[Toy Review] Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Wand Vibrator

It’s May (where has the year gone so far!?) and that means it’s Masturbation Month! I’m pleased to be working with Lovehoney again to bring you a serious of product reviews this month. First up is a very appropriately spring-themed toy: the Happy Rabbit Wand vibrator.

Happy Rabbit Wand Vibrator: Info

Happy Rabbit is Lovehoney’s own-brand range of rabbit vibrators and, based on my experience of the line, they’re damn good. The Happy Rabbit Wand is a little different from its fellow bunnies, though. Instead of following the basic rabbit vibrator dual stimulation design, this is an external vibrator based on the “bunny ears” that you find on most rabbit toys. It’s kind of like a giant version of the Je Joue Rabbit Bullet.

Happy Rabbit Wand rabbit vibrator for clitoral stimulation

The Happy Rabbit Wand is a hefty 10.5″ in length. The handle is gently curved and the head looks like, well, a rabbit head with long ears.

The Happy Rabbit Wand is made of body-safe matte black silicone, with a decorative silver ABS plastic band around the handle. The shaft is fairly rigid (the top half has a tiny bit of flex) and the ears are flexible.

The wand is rechargeable via the included cable, and is waterproof and submersible. It also has a travel lock.

I had high hopes for this toy for two reasons. Firstly, because the external “ears” tend to be my favourite thing about rabbit vibes. Secondly, because I know from experience that Happy Rabbit products tend to be both well-designed and powerful.

Happy Rabbit Wand: Form & Function

The Happy Rabbit Wand Vibrator uses a simple two-button interface. The smaller bottom button turns the toy on and off and switches between speeds, and the larger top button switches between patterns.

Vibrator buttons for Happy Rabbit ears vibrator

This toy has 10 different patterns, each of which you can use on any of three speeds. The patterns button only scrolls through one way, but I can’t bring myself to care all that much because I don’t like patterns anyway. The smaller button allows me to switch the toy on, stick it on the highest constant vibration setting, and leave it there until I’m done. Perfect.

The handle is comfortable to hold and the buttons are intuitively positioned and easy to press. Because they are raised, they’re also easy to feel with your fingers without needing to look.

Let’s Talk About That Motor

The Happy Rabbit Wand is powerful as fuck on the highest setting. Interestingly, there’s a really big jump between the lowest and middle levels, then a smaller jump up to the top level. I guess I’d define them as “very low,” “high,” and “knock your socks off,” respectively.

Best of all, the vibrations are not only powerful but also rumbly and concentrated in the tips of the ears.

Rabbit ears wand vibrator

I found there were two main ways I could use this toy to get off. If I hold it parallel to my body with the head pointing downwards, the ears surround my clit for powerful but indirect stimulation. If I turn it at a 90 degree angle, I can get direct clitoral contact from one or both ears.

The Happy Rabbit Wand can get pretty intense. Though the ears are flexible, the silicone is also dense and firm.

Anything I Didn’t Like?

Honestly, I have no significant negative things to say about this toy. The Happy Rabbit Wand is a stellar product.

It is a little loud, so that’s something to bear in mind if it matters to you. But you’ll always have a trade-off between level of power and level of noise, so I can’t be too critical.

The only other thing worth noting is that the Happy Rabbit Wand is a little heavy which, again, is to be expected for something of this size and power. I still find it easier to hold for lengthy sessions than a full-sized traditional wand.

Verdict

Yes! The Happy Rabbit Wand is everything I hoped it would be, and more. The shape, power, and flexibility of the ears all combine to make my clit very happy indeed. Top marks.

The Happy Rabbit Wand retails for £84.99/$119.99 and is available from Lovehoney UK and Lovehoney US.

[Lingerie Review] Four Lovehoney Bodysuits I Adore and How I Style Them

I don’t often do lingerie reviews any more, as styles come and go so fast, but Lovehoney’s bodysuits are some of the pieces that I come back to again and again. Bodysuits are consistently the most comfortable, most body-friendly, and most versatile items of lingerie for me. Most of them don’t have wires, which is important from both a comfort perspective and because wired pieces are usually woefully inadequate for my G-cup chest.

Let’s talk about four of my favourite bodysuits and some of the ways I style them.

Lovehoney Lingerie Review: Hourglass Open Cup Crotchless Bodysuit

The Lovehoney Hourglass Open Cup Bodysuit is made of black floral lace and microfibre, with an open crotch and removable straps that frame your breasts. It also has removable suspender straps.

