[Toy Review] Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo

Funzze is a relatively new brand on my radar, having only previously tried one of their toys at the time of writing. However, they do have some interesting things in their catalogue, so I was happy to agree to doing another set of reviews.

This week, we’re looking at the Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo.

Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo Details

The Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo is described as “a stainless steel G spot dildo with a sinuous shape, equipped with 2 insertable ends that offer different sensations.” That’s a pretty accurate summary. (Sinuous, FYI, means “having many curves and turns” and is just a very pleasing word to say.)

Funzze double-ended stainless steel dildo

One end of the dildo is a smooth curve with a bulbed head, and the other end has four rippling beads. The Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo measures 8.5″ end to end and a slimline 1.5″ in diameter at the widest part of the beads.

In terms of comparisons, it’s somewhat similar to the famous Njoy Fun Wand. However, the curve is less pronounced, the bulbs flow together rather than being completely distinct and separate pieces, and the head is a different shape. As such, I feel comfortable calling this a similar design rather than a copycat or a ripoff. At the end of the day, there are a lot of similar toys out there from different manufacturers and true innovation is rare in this industry.

Let’s Talk About Stainless Steel for a Minute

This toy is made of 304 grade stainless steel, which is a hardwearing, non-porous, and body-safe material. You can use it in water, boil-wash it to sterilise, and use it with any kind of lube you like.

304 is a cheaper alternative to 316 stainless steel, which contains higher levels of the element molybdenum. Molybdenum increases the corrosion resistance of stainless steel as well as increasing its heat resistance at high temperatures, neither of which are likely to be particularly relevant for sex toy use under normal circumstances.

Both 304 and 316 stainless steel contain some amount of nickel, a common allergen. Interestingly, according to the Nickel Institute, there’s a sex difference in play here. This organisation says that 15-16% of women but only around 4-5% of men suffer from nickel allergic contact dermatitis (NACD).

So is 304 stainless steel safe if you have a nickel allergy? The information I could find on this one was mixed. Some sources state that 304 and 316 stainless steels are effectively hypoallergenic. The Nickel Institute says:

For example, nickel-containing stainless steels are used by high quality watch manufacturers. Such high quality stainless steels contain 9% to 28% nickel but do not release sufficient amounts of nickel to cause a nickel allergy.

Some additional sources agree that the risk is minimal. Others, however, state that stainless steels can cause an allergic reaction in people with a nickel allergy. The sources I consulted were even mixed on whether or not 304 and 316 stainless steels were safe for use in body piercing.

Ultimately, you will need to decide on your own safety profile and level of acceptable risk. Personally, given that it will be inserted into highly sensitive areas of the body and make contact with mucus membranes, I wouldn’t risk using a stainless steel dildo if you have a nickel allergy. If you feel comfortable with the risk or know from experience that these toys are okay for you, though, have at it.

What I Liked About the Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo

Funzze double-ended stainless steel dildo

With all of that said, it was time to dive into trying out the Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo. Let’s look at the things I liked about it first.

  • The double-ended design means that this stainless steel dildo is essentially two toys in one. As such, it offers a variety of different sensations to explore.
  • I love the slim shaft. Due to their hardness, stainless steel toys can be seriously intense, even for experienced users. Too much girth would make this toy either uncomfortable or just unusable for me, so the slender design is perfect.
  • The pronounced head on the smoother end is ideal for targeting the G-spot or prostate, while the rippled end is fantastic for lovers of texture. (Pro tip: if thrusting with this toy is too intense for you or feels uncomfortable, try either wiggling it very gently or just holding it in place and allowing your body’s muscles to contract around it.)
  • The weight! One of the things that makes stainless steel so irresistible for sex toys is the sheer heft it offers. While this can make use more challenging for some, it also offers amazing pay-off in terms of how the toy feels. If you want intensity and lots of it, you’ve come to the right place.
  • Stainless steel conducts temperature better than almost any other sex toy material. Want to play with some different sensations? Run your toy under warm water or pop it in the fridge for a few minutes before playing.
  • It arrived in cardboard packaging (recyclable and minimising single-use plastic) and comes with a storage bag included.
  • It’s quick and easy to clean.
  • It retails for $69.99 (around £54), which is super good value for a stainless steel toy of this size.

