[Toy Review] Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo

Funzze is a relatively new brand on my radar, having only previously tried one of their toys at the time of writing. However, they do have some interesting things in their catalogue, so I was happy to agree to doing another set of reviews.

This week, we’re looking at the Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo.

Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo Details

The Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo is described as “a stainless steel G spot dildo with a sinuous shape, equipped with 2 insertable ends that offer different sensations.” That’s a pretty accurate summary. (Sinuous, FYI, means “having many curves and turns” and is just a very pleasing word to say.)

Funzze double-ended stainless steel dildo

One end of the dildo is a smooth curve with a bulbed head, and the other end has four rippling beads. The Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo measures 8.5″ end to end and a slimline 1.5″ in diameter at the widest part of the beads.

In terms of comparisons, it’s somewhat similar to the famous Njoy Fun Wand. However, the curve is less pronounced, the bulbs flow together rather than being completely distinct and separate pieces, and the head is a different shape. As such, I feel comfortable calling this a similar design rather than a copycat or a ripoff. At the end of the day, there are a lot of similar toys out there from different manufacturers and true innovation is rare in this industry.

Let’s Talk About Stainless Steel for a Minute

This toy is made of 304 grade stainless steel, which is a hardwearing, non-porous, and body-safe material. You can use it in water, boil-wash it to sterilise, and use it with any kind of lube you like.

304 is a cheaper alternative to 316 stainless steel, which contains higher levels of the element molybdenum. Molybdenum increases the corrosion resistance of stainless steel as well as increasing its heat resistance at high temperatures, neither of which are likely to be particularly relevant for sex toy use under normal circumstances.

Both 304 and 316 stainless steel contain some amount of nickel, a common allergen. Interestingly, according to the Nickel Institute, there’s a sex difference in play here. This organisation says that 15-16% of women but only around 4-5% of men suffer from nickel allergic contact dermatitis (NACD).

So is 304 stainless steel safe if you have a nickel allergy? The information I could find on this one was mixed. Some sources state that 304 and 316 stainless steels are effectively hypoallergenic. The Nickel Institute says:

For example, nickel-containing stainless steels are used by high quality watch manufacturers. Such high quality stainless steels contain 9% to 28% nickel but do not release sufficient amounts of nickel to cause a nickel allergy.

Some additional sources agree that the risk is minimal. Others, however, state that stainless steels can cause an allergic reaction in people with a nickel allergy. The sources I consulted were even mixed on whether or not 304 and 316 stainless steels were safe for use in body piercing.

Ultimately, you will need to decide on your own safety profile and level of acceptable risk. Personally, given that it will be inserted into highly sensitive areas of the body and make contact with mucus membranes, I wouldn’t risk using a stainless steel dildo if you have a nickel allergy. If you feel comfortable with the risk or know from experience that these toys are okay for you, though, have at it.

What I Liked About the Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo

Funzze double-ended stainless steel dildo

With all of that said, it was time to dive into trying out the Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo. Let’s look at the things I liked about it first.

  • The double-ended design means that this stainless steel dildo is essentially two toys in one. As such, it offers a variety of different sensations to explore.
  • I love the slim shaft. Due to their hardness, stainless steel toys can be seriously intense, even for experienced users. Too much girth would make this toy either uncomfortable or just unusable for me, so the slender design is perfect.
  • The pronounced head on the smoother end is ideal for targeting the G-spot or prostate, while the rippled end is fantastic for lovers of texture. (Pro tip: if thrusting with this toy is too intense for you or feels uncomfortable, try either wiggling it very gently or just holding it in place and allowing your body’s muscles to contract around it.)
  • The weight! One of the things that makes stainless steel so irresistible for sex toys is the sheer heft it offers. While this can make use more challenging for some, it also offers amazing pay-off in terms of how the toy feels. If you want intensity and lots of it, you’ve come to the right place.
  • Stainless steel conducts temperature better than almost any other sex toy material. Want to play with some different sensations? Run your toy under warm water or pop it in the fridge for a few minutes before playing.
  • It arrived in cardboard packaging (recyclable and minimising single-use plastic) and comes with a storage bag included.
  • It’s quick and easy to clean.
  • It retails for $69.99 (around £54), which is super good value for a stainless steel toy of this size.