This piece, available in UK sizes 6 to 28, is designed to be wearable either on its own or under clothing as “shapewear.” Its stretchy, soft fabrics and adjustable straps make it comfortable to wear. Since this piece is open cup, you don’t need to worry about cup sizes! The Lovehoney Hourglass Bodysuit is a godsend for people like me with large chests; many of the lingerie items I’ve reviewed over the years have been difficult or impossible to wear. You can easily wear this bodysuit either by itself or with a bra.

The aesthetic of the Lovehoney Hourglass Open Cup Bodysuit a kind of femme soft-bondage.

Despite striving to be body-positive and doing continual work on my self-image, there are still parts of my own body that I struggle with. Most notably, I have a complex relationship with my stomach. So pieces that hide the bits of my body I’m less confident about, while emphasising the bits I do love (waist, breasts), are basically the holy grail of lingerie to me. I also adore the way this piece’s lace panels cling to the curve of my hips.

The Hourglass Open-Cup Crotchless Bodysuit retails for £32.99 from Lovehoney UK or $39.99 from Lovehoney US.

Lovehoney Lingerie Review: Fierce Leather-Look Lace-Up Body

Lovehoney’s Fierce range offers a sexy and affordable alternative to expensive materials such as leather and latex. Of all the pieces I’ve reviewed from the Lovehoney Lingerie Fierce range, I find this bodysuit the easiest to wear.

The simple cut of this piece allows the halterneck, lace-up detailing at the hips and cleavage, and shiny fabric to take centre stage. This Lovehoney bodysuit is less adjustable than some of the pieces I’ve covered in this review, but the halterneck style allows for some adjustability. It also makes this piece one of the better options for larger chests.

The Lovehoney Fierce Leather-Look Lace Up Bodysuit is fairly comfortable thanks to its lack of wires or scratchy fabrics. However, like the other pieces in the Fierce range, it can get very hot after a while due to the non-breathable synthetic fabrics.

The Fierce Bodysuit retails for £34.99 from Lovehoney UK or $47.99 from Lovehoney US.

Crotchless Deep Plunge Black Lace Bodysuit Review

I love fishnet. It’s endlessly cool and adds instant sex appeal to any look. I own fishnet tights in several different colours, and this Lovehoney Lingerie mesh bodysuit is one of my favourite pieces I’ve reviewed.

The deep plunge neck of this Lovehoney bodysuit is ideal for those with larger chests. I adore the way it shows off my cleavage while a hint of nipple pokes through the mesh. Another really sexy option is to wear this one with nipple pasties. I also love the thin band around the waist, which lends shape to the piece without pulling too much focus away from the cleavage.

This one size piece is suitable for UK sizes 6-16.

The Lovehoney Mesh Bodysuit is open at the back, framing the butt. Ideal for spanking scenes, if that’s your thing! The tie-up waistband and halterneck make it somewhat adjustable, and the stretchy mesh makes it easy and comfortable to wear. This piece is particularly ideal for play parties in hot venues as it allows my skin to breathe.

The Lovehoney Mesh Bodysuit retails for £16.99 from Lovehoney UK and $22.99 from Lovehoney US.

Late Night Liaison Blue Lace Bodysuit Review

This one piece Lovehoney bodysuit is the only blue piece of lingerie I’ve ever received for review! It is also available in red if that’s more your style. With a plunging neckline and strap detailing around the hips and between the breasts, it also features criss-cross strap detailing at the back and a crotchless G-string gusset.

I absolutely adore the gorgeous, deep midnight blue colour of the Lovehoney Late Night Liaison Bodysuit. This is a relatively unusual colour for lingerie, and it’s nice to see something different.

The delicate floral pattern on the lace is beautiful, and I love the scalloped edges. The straps that sit between the breasts add some interesting detail, and I like the way they draw attention to my cleavage. The extra coverage is also useful for days when I’m not feeling so confident about my stomach.

This piece is available in One Size (UK 6-16) and Plus Size (UK 18-24.)

This isn’t the most forgiving piece for large chests, and I definitely get some nipple slippage when I wear it. I can’t be too upset, though, when it’s so pretty and makes me feel so good to wear. The adjustable straps do help. When Lovehoney Lingerie first sent me this piece to review, I thought I might end up passing it along to a friend. But I ended up keeping it and loving it more than I expected!

The Late Night Liaison Body retails for £29.99 from Lovehoney UK or $36.99 from Lovehoney US.

How to Style a Bodysuit

Of course, the most basic way to wear a bodysuit is on its own. And these pieces are sexy enough that they don’t need anything else. However, whether you enjoy getting dressed up for your partner (or yourself) in the bedroom, are looking for kink party outfit ideas, or are feeling daring in your outfit choice for a night out dancing, there are so many different ways to style a bodysuit.

