to larger ends is perfect, the shape of the heads is perfect.

Some more ideas for ways to use your Chrystalino glass toy

We didn’t use it anally, but this wand is designed to be safe for vaginal or anal use, so you definitely could.

Insert it and press a wand vibrator against the free end. The vibrations will travel all along the toy and feel wonderful.

Share it with a partner! I’m dying to use this toy with another vulva owner, one end inside each of us.

Heat it up or cool it down. The safest way to do this is run it under warm (not hot!) or cool water for a minute prior to play.

Some Notes on Cleaning

In most cases, as it’s non-porous, cleaning your Chrystalino dildo with a body-safe sterile wipe and some hot water and gentle soap will be more than sufficient.  However, Borosilicate glass is resistant to severe temperature changes (which is why it’s so often used in high-quality cookware!) – which means you can safely use boiling water to sterilise it if you want to.

Beware, though: not all glass sex toys are created equal, and some are made of soda-lime glass, which is still basically body-safe but cannot withstand boiling water or extreme temperature changes. This piece by Dangerous Lilly has more information.

Glass is condom-compatible, if you’re sharing it with a partner and concerned about potential STD transmission.

So do I recommend it?

Wholeheartedly. I adore it. Apart from possibly wishing it came with a storage bag (I’m always a bit scared of glass toys getting chipped in storage) I have absolutely no complaints.