Inevitably, I’m going to be asked if this toy is anal-safe. I’m a little torn on this one, because it does not technically have a large flared base. So after much deliberation, I’m settling on “probably.” It’s most likely fine as long as you use one end as a handle and insert no more than 50% of the toy at a time. Realistically, it’s also large and heavy enough that the entire toy isn’t going to get sucked up inside you without some serious effort. However, due to the shape, I advise against doing very deep penetration with this one.

Anything I Didn’t Like?

I really have no major criticisms of this product. Overall it’s a great design, excellent value, and a pleasure to use.

The finish on this dildo isn’t as perfectly smooth and shiny as you’ll find on some of the higher end stainless steel toys on the market. However, it’s also quite significantly less expensive than the prices that some of the more well-known and premium brands charge.

In a perfectly ideal world I would have preferred a slightly more pronounced curve, particularly to the smoother end of the dildo. This would make it more effective for very targeted G-spot or prostate stimulation. However, this is really more a matter of personal preference than a criticism of the toy. Bodies are all different, and this toy’s gentle curve will be ideal for some users.

Verdict

When I initially saw this toy, I was a little sceptical due to the relatively low price. However, the Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo is an excellent product and an affordable alternative to some of those high-ticket toys that are out of reach for many would-be users.

The Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo retails for $69.99.

Ready for Day 6? Let’s go.

Lovehoney Advent Calendar Day 6 box

Lovehoney Advent Calendar 2024 Day #6: Crystal Butt Plug

Box #6 contains an aluminium metal butt plug with a sparkly red crystal-look base.

Product Info

Lovehoney advent calendar crystal butt plug

  • Material: Aluminium
  • Colour: Rose gold body with a red gem base
  • Body safe? Generally yes; aluminium is a non-toxic and non-porous metal that is safe for use in sex toys. However, some aluminium can contain traces of nickel so I’d be very cautious if you are allergic.
  • Waterproof: Yes, you can use this toy in water with no issues.
  • Size: 3″ in total length, 1.1″ in diameter at widest insertable point
  • Speeds/patterns: N/A
  • Lube compatible: Yes, any kind of lube is suitable
  • Cleaning: Sterile wipe, 10% bleach solution, or warm water and antibacterial soap. I wouldn’t boil this one or put it in the dishwasher as it might damage the glue holding the gem in place.
  • RRP if bought as a single item: This similar toy retails for £22.99

Pros

Lovehoney advent calendar crystal butt plug

  • Surprisingly light – aluminium is a lot lighter than stainless steel, making it a more accessible entry point for metal toys
  • The rose gold body and red crystal colour scheme is really pretty
  • Great for temperature play – just pop it in the fridge or run it under some warm (not hot) water right before use
  • Small size likely to make it suitable for more users

Cons

  • In general, I think a metal anal toy in a set aimed at beginners is a bold choice. I might have gone for silicone instead.
  • The firm rounded base might dig in after you’ve been wearing it for a while and could be uncomfortable

Verdict

A nice little metal plug; personally I would have gone for silicone if I were designing this kit, but as entry-level metal anal toys go this is a decent one. The pretty colour and sparkly crystal make it super cute, too.

[Toy Review] Love Not War Maya

Variations on the trusty bullet vibrator are a dime a dozen these days. This simple and classic design is popular for a reason but, though countless retailers and manufacturers of sex toys have churned out their own version, good bullets are still not the easiest things to find.

There’s the market-leading We-Vibe Tango, of course. The £27 powerhouse from Blush that goes on every sex date with me because it gets me off so damn reliably. A few other decent options. But overall, there are a lot of weak and buzzy and just plain lacklustre bullet vibes out there, with price not always correlating to quality.

That’s why, when lovely sustainable sex toy brand Love Not War (purveyors of such excellent products as the Meile and Koi) reached out and asked me to write them a post for Orgasm Week, I immediately knew I wanted to try out the Maya bullet vibrator.

Love Not War Maya: Sustainably Sexy

Love Not War is a manufacturer dedicated to tackling the wastefulness of the mainstream sex toy industry and bringing more sustainable, planet-friendly alternatives to our bedrooms. All their products come with the same rechargeable battery base and heads you can purchase separately, meaning you only need one set of electronics to enjoy numerous different toys.

Love Not War Maya

Love Not War use as few materials as possible, mostly FDA-grade silicone (with leftovers recycled or reused) and recycled aluminium. Even their packaging is eco-friendly, using natural brown card, soy ink, and environmentally friendly glue. And if something goes wrong, they’ll repair the toy if possible and recycle it if not. Pretty impressive, no? You can read more about Love Not War’s sustainability credentials here.