I’ve worn a bodysuit with sky-high heels and a tiny hat fascinator for a play party, but I’ve also worn the Fierce Leather Look one with a swishy skirt, fun tights, and stompy boots for a night at a vanilla club. I once went to a candy-themed play party wearing the Lovehoney Lingerie Open Cup Bodysuit I reviewed above with candy nipple tassles! And I love the fishnet piece with fishnet tights in a bright colour for a match/contrast effect.

Why not pair your favourite bodysuit with a pair of skinny jeans or skintight leather trousers, throw a blazer or leather jacket over one for a fun casual/glam mash-up, or pair one with an underbust corset? Get creative with it; there’s no wrong answers here. Lingerie is supposed to be fun!

[Toy Review] Tracy’s Dog OG Pro2

The original Tracy’s Dog [1] original clit sucker went viral a couple of years back due to a hilariously lengthy and detailed Amazon review. No matter how long I work as a sex toy reviewer, I will likely never write anything as hilarious as “My legs went straight out like those goats who faint when scared.” I did not try that toy, but I have just received the Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 to review.

What is the Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2?

The Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 is a dual stimulation insertable vibrator and clit sucker. It looks like this:

Tracys Dog OG Pro2 dual stimulation sex toy

The bulb-shaped insertable arm is a basic vibrator, while the external arm provides suction-based clitoral stimulation. Its shape reminds me of wearable toys like the We-Vibe Chorus, only with a much larger internal shaft.

Dual stimulation vibrator from Tracys Dog

The OG Pro 2 is made of soft and body-safe silicone in a minty turquise green. It comes with a charging cable, instruction leaflet, warranty card, some fun stickers, and a purple satin storage bag.

OG Pro2 clitoral vibrator G-spot vibrator suction toy

The toy is USB rechargeable, but the remote control requires a CR2032 battery (included.) The OG Pro 2 is fully waterproof, which makes it easy to clean as well as bath or shower friendly.

Controls and Interface

The OG Pro 2 features a two-button interface on the toy and also comes with a two-button remote control. They work in broadly the same way: one button controls the internal vibrations, the other controls the clitoral sucker.

Clitoral suction toy from OG Pro2

As I often say, I would have liked two-way controls. It’s frustrating having to scroll through all the settings to get back to the one you like. The buttons are responsive, easy to press, and intuitively located on the back of the external arm of the toy. However, I do appreciate being able to control the two motors separately.

When I have the OG Pro 2 inserted, it’s easier to use the remote control rather than the buttons on the toy itself. The remote control is small and light.

Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 Clit Sucker: In Use

I’ll admit that I was a little skeptical about this toy. Dual stimulation toys are very hit and miss for me generally. So how did the Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 fare in use?

Tracys Dog OG Pro2 dual sex toy

Full disclosure: I don’t like internal vibrations. The internal motor has a reasonable level of power, though it’s pretty buzzy, but I quickly realised I enjoyed this toy more when I kept it switched off. The vibrating arm has 3 constant speeds and 7 vibrating patterns.

Though internal vibrations are not really for me, I do like the shape of the OG Pro 2’s insertable portion. It was a gentle curve and a ridged underside. The bulbed head also helps it to stay in place. That means this toy has one major thing to recommend it: I can actually use it hands-free! It stays in place far better than I expected.

The clit sucker portion of this toy has 10 escalating speeds. Personally, the lower five speeds are too gentle to do much for me. But if you prefer gentler stimulation or a slower warm-up, they might suit you just fine. I like to start with speed 6 or 7, and then slowly ramp up and finish at 9 or 10.

Something to be aware of: the clitoral stimulator nozzle is pretty small. If you have a larger clitoris or prefer to have more of your clitoral area covered by the nozzle, this might be an issue for you.

Verdict

A mixed bag, but better than I expected. My body is pretty picky about dual stimulation toys, so I didn’t think this one would do much for me. The internal motor was pretty disappointing. But the good shape, flexible design, and quality clitoral stimulator were all pleasant surprises!

The Tracy’s Dog OG Pro 2 retails for $59.99.

[1] Yeah I’m baffled by this company name, too. Check out their Youtube channel. It is delightfully bizarre.