Inevitably, I’m going to be asked if this toy is anal-safe. I’m a little torn on this one, because it does not technically have a large flared base. So after much deliberation, I’m settling on “probably.” It’s most likely fine as long as you use one end as a handle and insert no more than 50% of the toy at a time. Realistically, it’s also large and heavy enough that the entire toy isn’t going to get sucked up inside you without some serious effort. However, due to the shape, I advise against doing very deep penetration with this one.

Anything I Didn’t Like?

I really have no major criticisms of this product. Overall it’s a great design, excellent value, and a pleasure to use.

The finish on this dildo isn’t as perfectly smooth and shiny as you’ll find on some of the higher end stainless steel toys on the market. However, it’s also quite significantly less expensive than the prices that some of the more well-known and premium brands charge.

In a perfectly ideal world I would have preferred a slightly more pronounced curve, particularly to the smoother end of the dildo. This would make it more effective for very targeted G-spot or prostate stimulation. However, this is really more a matter of personal preference than a criticism of the toy. Bodies are all different, and this toy’s gentle curve will be ideal for some users.

Verdict

When I initially saw this toy, I was a little sceptical due to the relatively low price. However, the Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo is an excellent product and an affordable alternative to some of those high-ticket toys that are out of reach for many would-be users.

The Funzze Double-Ended Stainless Steel Dildo retails for $69.99.

[Toy Review] Doxy Die Cast 3R

Update 2025: I received the limited-edition purple version of the Doxy Die Cast 3R rechargeable wand, produced in partnership with Lovehoney, which is no longer available. However, apart from the colour, the actual product reviewed here is identical to current iterations.

As a devoted and long-term Doxy fan, I was delighted to receive the new Die Cast 3R cordless version of their iconic wand vibrator to test and review.

Doxy Die Cast 3R: Introduction

Modelled on the full-size Die Cast wand, the Doxy Die Cast 3R is a miniature, rechargeable version. Here’s how they compare in size:

Doxy Die Cast and Doxy Die Cast 3R for comparison

The Die Cast 3R measures 11″ in length and the head measures 1.8″ in diameter. It features a stylish aluminium body and a body-safe silicone head. This toy weights 328g according to Doxy. This is just over 2.5 times less than the 869g of the full-size Die Cast.

I love the purple version I received, but the smart matte black standard version is just as gorgeous. Some suppliers also offer fun colourways and patterns from hot pink to tiger stripes to roses and beyond.

The head unscrews, making it easy to clean. This is helpful, since the Die Cast 3R is not waterproof. It also allows you to pair your toy with any of Doxy’s 3/3R attachments, such as this clitoral attachment and this penis masturbator attachment.

The Doxy Die Cast 3R also has a travel lock. Pro tip: mine came with this enabled, which confused me for a minute, so if you’re having trouble turning the toy on this is probably the issue.

Doxy Die Cast 3R in Use: Pros

The main reason I love wand vibrators and reach for my Doxy Original and Doxy Die Cast so much is, of course, that they’re knock-your-socks-off powerful. When I’m having a low-sensitivity day, when my medication’s sexual side effects are getting in the way of my pleasure, when a shitty buzzy vibrator has numbed out my clit, or when I just want to get off quickly and get on with my day, they can be relied upon to get the job done quickly.

Did the Doxy Die Cast 3R match up? The short answer is “yes… sort of.”

According to Doxy’s convenient comparison chart, this toy has half the power of the Die Cast (its flagship and most powerful wand.) However, in a toy this size, that 50% still packs a serious punch. You still get intense, powerful, rumbly vibes and lots of them.

It’s also worth noting that the vibrations do feel different to the full-sized Doxy wands. This is likely due to the smaller head size. As the vibrations are focused into a smaller area, you get more direct intense stimulation instead of the broad, all-over rumble you get from a full-sized wand.

If noise is a concern for you, a petite wand like this one could be a better choice for you than a full-sized wand vibrator. Though it’s not exactly what I would call truly quiet, you do lose some of the volume thanks to its smaller size.

The Doxy Die Cast 3R features the same convenient three-button interface as other products in the Doxy wand range. The buttons are large and light up, making this toy ideal for use in low lighting. You can turn the power up and down by either pressing or press-holding the plus and minus buttons. (Dual directional speed controls? We love to see it!)