The Love Not War Maya is a bullet vibrator measuring 4.7″ in length and 0.88″ in diameter. It is made from aluminium which, yes, is a body-safe material! The metal gives it a nice weight (though much lighter than stainless steel, the other metal commonly used for sex toys.)

Love Not War Maya

It is an attractive colour that is… not exactly rose gold, but that’s the closest thing I can think to compare it to. It’s stamped with the Love Not War logo. The brushed aluminium feels absolutely gorgeous in my hand, cool and sleek and smooth. It’s also perfect for temperature play. Just run it under warm or cold water before use (or pop it in the fridge for a few minutes.)

The Love Not War Maya is rechargeable (cable included), waterproof, and travel lockable. It comes with an included drawstring storage pouch, which is a nice extra.

Love Not War Maya

In Use

The Love Not War Maya isn’t the smallest bullet vibrator in the world, so if a very petite size is important to you then you might want to look elsewhere. Due to its slightly larger size, though, I actually find it easier to hold and operate than many of its tinier counterparts.

The Maya’s single button is situated at its base. This button is easy to find with your finger and easy to press. Simply short-press to turn it on and to scroll through the ten settings, then long-press to turn it off. I don’t love a single-button interface, personally. Ten settings is a lot to scroll through to find the one you like! So that’s a little annoying.

Love Not War Maya

It is, however, pretty much the only significant complaint I can make about this overall excellent toy. The Maya’s gently tapering tip is perfect for precision clitoral stimulation, while its body is wide enough for a satisfying all-over buzz if I lay it flat against my vulva. It’s unobstrusive enough to slide between bodies during penetrative sex, if that’s your thing.

Love Not War Maya

Best of all, the Maya is powerful. Its vibrations don’t quite meet my definition of truly rumbly, but they are also far from buzzy. Its power rivals many vibrators that are both far bigger and more expensive. There are four constant vibration settings (the highest is absolutely dreamy) as well as six patterns to choose from. The Maya is also quiet enough to be non-distracting and discreet.

Verdict

I love this vibrator! The Maya is sleek, sexy, sustainable, and powerful. It’s easy to use and, while not the smallest, still easy to throw in my bag for a date night or weekend away. It’s going right on the list of the best bullet vibrators I have ever tried.

The Love Not War Maya retails for £69.99 but LNW are currently offering 40% off for Orgasm Week while stocks last!

Sex Toy Advent Calendar 2022 Day 9: Crystal Butt Plug

Crystal butt plug by Lovehoney

Product Info

  • Material: Aluminium and acrylic
  • Colour: Gold with a purple jewel
  • Body safe? Yes, aluminium is a body-safe metal for sex toys as long as you are not allergic/sensitive to this metal
  • Waterproof: Yes
  • Size: 3″ total length, 2.5″ insertable length, 1.1″ diameter at widest point
  • Lube-compatible: Yes, any kind of lube
  • Cleaning: A body-safe sterile wipe, antibacterial soap and water, or a 10% bleach solution. Do not boil or put in the dishwasher as this may cause the glue holding the gem in place to melt

Pros

  • Super pretty and with a purple gem – my favourite colour!
  • Small, non-threatening size makes it friendly for beginners
  • Rigid material means you get a lot of sensation from a small toy
  • Can be warmed up or cooled down for versatile, temperature-based play

Cons

  • Rigid base can dig in after a while, making it uncomfortable (and unlikely to be suitable for all-day wear)
  • There was already a little damage on the gem when I unboxed it, cheapening the overall look

Verdict

A cute, beginner-friendly crystal butt plug ideal for anyone curious about using metal toys for the first time. Its body-safe material and flared base mean you can enjoy it with confidence. Pro tip: if anal play feels really intense, coupling it with stimulation of your clitoris or penis can massively enhance the pleasure.

Lovehoney Sex Toy Advent Calendar Door #10: Jewelled Butt Plug

Update 04/03/22: this product is seasonal only and has been discontinued. Individual components may still be available.

Here we are, already 10 days into my adventure through Lovehoney’s “Best Sex of Your Life” sex toy advent calendar. I’m opening the doors one by one and reviewing each product inside. We’ve had vibes, kink products, butt toys, and more. What’s coming up today?