[Toy Review] Lovehoney x ROMP Switch Suction Clitoral Stimulator

I love many of Womanizer’s products and their suction-based clitoral stimulators are second to none. (Which is probably why so many companies have shamelessly ripped them off since!) But they’re also seriously pricey. Reviewers and fans have been calling for a more affordable version for ages. The ROMP Switch, a collaboration between Lovehoney and ROMP by Womanizer, is a more affordable clit sucker that I recently received to review.

ROMP Switch Clit Sucker: Details

The ROMP Switch is a clitoral suction toy utilising the same trademarked Pleasure Air technology as the rest of the Womanizer range. It came attractively packaged in a branded green box with a picture of the toy on the front:

Lovehoney Womanizer ROMP Switch sex toy packaging

The Switch measures 5″ in length and features a tapered ergonomic handle. Its body is made of ABS plastic in an attractive lilac purple, and its nozzle is made of body-safe silicone. The nozzle is removable for easy cleaning.

ROMP Switch clitoral suction toy

The ROMP Switch is a battery-powered toy, requiring 2 x AAA batteries (included.) You’ll get a seriously impressive 300 minutes (around 5 hours) of runtime out of a set of batteries! For reference, I’ve never had a rechargeable toy last that long on a single charge. The ROMP Switch is splashproof but not waterproof, so bear that in mind if it’s relevant to you.

The ROMP Switch retails for £29.99/$34.99. If you’re specifically looking for a rechargeable toy, you can get the rechargeable ROMP Shine for slightly more.

ROMP Switch Review: Experience

Ultimately, the litmus test for any sex toy is “does it get me off reliably?” In that regard, the ROMP Switch delivers.

Nozzle of clitoral suction vibrator

The shape is good, and the gentle curve means it was easy to get a good seal around my clit with the nozzle. I found it easiest to hold the toy with the handle pointing downwards, but some may find rotating it 90 degrees (so the handle points up towards your stomach) is more comfortable. Experiment and see what works for you.

The ROMP Switch has six power settings, ranging from a gentle lapping up to “powerful” and then “holy shit”. The two-button interface is simple, and features +/- controls so you can change the setting either up or down. The buttons are easy to press, intuitively placed on the front of the toy in the middle, and easy to feel for without looking.

The ROMP Switch’s nozzle is quite firm. Pro tip: put some water-based lube on the toy’s nozzle and/or your body before you get started.

It’s important to note that if you’re used to traditional vibrators, suction clitoral stimulators feel very different. Some people liken it to the feeling of cunnilingus, though I personally don’t experience them as similar. The best way I can describe it is a kind of very rapid tapping sensation on your clit.

The ROMP Switch gets me off every bit as well as many of the more expensive suction toys I’ve reviewed, and better than some. Yes, it’s lean on extra features (for example, it doesn’t offer additional vibrations, patterns, or a fancy silencing function.) But all those things are just that: extras, not essentials. This is a simple but effective toy that does the job it’s designed to do, and does it damn well.

Womanizer ROMP Switch clit sucker with pleasure air technology

If I have one complaint about this toy, it’s the noise. It is noticeably noisier than some of the pricier suction sex toys I’ve used, though the noise is somewhat dampened when it’s pressed against the body. I didn’t find it particularly intrusive or problematic, but it’s something to be aware of if discretion is important to you.

Verdict

If you’ve never tried a clitoral suction toy and you’re curious, you could do a lot worse than the ROMP Switch. Likewise if you’re into that kind of sensation and you’re on a budget. Effective, affordable, and cute. What’s not to like?

The ROMP Switch is available from Lovehoney US, ROMP Europe, ROMP North America, Good Vibes, and Babeland.

[Toy Review] Hot Octopuss Kurve

Every now and then, I get my hands on a sex toy that is so pretty that it delights me just to look at it. Even more occasionally, that toy is as good in function as in form. The new Hot Octopuss Kurve is one such toy. Hot Octopuss kindly sent me the Kurve to review.

Hot Octopuss Kurve: Details

Kurve is a new vibrator for folks with vulvas from Hot Octopuss, pioneers of sex toy innovations. At first glance, it looks like a fairly standard, curved G-spot vibrator. But this toy is so much more than that.

Hot Octopuss Kurve g-spot vibrator

The Kurve features dual-motor Treble and Bass technology, the same patented tech used in the Hot Octopuss Jett. But instead of sitting in two separate pieces, Kurve brings both motors together in one creative package.

As I mentioned, my first impression of the Hot Octopuss Kurve is just how pretty it is. The silicone body is a rich burgundy colour, and the plastic handle fades from burgundy to black. When I held it up to show my partner and metamour on camera, they declared it “essentially the aubergine emoji in a sex toy!”