Doxy Die Cast 3R Rechargeable in Use: Cons

If the Doxy Die Cast 3R has one major let-down, it’s this: its charging and run time. A full charge takes four hours and gives only one hour of use. In reality, that means this is a toy you might need to plan ahead to use. If you’re someone who can have multiple orgasms and wants to get off several times in one session, this might be a downside.

Verdict: Is it Worth the Cost?

If you’re looking for a cordless or travel-friendly wand vibrator that still offers virtually unbeatable intensity, the Doxy Die Cast 3R is a no-brainer. The rechargeable 3R is more expensive than both the Doxy Original and the Doxy Number 3 corded. You’re paying a premium for the rechargeable option, but some people will find this worth it.

While I do prefer the extra kick of the Die Cast Original’s superior motor, the 3R is a great alternative when I’m travelling, don’t have the energy to hold such a heavy toy, or can’t be bothered to scout around for power outlets at a play party.

The concentration of the vibrations into a smaller head is also a good choice if you’re looking for something a little less broad than a full-sized wand. Overall, I’m happy to give the Doxy Die Cast 3R a glowing recommendation.

The Doxy Die Cast 3R retails for £149.99-£209.99 UK or $219.99-$239.99 US. It is available from retailers such as toy Lovehoney UK, Lovehoney US (use my code AFF-COFFKINK10 on any Lovehoney site to get 10% off your entire purchase), Babeland, Good Vibes, The Pleasure Garden, Shevibe, and Sex Toys UK.

[Toy Review] Njoy Pure Wand

I very rarely buy sex toys these days; one of the big perks of running a sex toy review blog. But I’ve had my eyes on the Njoy Pure Wand for ages so, when it was on significant discount in Lovehoney’s Black Friday sale, I decided to go ahead and get one so I could finally test and review it.

Njoy Pure Wand: Details

The Njoy Pure Wand is something of a legend in the sex toy world, and I’ve been wanting to review it for years. It is a super-hefty, super-shiny, C-shaped stainless steel dildo. Cast in 316 grade steel and measuring 8″ end-to-end and 10″ along the curve, this is an absolute beast of a toy. This is genuinely in the don’t-take-it-on-a-plane-because-they-might-think-it’s-a-weapon category!

Njoy Pure Wand in its box

The Pure Wand features two bulbed ends, one larger (5.5″ circumference) and one smaller (3″ circumference.)

The Njoy Pure Wand arrived packaged in a sleek and sturdy Njoy-branded box, lined with black velvety material and pink satin. It’s a nice presentation touch and also a convenient way to store your toy.

A Note on Steel Toys

Stainless steel is non-porous, body-safe, and designed to last a lifetime. It’s also beautiful to look at and feels incredible in use (more on that in a minute.) It is compatible with any type of lube, and is basically indestructible. So yes, the Njoy Pure Wand is pricey but it is a true investment piece.

Stainless steel dildos are also incredibly easy to clean. Just use a sterile wipe or 10% bleach solution, followed by a rinse with gentle soap and warm water.

You can heat up a stainless steel toy by running it under warm water before you play, or cool it down by popping it in the fridge for a few minutes.

A Note on Squirting

Read almost any review of the Njoy Pure Wand, and you’ll see mention of squirting. This product has a reputation for being the toy to make people with vulvas ejaculate, or “squirt.”

I wanted to address this because it’s important to keep expectations realistic. Squirting isn’t something all bodies are capable of. It’s also not something everyone wants. I’ve never done it, and while I’m moderately curious what it would feel like, it’s not a goal I am actively chasing. If it happens it happens, you know?

So did the Njoy Pure Wand make me squirt? No. At least not so far. Regardless of whether it does or not for you, that’s okay.

Njoy Pure Wand Review: In Use

Despite lusting after it for years, I was a little nervous when it came to actually using the Njoy Pure Wand. Stainless steel is rigid, unyielding, and has a reputation for being incredibly intense as a sex toy material.

This is a toy that requires a LOT of lube. Stainless steel looks smooth, but can feel quite “grabby” when you come to insert it. Since it’s so hard and rigid, lube will just make the whole experience so much more comfortable. Water-based or silicone-based lubes are compatible with steel toys.