Door #10: Jewelled Butt Plug

Description of jewelled butt plug in Lovehoney sex toy advent calendar

Today’s door contains the second anal toy in this collection so far: a metal jewelled butt plug.

  • Material: “Metal” (unspecified, likely an alloy of some description.)
  • Colour: Gold body with a red gem base.
  • Body safe? Likely yes. Metal toys are non-porous and broadly non-toxic. Many metal alloy toys contain nickel, though, so avoid it if you’re allergic or sensitive.
  • Power: N/A
  • Waterproof: Yes, submersible.
  • Size: 3″ in total length, 1.1″ in diameter at widest point.
  • Lube compatible: Yes, water-based, oil-based, or silicone-based lubes are all fine.
  • Cleaning: A body-safe medical wipe or a 10% bleach solution. I wouldn’t boil it as this might damage the glue holding the gem in place.
Jewelled butt plug gem base

This plug is surprisingly light for a metal piece, so don’t go in expecting the heft and weight of a stainless steel toy. Its classic butt plug shape with tapered tip makes it easy to insert and comfortable to wear, while the narrow neck and broad base hold it safely and securely in place. You might find that the base digs into your butt cheeks after a while, so this probably isn’t a plug for all-day wear.

The bright red gem in the base is super pretty if you (like me) enjoy sparkly things. The red and gold colour scheme matches the rest of the set’s aesthetic and is pleasingly seasonal.

Hot (or cold) tip: experiment with temperature by popping your plug in the fridge for a few minutes or running it under warm water before use. Just remember that for anal play, tonnes of lube is essential.

A cute and playful plug for beginners to anal play or anyone who enjoys smaller yet rigid butt toys.

[Toy Review] Doxy x Lovehoney Die Cast 3R

As a devoted and long-term Doxy fangirl, I was delighted to see they’d teamed up with the good folks at Lovehoney to produce a limited edition version of the Die Cast 3R wand vibrator. The fact that it’s purple? Well, that’s just the icing on top of this very sexy cake! Let’s find out how I got on with the Doxy x Lovehoney Die Cast 3R, shall we?

What is the Doxy x Lovehoney Die Cast 3R?

This toy is a limited edition variation on Doxy’s very popular 3R. Modelled on the full-size Doxy Die Cast, it’s a miniature, rechargeable version. Measuring 11 inches long and with a head measuring 1.8″ in diameter, it features a gorgeous hand-finished aluminium body and a body-safe silicone head. The body is an absolutely stunning shade of purple that sparkles and shimmers when it catches the light.

Doxy Die Cast and Doxy Die Cast 3R for comparison

The head unscrews, making for easy cleaning (helpful, since the Die Cast 3R is not waterproof). This also means you can pair your Die Cast 3R with any of Doxy’s 3R model attachments to turn it into a prostate massager or rabbit vibrator.

The Die Cast 3R comes with a screw-top aluminium case. This makes it feel that little bit more swanky and luxurious, as well as protecting against damage in storage or transit.

The Die Cast 3R’s charging and run time is really its one big let-down. With four hours charge time to one hour of running time, this is a toy you need to plan ahead to use. As someone who can easily have multiple orgasms with this toy, a longer running time would be very welcome.

Doxy Die Cast 3R for Doxy review

Oh, and a quick pro tip: check out the instructions the first time you use your Die Cast 3R, because mine came with the travel lock enabled which was temporarily confusing!

The Die Cast 3R in use

Fair warning: though it’s smaller than its full-sized companion, the Doxy x Lovehoney Die Cast 3R is still a heavy beast of a toy. The tapering handle is comfortable to hold but, if hefty weighted toys are challenging for you, this might be one to skip.

The Doxy x Lovehoney Die Cast 3R features the same convenient three-button interface as other products in the Doxy massager range. The buttons are large, responsive, and easy to press. They also light up, making this toy ideal for use in low lighting. You can turn the power up and down by either pressing or press-holding the plus and minus buttons.

Doxy wand buttons for Doxy vibrator review

If noise is a concern for you, this toy might be a better choice for you than a full-sized wand vibrator. Though it’s not exactly what I would call quiet, you do lose some of the noise thanks to the smaller size.

My experience

The main reason I love my Doxy Original and Doxy Die Cast so much is this: they’re knock-your-socks-off powerful. In the right mood, a Doxy can take me from cold to orgasm in less than 5 minutes (no mean feat for someone whose motor usually takes far longer than that to get going, so to speak). Did the Die Cast 3R match up?