The Kurve measures 7.5″ in length, 5″ in insertable length, and 1.6″ in diameter. It weighs 189g.

The Kurve is fully waterproof, USB rechargeable via the included cable, and comes with a silky black storage bag with Hot Octopuss branding.

Hot Octopuss Kurve Review: Let’s Talk About That Shape

Curved toys are usually a big hit with me because they’re fabulous for targeted G-spotting. The Hot Octopuss Kurve’s, well, curve is near perfect. Not only that, but the bulbous head is soft and squishy while the rest of the shaft is rigid.

Hot Octopuss Kurve g-spot and clitoral vibrator

Even before we bring the vibes into the equation, Kurve won me over as a G-spotting dildo alone. Bonus: the plastic handle is comfortable and ergonomic to hold and manipulate.

When it comes to curved vibrators, though, I often find myself complaining that the shape is great but the vibrations are shit. Would the same be true of the Kurve?

All About That Bass (and Treble)

So here’s where things get really fun! The Kurve’s unique selling point is based on its two motor “treble and bass” design. What does that mean, exactly? The toy contains two distinct motors. The “treble” vibrates at a high frequency, while the “bass” vibrates at a lower frequency and therefore gives a deeper sensation. In common sex toy reviewer parlance, we might think of the treble as the “buzz” and the bass as the “rumble.”

The beauty of the Hot Octopuss Kurve is that you can use the two motors together or separately, and at different levels. So if you want a little buzz and a lot of rumble or vice-versa, you can do that. If you want a lot of both? One on its own? Yep, that’s available, too.

I’m not a big fan of buzzy vibrations generally. As a rule, I’m all about the rumble. But holy shit, this toy when they’re both on together…. wow! The multi-layered stimulation is super intense and, for wand of a better word, nuanced. I found that it felt best when I laid it along one side of my vulva and allowed the vibrations to thrum through my labia to my clit.

Hot Octopuss Kurve Review: Controls

The Kurve’s controls require a little getting used to, though they’re fairly intuitive once you learn which button does what. The treble and bass controls are conveniently marked on the handle.

Hot Octopuss Kurve vibrator for g-spot and clitoral stimulation

There are also two small buttons, one that turns both the treble and bass off simultaneously, and one that switches between patterns. The Hot Octopuss Kurve has 5 patterns and each motor has 5 speeds.

The buttons are raised, making it easy to find them without looking, and easy to press. Once you’ve memorised which side is treble and which is bass, you can operate the toy completely by feel.

Verdict

The Hot Octopuss Kurve is a damn good toy.

I do have a couple of small complaints that I hope will be ironed out in subsequent versions. Most notably, the seam between the silicone shaft and plastic handle is uneven in a way that is a little unsightly on an otherwise luxurious looking toy (not to mention a potential bacteria trap.) It would also be nice to be able to control patterns independently for each motor, as well as the speeds.

In the scheme of things, though, they’re small issues and this is a great product that I thoroughly recommend.

The Kurve retails for £89.95 and is available directly from Hot Octopuss.

Why Do People Like Pain? 5 Common Reasons Behind Sexual Masochism

You absolutely don’t have to like pain, sexually or otherwise, to do BDSM. There are plenty of kinky things you can do that don’t involve pain play at all! From gentle dominance to sensual play, praise kinks, chastity, and beyond, there are all kinds of ways to get kinky without needing to give or receive pain. With that said, lots of people do enjoy a little (or a lot of) ouch with their kink. So why do people like pain?

People who like pain sexually are called masochists. Sexual masochism is still quite stigmatised, but it’s also pretty common. Masochism is not inherently disordered, or unhealthy. As long as you are engaging with your masochistic desires in a risk-aware and consensual way with other adults in an appropriate setting, there’s nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

By the way: masochists aren’t aroused by all pain in all circumstances. I might enjoy a partner paddling my ass, but I hate stubbing my toe or walking into things as much as anyone (which is annoying, because I’m clumsy.)

Why Do People Like Pain?

I can’t give you a comprehensive answer to this question, because sexual masochists are all unique people who enjoy pain in different ways and for different reasons. With that said, here are a few of the main reasons I’ve encountered why some people find pain sexually arousing.

They Enjoy a Challenge

Some people like light pain play, staying well inside their comfortable level of tolerance. Others prefer to push their boundaries. For these players, the challenge can sometimes be the point. It can give them an endorphin rush and a sense of accomplishment.

Some say that an intense pain play scene is a bit like pushing yourself through the last half-mile of a particularly intense run, only a lot more fun. (I fucking hate running. Kink over marathons any day, thanks!)