The Njoy Pure Wand is intense. Like seriously, seriously intense. Its pressure against my G-spot made me feel like I wanted to orgasm and pee all at the same time. (I’m told this is what the precursor to squirting can feel like, but it didn’t happen for me.)

Verdict

I absolutely love this dildo. I also recognise that it won’t be for everyone.

If you like intense G-spot or prostate stimulation and can use hard toys comfortably or enjoy a level of overstimulation, then the Njoy Pure Wand will probably rock your world.

The Njoy Pure Wand’s RRP is £149.99/$179.99 and it is available from retailers such as Lovehoney UK, Lovehoney US, Shevibe, Good Vibes, and Babeland.

[Toy Review] Doxy Die Cast

I’ve been a pretty major Doxy fangirl ever since I received my first Doxy wand as a 25th birthday gift. (What can I say? Mr C&K is a keeper!) So naturally I wasn’t going to turn down the opportunity to review the Doxy Die Cast, the metal version of the iconic wand.

And holy fuck, y’all.

Doxy Die Cast Wand Massager: Details

Doxy, a British company based in Cornwall, launched in 2013 to be the UK’s answer to the famed Magic Wand, AKA the Hitachi. It’s safe to say they met and exceeded that goal, as Doxy products are now sold and renowned globally.

Image: Doxy

The Doxy Die Cast is a large, mains-powered wand vibrator. Though similar in design to the Doxy Original, it differs in a few key ways. First, the body is made of metal, and specifically an aluminium/titanium alloy. Second, the head cover is made of a firm silicone. According to the manufacturer, the Doxy Die Cast wand vibrates at speeds of 3000-9000 RPM and offers 56% more intensity than the Doxy Original and 125% more than the Die Cast 3.

Is this the most powerful wand vibrator ever created? It might be.

The Doxy Die Cast measures 37 cm in length. It has a a head diameter of 6 cm, and weighs a hefty 690g. The cable is 3 metres (10 feet) long.

Mine came in a sturdy, zip-up case which is ideal for both transporting it and keeping it safe in storage. However, I believe this was limited edition and they’re now shipped with a storage bag instead. All Doxy products are non-waterproof.

Doxy Die Cast Review: Why I Love This Wand So Much

The Doxy Die Cast is absurdly beautiful. I can’t stop looking at it. There are multiple colourways available, and occasional limited-edition special drops. You can also request a custom wand, if you like. Mine is purple and it’s the most gorgeously bright, vibrant colour.

The Doxy Die Cast Wand Massager in purple in its case

It has a simple three-button interface, with up/down speed controls. These buttons are easy to press and have LED lights, making them easy to see in low-light environments.

The Doxy Die Cast’s neck is slightly flexible for comfort and easy positioning, but not so flexible it’s impossible to get any decent pressure from it. I can press it firmly into my vulva without it moving annoyingly away.

Most importantly of all, of course, is the power. I could feel every one of those incredible 9000 RPM through the Doxy’s firm silicone head (and surprisingly few of them through the handle, which was a pleasant surprise!) It’s not only strong, but so deeply rumbly that the Doxy Die Cast can get me off through my clothing in a matter of minutes.

Not Just for Clits (And Other Pro Tips)

The Doxy Die Cast was designed with clitoral stimulation in mind, and it does a damn fine job of it. But why stop there? If you have a penis, vibrations can also be intensely pleasurable. Try holding the wand against the underside of your cock, or running it over your whole genital area.

You might also try…

  • …pairing it with a wand attachment, such as a penis stroker or a G-spot attachment
  • …pressing it against the base of a dildo or butt plug for intense internal stimulation
  • …using a wand mount to hold it in place. This can be particularly helpful if the Doxy Die Cast is too heavy for you to hold for long periods of time. For a makeshift version, stack a couple of pillows, put the wand on them, and straddle or lie on top of it. The pillows and your body weight will anchor it in place.

Get creative! There are always numerous ways to use a sex toy.

Doxy Die Cast: Verdict

I knew I was going to love this product, and I love it even more than I expected to. Ten thousand out of ten, Doxy. No notes.

The Doxy Die Cast is available from retailers such as Shevibe, Good Vibes, Babeland, Lovehoney US, Sex Toys UK, and The Pleasure Garden.