Doxy wand insignia on magic wand massager

The short answer is yes. This version might be smaller, but it packs a similar level of power to its full-sized, mains-powered counterpart. With that said, the vibrations do feel different, which I attribute to the smaller head on this toy. They’re focused into a smaller space, offering more direct stimulation instead of the very broad rumble you get from a full-sized wand.

The Doxy x Lovehoney Die Cast 3R offers a slightly less rumbly sensation compared to the Doxy Original or Die Cast. Even so, the vibrations on this thing are incredible. It can reliably get me off in minutes.

Now that we’re starting to go to kink events and sex clubs again, having a cordless version of my favourite toy will be very welcome. No more scouting around the dungeon for power outlets required!

Verdict: is it worth it?

If you’re looking for a cordless or travel-friendly wand vibrator without compromising on power, the Die Cast 3R is a no-brainer.

What if, like me, you’re a dedicated Doxy fan and considering adding this one to your collection? Is it worth it? In my view, yes. The Die Cast 3R is notably different from the full-sized Doxy Die Cast in a number of ways, most especially the concentration of the vibrations into a smaller head and the difference in sensation that provides. The slightly greater ease of use is also a plus.

Overall, I’m happy to give the Doxy x Lovehoney Die Cast 3R a glowing recommendation. It packs a hell of a lot of power into its sleek, sparkly package and has already earned its place among my go-to vibes.

This toy retails for £149.99 ($199.99), which is the same price as the full-size Die Cast. It’s more expensive than both the Doxy Original (£89.99) and the corded Doxy Number 3 (£129.99). You’re paying a premium for the cordless option, but that will be worth it for some people.

[Toy Review] Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug

[Update: this product has been discontinued. However, many similar variations are available here (UK) and here (US)]

Sex In Full Colour in honour of Pride month continues! This month I’ve partnered with Lovehoney to bring you some reviews of some beautiful, bright and colourful pieces to help you bring the rainbow into your bedroom. Let’s take a closer look at the super-sparkly Jewelled Metal Butt Plug.

Bedazzle Your Booty with the Jewelled Metal Butt Plug

The Jewelled Metal Butt Plug from Lovehoney is 3.5″ in total length, of which 3″ is insertable length. It is made of a shiny metal that is silver in colour and reflective (more on the material in a minute.) It weighs in at a hefty 240g and measures 1.4″ in diameter at the widest point.

Sparkly jewelled butt plug from Lovehoney

This jewelled plug is adorned in the base with a sparkly gem that catches the light and shines with different colours. The most prominent colours are green, yellow-gold, and blue. In fact, the effect is similar to the surface of the Irridescent Anal Beads I tried last week. It’s striking and beautiful.

The Jewelled Metal Butt Plug is suitable for use in water.

Tell Me More About this Metal?

The Jewelled Metal Butt Plug from Lovehoney is made from a zinc alloy. This isn’t actually listed on the site (it’s just listed as generic “metal”) but is mentioned in the small print on the box.

Metal butt plug metal sex toy

Is zinc alloy body safe? All my research seems to indicate yes, with caveats. “Zinc alloy” means the zinc is mixed with something else, but we don’t know what. Copper and nickel are the most common zinc alloys so, while copper is unlikely to be problematic for most people, nickel can be an issue if you’re sensitive to it.

Zinc alloy is non-porous and non-toxic unless you’re allergic, but won’t have the long-term durability of stainless steel. So don’t expect it to last you a lifetime. The advantage of zinc over stainless steel is that it’s far, far cheaper.

Zinc alloy plugs are easy to clean. I wouldn’t boil sterilise this toy because I’m not sure how the jewel is held in place or if it can withstand high temperatures. It’s best to clean it using a 10% bleach solution (9 parts water to 1 part bleach) and then rinse and dry it thoroughly.

Enough With the Science, How Does it Feel?

The Jewelled Metal Butt Plug slides inside comfortably with plenty of water-based anal lube. The tapered tip and curved, smooth sides make it a breeze to insert, and the narrow neck ensures it stays in place. Unlike some metal plugs I’ve tried, I didn’t feel as though it was about to slip out at any second.

Butt plug base with sparkly jewel

Metal sex toys are particularly fun because they feel super intense. The hard, unyielding material constantly reminds you of its presence every time you move, which can be really sexy. You also really feel the weight of it.