Taking Pain as An Act of Service

Ultimately, partners should only ever inflict pain on us because we want them to. Otherwise it would be abuse! However, in the context of carefully negotiated scenes and clearly defined limits, taking pain “for” someone else as an act of submission or service can be highly erotic and satisfying for some kinksters.

Pain Can Alter Your Headspace

Some people like pain not just for how it feels physically and sexually, but for what it can do to them mentally. Physical sensations can help us get into a particular mental zone or headspace. Many submissives find that pain inflicted by a dominant partner can help to alter their mental state or even put them into subspace.

For me, one of the most interesting questions while negotiating a kink scene is “how do you want to feel?” Perhaps you want to feel cherished, challenged, scared, safe, taken, useful, or something else entirely. Pain, depending on how you use it, can help you to get into any of these headspaces and many more.

It Gets Them Out of Your Head

One of the reasons I like sex in general, and kink more specifically, is because it pulls me out of my head. As a writer and an overthinker with ADHD, I live perpetually in my head. It’s loud in here. In the right context, the physical sensation of consensually-inflicted pain can help to turn down the volume and ground me in my body instead of my brain for a while.

Pain Can Get You High (Kind Of)

Sometimes the reason why people like pain is physiological. Pain causes the central nervous system to release endorphins. These powerful hormones are the body’s feel-good chemicals which are also released in response to all kinds of pleasurable experiences, from eating delicious food to having an orgasm. Endorphins can produce a profoundly euphoric effect, which some liken to a natural high.

Endorphins also act as pain relievers, by the way, which might account for why some masochists’ pain tolerance goes up as a scene progresses.

Why Do People Like Pain? Sometimes They Just Do

Sometimes kinks just are what they are. There isn’t always a strong reason why a person enjoys a particular sensation or type of play, and that’s okay. If you like pain, sexually or otherwise, you might know exactly why or you might have no idea. Either way is fine!

Learn More About Pain on Purpose and Why People Like It Beyond the Bedroom

This post is primarily about sexual masochism. However, the bedroom isn’t the only place that people engage intentionally with things that hurt. If you’d like to learn more about why people like to do things that cause pain, from ballet to eating hot chilli peppers to running ultramarathons, I highly recommend the book Hurts So Good: The Science and Culture of Pain on Purpose by Leigh Cowart.

[Toy Review] We-Vibe Touch X

Earlier this week, I post a review of the Tango X from We-Vibe’s new and updated range; today it’s the turn of the WeVibe Touch X.

However, my perspective on this is slightly different. I’ve never tried or owned the original WeVibe Touch, so this is a stand-alone review of the Touch X rather than a comparison between a newer and older product.

We-Vibe Touch X Review: Details and Interface

The WeVibe Touch X is a petite, palm-sized clitoral vibrator with a concave side and a tapered tip.

We-Vibe Touch X clitoral vibrator

It measures 4″ in total length and is made of 100% body-safe, smooth silicone. Mine is pink (well, it’s really more pinkish orange.) It is also available in a dark sea-green.

Clitoral vibrator with tapered tip for pinpoint clit stimulation. Vibrator by We-Vibe

The Touch X is fully waterproof and USB rechargeable. It comes with a small white silky storage bag.

The WeVibe Touch X features 8 levels of intensity and 7 patterns. The simple user interface is identical to that of the Tango X: two buttons to change the intensity up and down, and a central button to switch between patterns.

Vibrator buttons on the We-Vibe Touch X powerful external vibrator

The buttons are intuitively placed and relatively easy to press. However, they’re a bit fiddly due to their small size. I would have liked them to be a little bigger. The Touch X also features a cool press-and-hold button functionality, so you can just hold the up or down button until you get the exact level of intensity you’re after.

WeVibe Tango Review: In use

I think the new generation Touch has the same motor as the new Tango X. However, I found that the silicone dampened the vibrations to such an extent that they felt far weaker and more buzzy.

Side view of We-Vibe Touch X new generation clit vibe

Though I can get off with the Touch X, I found it a pretty frustrating experience. As a big lover of We-Vibe products, I kept thinking that this couldn’t be as high as the power goes. But it was.

I do like the tapered shape, but the vibrations themselves were disappointing. I can comfortably say this is by far the most underwhelming We-Vibe product I’ve tried, and I doubt I’ll be reaching for it again.

WeVibe Touch X Review: Verdict

Perhaps it’s because I tested and wrote my review of the Tango X first, which I loved, but I found the Touch X just okay.