The other fun thing about metal toys is the temperature play potential. The Jewelled Metal Butt Plug retains heat and cold. Put it in the fridge or run it under warm water before use for extra sensations.

Due to the rigidity, I wouldn’t say this is a plug for long-term wear for most people. I found the edges of the base started to be painful against my butt cheeks after a while! For me, this is a “wear for a short time in the bedroom” plug, not a “wear all day” plug.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for an affordable metal plug and not expecting it to last you forever, the Jewelled Metal Butt Plug is a great pick. It retails for an affordable £24.99 ($29.99 US) and will be safe for most people (again, exercise caution if you have a nickel allergy.)

The sparkly jewel in the base is a fun and striking addition if pretty colours and shiny things make you happy. It’s not the smallest, so probably best for anal players with some experience.

[Toy Review] Njoy Pure Wand

I very rarely buy sex toys these days. One of the major perks of running a sex toy review blog is that I get toys sent to me for free, usually several times per month. And when it comes to masturbating purely for pleasure rather than for reviewing purposes, I tend to return to a few trusty favourite toys again and again.

I say all this so you appreciate how unusual at is for me to actually buy a sex toy for myself just because I want it. But I’ve had my eyes on the Njoy Pure Wand for years so, when it was on significant discount in Lovehoney’s Black Friday sale, I decided to take the plunge and get one.

I might be the last sex blogger in the world to try this thing, but Late To The Party is practically my middle name, so… let’s go!

What is the Njoy Pure Wand?

The Njoy Pure Wand is something of a legend in the sex toy world. It is a super-hefty, super-shiny, C-shaped stainless steel dildo. Cast in 316 grade steel and measuring 8″ end-to-end and 10″ along the curve, this is an absolute beast of a toy. This is genuinely in the don’t-take-it-on-a-plane-because-they-might-think-it’s-a-weapon category!

Njoy Pure Wand in its box

The Pure Wand features two bulbed ends, one larger (5.5″ circumference) and one smaller (3″ circumference.)

The Njoy Pure Wand arrived packaged in a sleek and sturdy Njoy-branded box, lined with black velvety material and pink satin. It’s a nice presentation touch and also a convenient way to store your toy.

A Steel Sex Toy!?

Stainless steel is non-porous, body-safe, and designed to last a lifetime. It’s also beautiful to look at and feels incredible in use (more on that in a minute.) It is compatible with any type of lube, and is basically indestructible. So yes, the Njoy Pure Wand is pricey at £129.99 full price ($149.99 US) but it is a true investment piece.

Njoy Pure Wand stainless steel dildo

You can heat up a stainless steel toy by running it under warm water before you play, or cool it down by popping it in the fridge (not the freezer) for a few minutes.

Stainless steel dildos are also incredibly easy to clean. Just use a sterile wipe or 10% bleach solution, followed by a rinse with gentle soap and warm water.

A Note on Squirting

The Njoy Pure Wand has a reputation for being the toy to make people with vulvas squirt.

It’s worth noting that squirting isn’t something that all vulva-owning bodies are capable of. It’s also worth noting that it’s not even something everyone wants! Personally I’ve never squirted, and I don’t actually know if my body is capable of it or not. I’d like to experience it, but I’m also not super attached to the idea. If it happens it happens, y’know?

Njoy pure Wand stainless steel dildo

So did the Njoy Pure Wand make me squirt? No. At least not so far. But did it feel absolutely incredible? Yes yes yes.

Pure Wand in Use

Despite lusting after it for years, I was a little nervous when it came to actually using the Njoy Pure Wand. Stainless steel is rigid, unyielding, and has a reputation for being incredibly intense as a sex toy material.

We actually started with the larger end as we were using the toy in preparation for a fisting scene.

This is a toy that requires a LOT of lube. Stainless steel looks smooth, but can feel quite “grabby” when you come to insert it. Since it’s so hard and rigid, lube will just make the whole experience so much more comfortable. We used Sliquid Sassy, which is super thick and long-lasting, but whatever lube you prefer will work fine.

The Njoy Pure Wand is INTENSE. Like seriously, seriously intense. Its pressure against my G-spot made me feel like I wanted to orgasm and pee all at the same time. (I’m told this is what the precursor to squirting can feel like, but it didn’t happen for me.)

It made me make noises that didn’t sound like anything I’ve ever heard from myself before, and it brought me to a purely G-spot orgasm more quickly and easily than anything has since I started taking antidepressants.