It’s well-designed and I like the shape. The motor itself is decent. However, I think the silicone just dampened the vibrations a little too much for me. The result was all buzz and not intense enough. I don’t get the deep, satisfying rumble from the Touch X that both Tango models provide.

If you like a still-respectable-but-slightly-gentler vibration, get the Touch. If you need pinpoint stimulation or intense, rumbly power, the Tango X will be your new best friend.

The Touch X retails for £89.99/$109 and is available from retailers such as Lovehoney UK, Lovehoney US, Good Vibes, Babeland, Sex Toys UK, The Pleasure Garden, and Shevibe.

[Toy Review] We-Vibe Tango X

One of the world’s most powerful bullet vibrators, not to mention one of the most popular, has had a makeover: the WeVibe Tango has become the Tango X, which can only mean it’s time for another WeVibe review.

WeVibe Tango X Bullet: What’s Changed?

There are a few notable differences between the WeVibe Tango X and the original Tango bullet. The X is slightly larger, measuring just under 10cm in from base to tip (the original is around 8.5cm.)

We-Vibe Tango X and Tango Original comparison

The new Tango X retains the signature lipstick-style tapered tip of the original, but features a silicone grip around the base. This makes it more comfortable to hold and means that your hand gets vibrated slightly less in use.

The Tango X has had a motor upgrade, taking this already super-powerful bullet vibe up to the next level. Its battery life has had a boost, too. You’ll now get around 2 hours runtime out of a 90 minute charge.

Finally—and this is a big deal—the controls have been upgraded. Instead of the original Tango’s one-button interface in the base of the toy, the Tango X features three buttons, allowing you to cycle between patterns and change speeds up and down with ease. The power buttons also feature a press-and-hold function, allowing you to choose exactly what level of power you want simply by holding the button down.

The WeVibe Tango X bullet offers 7 patterns and 8 intensity levels. It is waterproof, USB rechargeable, and has a travel lock. In the box, you’ll also find the charging cable, a sachet of WeVibe water-based lube, and a white silky storage bag. My Tango X is navy blue, but it’s also available in pink.

WeVibe Tango X Review: In Use

The small but mighty Tango has always been a great toy, and this new iteration continues that tradition. It is light (less than 40g!), the new handle makes it ergonomic and comfortable to hold, and it’s small enough to pop in your bag or pocket. The dream travel toy when you need to maximise space!

And those vibrations… wow.

This new edition Tango delivers in that department and then some. The vibrations are powerful as fuck. Not only that, they’re also rumbly as fuck. There’s no surface-level, numbing buzz here. It’s all powerful, intense rumbles that penetrate deep into the body. Think of it as like a deep tissue massage for your genitals.

The WeVibe Tango X is also surprisingly quiet, making it a great choice if discretion is a must for you. The new style buttons are a little smaller than I would ideally like, but intuitively located and easy enough to press.

Like the original Tango, the Tango X’s shape is dreamy. You can use the shaft for broader stimulation, or the tapered end for perfect, precision clit stim. It’s also small enough to slide between bodies during penetrative sex, if that’s your thing.

Honestly, I’m a simple creature when it comes to my sex toys. I want intense, rumbly power that is easy to use and gets me off. In that respect, the Tango X delivers and then some.

Verdict

An upgrade in every way! I often roll my eyes when toy companies release “new and improved” versions, adding features that no-one asked for and upping the price. But the WeVibe X is legitimately an improvement on an already great product.

It has everything you love about the original Tango, only with better controls, a more comfortable grip, and even more power.

The Tango X retails for £79.99/$79 and is available from retailers such as Lovehoney UK, Lovehoney US, SheVibe, Good Vibes, Babeland, or directly from the manufacturer (North America/Europe) and help me out by sending a small commission my way!

Thanks to Wow Tech for sending me the WeVibe Tango X to review.

[Kink Product Review] Sportsheets Vegan Saffron Layer Paddle

A paddle is one of the best impact toys to start with if you’re new to kink and BDSM. It’s relatively safe and easy to use one, and they’re cheap and readily accessible. Today I’m reviewing the Sportsheets Vegan Saffron Layer Paddle.

Sportsheets Saffron Layered Kink Paddle

The Saffron Layer Paddle comes from Sportsheets’ Saffron range of vegan faux-leather kink products in black and red. It features three layered straps which are coated in fuzzy suede-like material (also vegan) on one side. The stitching is strong and holds up under use.

I have complicated feelings about “vegan leather,” given that it’s basically plastic. Better for animals, maybe, but arguably not better for the planet. There’s no perfect answer here and you’ll need to decide what your personal stance is. Whatever you decide, choose items you really love and care for them so they’ll last as long as possible.

The paddle is black and red, which are pretty much the quintessential “kink colours”. The outward facing surfaces are red, and the front side of the handle features a polka dot design.

The Saffron kink paddle has a loop handle which you can wrap around your wrist while you’re wielding the paddle, or use to hang it for convenient storage. A small tag bears the Sportsheets insignia.

Saffron Layer Paddle vegan BDSM toy

This paddle is 12.2″ long from tip to tip, and 2″ across. It’s super light, which makes it comfortable to hold and easy to wield. I don’t really top very often but on the rare occasions I do, I like toys that I can use until my bottom has had enough (as opposed to when my weak arms give out!)

Saffron Kink Paddle In Use: Its Bark is Worse than Its Bite

This probably isn’t a paddle for serious pain players, as the impact it delivers is on the gentler side. Pro tip: if you hit with the longest layer impacting the body first, you get a more impressive sting. The impact is pretty surface-level. Since the paddle is so light, you’re unlikely to get any significant thud out of it.

This is one of those paddles that sounds worse than it is. Thanks to the three layers smacking together, it provides a loud and satisfying thwack even without putting much force behind it. If you’re looking for something that sounds impressive without needing to actually hit very hard, layered paddles are the way to go!

Safety Considerations: Minimising Risk During Impact Play

Paddles are amongst the safest impact kink toys you can play with (floggers are slightly more dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing, and whips are yikes-just-don’t-go-there-without-expert-tuition!) You’re really unlikely to do any damage with a light paddle like this one, so you can play without worrying – even if you’re a complete beginner.

Just remember the golden rules: never hit the joints, spine, lower back and kidney area, head, or face. Aim for fleshy and padded areas like the butt, thighs, and shoulder blades.

Verdict

This is a well-made and reliable basic piece that will serve you well and last a long time if you take care of it. If you’re new to kink or prefer playing on the lighter side and are looking for a vegan-friendly paddle, this is a solid buy.

The Sportsheets Saffron Layer Paddle retails for $24 from Good Vibes and Babeland.

[Toy Review] Avant Pride P8 Bi Pride Dildo

What better way to show your bisexual pride than through your sex toys? Today I’m pleased to be reviewing the P8 dildo from the Avant Pride range.

Avant Pride P8 Dildo: Details

The Avant Pride P8 by Blush sex toys is a hand-poured silicone dildo in the bisexual pride colours: pink, blue, and purple.

Avant Pride P8 bisexual pride dildo

Aesthetically, I love this toy straight away. Weirdly, it looks super shiny in the product pic but the real version is definitely more matte (though no less beautiful.)

The Pride P8 offers 6.9″ (17.7cm) in insertable length, and just under 1.5″ (3.8cm) in girth. It is semi-realistic in shape, with a veined shaft leading to a lifelike pronounced head.

The Avant Pride P8 comes with a strong suction cup base, allowing you to affix it to any solid surface. This toy is also harness-compatible. You’ll need a 1.5″ O-ring to pair it with your favourite strap-on harness.

Avant Sex Toys Bisexual Pride P8: In Use

This toy’s silicone is super silky, squishy and velvety. It feels lovely to the touch.

The Pride P8 dildo’s shaft is straight, but very flexible. It has tonnes of give which allows for comfortable insertion and thrusting, and it flexes with your body so you can angle it in the way that works for you. Honestly, if anything, I might have liked a little LESS flex. I occasionally found it hard to get the amount of G-spot pressure I prefer. I also would have preferred a little more of a curve to the shaft.

People who like girthier sex toys might find the Bisexual Pride P8 too narrow for their tastes. Personally, I love a good slimline dick sometimes (too much girth can hurt) and the P8 is an ideal size.

With that said, the P8 still feels great in use. The ridges provide gentle internal stimulation and the head is just the right size and shape. I’m likely to reach for this dildo when my body is craving something gentler than my rigid toys.

This toy is also anal-safe, thanks to its flared base. The Bisexual Pride P8’s slim design might make it particularly good for those who are just exploring anal play and find thicker sex toys intimidating.

Verdict

The Avant Pride P8 is a simple yet stylish, effective, and versatile dildo. It’s comfortable to use and visually gorgeous.

If you’re a bisexual babe (or ally) of any gender looking to show off your pride through your sex toys, you’ve come to the right place. The Avant Pride P8 retails from £40/$60 and is available from Good Vibes, Babeland, Shevibe, and Sex Toys UK.