I needed aftercare after using this thing. That isn’t something that often happens when I play with toys.

So Do I Recommend It?

Fuck yes… with caveats.

I am absolutely in love with this dildo. I also recognise that it won’t be for everyone. If you like intense G-spot or prostate stimulation and can use hard toys comfortably (or enjoy a little bit of discomfort) then the Njoy Pure Wand will probably rock your world.

[Toy Review] Doxy Die Cast

I didn’t actually get the Doxy Die Cast as a review unit. I bought it from my friend LSB But, being the ultimate Doxy Fangirl, I thought you guys might be interested in knowing what I thought.

Holy shit, you guys.

Holy. Shit.

For those who are new here and/or have been living on the moon, what is the Doxy Die Cast?

Doxy is a British company based in Cornwall, launched in 2013 to be England’s answer to the famed (not-actually-Hitachi-any-more) Magic Wand. It’s safe to say they met and exceeded that goal, as their products are now sold and renowned globally.

The Doxy Die Cast is functionally very similar to the Doxy Original, with two significant differences:

  • The body is metal, specifically an aluminium/titanium alloy (as opposed to the ABS plastic of the Original.)
  • The head cover is made of firmer silicone, giving the vibrations a slightly different feel.

Stats & things

The Doxy Die Cast is a large, hefty and heavy beast of a toy that means business. It is 37cm long with a head diameter of 6cm, and weighs 690g. This toy is operated via plugging in to the mains, and the cable is 3 metres (10 feet) long, so don’t worry if your bed isn’t next to an outlet!

Your Doxy Die Cast comes with a sturdy, zip-up case which is ideal for both transporting it and keeping it safe in storage.

The Doxy Die Cast’s head is rigid and made of black silicone, which is non-porous and totally body-safe. All Doxy products are non-waterproof. You can clean your wand with a damp (NOT wet) cloth and some gentle detergent, and sterilise it with a body-safe medical wipe. And don’t forget that, if you’re sharing it, you can stretch a condom over the wand head for STI protection.

The Doxy Die Cast is absurdly beautiful. I can’t stop looking at it and stroking it. It comes in four standard colourways: brushed natural aluminium (silver,) black, purple, and red. All of these variations retail for £149.99 ($224.99 US). There’s also a matte black version with a 24K gold collar which retails for £199.99, and you can even custom-order a version completely plated in 24K gold if you want to spend ten grand on a sex toy.

Mine is purple and it’s the most gorgeously bright, vibrant colour.

User interface

All Doxy wand massagers run on a simple three-button interface. There’s an on/off button, and increase/decrease buttons. It really couldn’t be simpler. There’s also a pulse mode, which you can access by holding down the on/off button.

The buttons are large and easy to press. Unlike the Original wand, the Doxy Die Cast has LED-lit buttons for easy use in the dark.

To Die (Cast) for?

I knew I was going to love this toy. I’ve been a Doxy fan for years, ever since Mr CK bought me my (much-loved and still going strong 5 years later) Doxy Original for my 25th birthday. There’s really no way the Die Cast wouldn’t live up to expectations.

Holy fucking shit, I love this thing. The power is INTENSE. The Doxy Die Cast motor is capable of 3000 to 9000 RPM and, thanks to the rigidity of the head, that power manifests as deep and penetrating rumbles. I used this on the second setting, through my clothing, and it still got me off in minutes.

Not just for clits! (And other pro tips.)

The Doxy massager range were all designed with clitoral stimulation in mind, and they do a damn fine job of it. But why stop there? If you have a penis, vibrations can also feel intensely pleasurable. Try holding the wand against the underside of your cock, or running it over your whole genital area.

Just a few other ways you might want to use your Doxy:

  • Pair it with a wand attachment, such as a penis stroker or a rabbit attachment.
  • Press it against the base of a dildo or butt plug for intense internal stimulation.
  • If holding the Doxy for long periods of time is uncomfortable or difficult for you, consider using a wand mount to hold it in place. Another option is to stack a couple of pillows, put the wand on them, and lie on top of it. The pillows and your body weight will keep it in place.

Get creative! There are always numerous ways to use a sex toy.

So do I recommend it?

Oh my god, get one get one get one. You’ll thank me.

Now if you’ll excuse me, you’ll find me melted in a puddle of post-orgasmic bliss.
